So Into You really surprised me—in the best way. It’s a thoughtful and emotional story that explores family, anxiety, and love in a really genuine way.
Britt is a quiet soul who teaches art through her YouTube channel and mostly keeps to herself. She’s been living with her mom for years, and you can really feel how small her world has become. Then there’s Hunter, who’s made some serious mistakes in his past but is doing the hard work to rebuild. When he stumbles across Britt’s videos, something about her draws him in—and from there, everything slowly begins to shift for both of them.
Their connection is honest and a little awkward at times, but that’s what made it feel so real. They see each other in ways no one else does. I loved watching them open up, even when things got messy. And trust me—everyone in this book is holding something back. When the secrets finally come out? Buckle up.
There were a few moments where the storylines felt a bit crowded, and I did find myself needing to pause and refocus here and there. But overall, I really enjoyed this one. It’s not just a romance—it’s about second chances, healing old wounds, and learning how to move forward even when things don’t go as planned.
If you're into slower-paced, character-focused stories with emotional depth and a soft romance at the center, this might be your next cozy-but-complicated read.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC 💛

So Into You is a contemporary romance novel written by Kathleen Fuller.
Summary: Hunter Pickett’s destructive past is littered with broken relationships, drinking, and drugs.
He’s cleaned up his act, but now his life consists of a dead-end warehouse job and no prospects for the future.
Britt is a successful YouTube artist with thousands of followers. But crippling anxiety keeps her from enjoying life outside of her internet world.
When an unlikely friendship forms between Hunter and Britt, can they help each other move past their personal issues? Or when all the secrets are revealed, will it destroy their relationship forever?
My Thoughts: I liked this book. It is a light romantic read, is written well, and has a nicely developed backstory which allows the reader to easily understand and invest in the characters.
Each person has plenty of baggage, but I really liked how the characters were able to lean on each other through their vulnerabilities and their strengths and develop into stronger versions of themselves in the end.
This book is a very enjoyable read, and I definitely commend it.
I would like to thank Thomas Nelson Fiction for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

This was not my cup of tea. The blurb makes you think that this will be a story about Britt and Hunter. Nowhere in the blurb does it mention that it’s also about Britt’s parents, Amy and Daniel.
I despised Britt’s mom who was overbearing to the point that I can’t believe the story ended with them having a relationship. There was a lot of talk about god and church, and felt preachy at time. Ultimately, it felt like two books mashed into one, and not well, as the voice didn’t change for any of the four main characters.
This book’s plot would have been better as a made for tv movie.

So Into You follows Britt Branch, a socially anxious artist and YouTuber, and Hunter Pickett, a reformed bad boy and recovering alcoholic. When the two strike a deal, art lessons in exchange for social coaching, their connection begins as a practical arrangement but slowly deepens into something more. As their relationship grows, both are forced to confront secrets and past wounds that threaten to hold them back.
One of the novel’s greatest strengths is its sensitive and realistic portrayal of mental health and addiction. Britt’s anxiety is depicted with care, showing her slow, sometimes uncomfortable journey toward independence. Her progress feels genuine, not rushed or overly dramatized. Meanwhile, Hunter’s redemption arc explores his struggle with purpose and identity after addiction, giving him space to grow without glossing over the challenges. Their development feels hard-won and meaningful: Britt finds confidence and autonomy, and Hunter begins to forge a life beyond his family’s expectations.
The story is also enriched by a strong supporting cast, including Britt’s divorced (and healing) parents and the quirky owners of the local art store. These characters help ground the narrative and add depth without overshadowing the central romance.
While the pacing can be uneven at times especially in the first half, the emotional payoff is worth the wait. So Into You is a heartfelt, quietly powerful romance about healing, self-discovery, and the courage to be vulnerable. It avoids clichés and quick fixes, focusing instead on the slow, steady work of becoming whole.
This is a gentle, introspective love story that resonates long after the final page. Perfect for readers who enjoy character-driven romances with emotional depth and a clean, thoughtful approach to serious themes.

A heartfelt blend of art, anxiety, and second chances. this story is a charming opposites attract romance that is much more than your average love story. I loved Britt’s character as she is refreshingly real, and her chemistry with Hunter is sweet.
Many thanks to Thomas Nelson Fiction and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Hunter Pickett grew up in a very wealthy family, but after falling by the wayside due to drugs and alcohol, he has vowed to turn his life around. On his own. But he is working a job at a warehouse and is struggling to find himself. One night while scrolling, he comes across Britt Branch's online channel and is mesmerized. Hunter has never been interested in drawing or art, but something about Britt draws him in. Britt struggles with severe social anxiety, but somehow finds herself willing to give Hunter lessons. Britt and Hunter are both hiding things from each other as well as others in their life. Will they be willing to open up to each other or are they going to continue to hide their full selves? A cute romance story that had you cheering for both main characters throughout the book.

Due to medical reasons, I was unable to fully read this book before it expired. I throughly enjoyed what I did read, however I cannot write a proper review due to this. I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Everything was the same rehashed thing over and over. I was bored. I struggled through this one. Plus. the main story definitely felt like it got shoved to the side.

