I actually checked this one out from the library way after receiving this ARC because I forgot I had it :') but I did enjoy it very much! loved Saldana's voice and wanted more. also loved the idea of each essay having a different setting in time/space, thought it was a really interesting way to lay out a life.

The best set of essays, in my opinion, teach as well as impart personal wisdom, include historical context as well contemporary actions. Saldaña Paris's essays are a dance - a waltz between adventure and personal reflection amidst philosophy and poetry. His literary voice is one of consideration while casually reflecting on his own missteps.