This was a cute easy rom com. I feel like the characters were real and relatable. I enjoyed the story and hire drawn in to it I felt while reading. Will be reading more from this author

I really wanted to love this book, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. One of my biggest issues was the heavy focus on the parents' point of view. While I understand the intent might have been to add depth or context, it ended up distracting from the main story. I picked up the book hoping to get swept up in the main characters' love story, but instead, it felt sidelined and underdeveloped. By the end, I was left feeling unfulfilled and disconnected from the romance that should have been the heart of the story.

I had a really hard time finishing this, I personally didn't like the writing style and the dynamics of the mother and daughter relationship...

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is a heartfelt rom-com in which opposites most definitely do attract! There are a few heavier topics in this book, but they are handled well.
Britt is a painter who struggles with social anxiety and prefers to teach online through her own art channel. Hunter is a former addict who has spent some time in jail and is now trying to rebuild his life and mend relationships with his family. Hunter came across a painting video of Britt's and realized how much it and she brings calm to his life. The two start to communicate back and forth via DMs and their friendship grows as they each help the other with certain issues.
I was intrigued by the plot but the more I read, the more things started to become repetitive. The same issues and almost the same conversations were brought up repeatedly, making the storyline drag. I also didn't love the subplot involving Britt's parents, which I know gives context to Britt's personality, but I feel like there was TOO much focus on that subplot. I really enjoyed the care that Ms. Fuller used when writing about the social anxiety and addiction storylines. The mental health representation was great. But, of course, there was a lot of miscommunication during the last few acts (and I absolutely HATE that as a trope).
Oveall this was a sweet story with great mental health discussion, a bit too much miscommunication for my taste, and a subplot that might be unnecessary (IMO). If you love a heartfelt contemporary romance that is clean then you will enjoy So Into You by Kathleen Fuller.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller was a cute, quick read that totally surprised me with its depth. The chemistry between the main characters felt natural and sweet, making it easy to root for them. What really stood out, though, was how the story handled mental health and addiction. It was thoughtful and added real weight to the plot without feeling heavy-handed. A feel-good romance with substance!

This book was so good! I absolutely loved it! Britt is a social media artist who lives with her divorced mom. Hunter is a ‘bad boy’ who drives a motorcycle and is changing his life away from that stereotype. The two meet through her channel, but when they meet in person they form a deal. He’ll help her overcome her social anxiety and in turn she will teach him art. We also follow Britt’s mom as she gives love a second chance. I thought this book was so delightful. I loved how the author incorporated mental illness in a way that was real and enlightening. While I’ve heard criticism for her getting better for him, I do not agree. I believe he helped her but ultimately she chose to get better for herself. The author did an amazing job writing this book! It was a sweet romance with a great plot and attraction between characters! I will be telling everyone about this book! I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in trade for my honest opinion. My thoughts are my own.

Really cute read. I liked the dynamics so much! It's really nice to see a romance book touch delicate topics and human struggles. It helps us to be more empathetic to others.
I felt that I wanted more of the romantic scenes. But I appreciate that there's no spice 💛

So Into You: A clean, opposites-attract romance featuring a former bad boy and reclusive artist by Kathleen Fuller is a unique novel. I loved the themes of redemption in this novel. I thought the author’s portrayal of a woman with severe social anxiety was really interesting. The mother and daughter characters in this book had a lot in common in the end. I think readers will enjoy this book. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

I loved this book so much! It was so different and unique. Britt was someone I could connect with and Hunter’s ability to get Britt to open up was so refreshing and sweet. I loved how Britt and Hunter connected and how Britt was able to let go of some of her fears.

I listened to the audio version on a road trip, and it was an easy read. There were a few heavier moments, but the overall tone was light. The social anxiety aspect was very interesting. I do not have this level of social anxiety, so I cannot speak to how accurate the book portrayed it.
I agree with many of the other reviews. The characters were supposed to be opposites, but they sounded very similar. The story was primarily focused on the social anxiety and the secrets everyone kept, which ended up leading to a giant miscommunication trope (my least favorite). I did not like the relationship between Britt and her mother. Considering she is supposed to be 30, the mother was very overbearing and treated her like a child.
Overall, I enjoyed the book enough, but it wasn't my favorite from this author.

So Into You is a stand alone novel by Kathleen Fuller. Britt Branch presents art lessons and shares her work with her followers on her YouTube channel. Suffering from extreme anxiety, Britt has found solace in her art and a community in her followers, the majority of which are kind and supportive.
Hunter Pickett has made a fine mess of his life never able to live up to his older brothers. What he did have was extremely good looks and passable sports ability and parents that made his legal issues disappear until they didn’t. That’s when his drinking, drug use, and minor legal infractions landed him with a brief jail stint and regular AA meetings and when he started turning his life around. Now, estranged from his family and working swing shift in a warehouse, Hunter is at a crossroads. With so much on his mind he has trouble sleeping until he stumbles upon Britt’s soothing voice and lovely work. Listening to Britt soothes Hunter’s soul and lulls him to sleep. But that isn’t quite enough. Hunter reaches out to Britt with a DM and they begin exchanging messages leading to a chance encounter in her favorite art store.
There is so much more to this interesting story, including another chance encounter that will rock the worlds of all involved. I did enjoy this story and I do recommend it!

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is a clean Christian romance. I liked the book, but it should have been a movie instead. The multiple POVs and characters kept confusing me, and I found it really hard to follow. Also, I don't know why some conversations seemed to happen over and over again without any revelations.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
