I had such a great time reading these books! I love her writing, and I really enjoyed the first book, so I was really anticipating to see where these two stories was going to go. Where it went, I had to keep reading, it was so enjoyable!
That Weather Witch ended with Jordan and Rowen separated, I had to know how they were going to deal with that, and get back to each other. I just adore them together, and I was rooting for them, even as their situation became more and more precarious. They had been through a lot, and they had changed and grown.
The position that she was in, with the training to be a Conductor, it boiled my blood. The whole system was awful, and I'm glad that it ended up being the center of a revolution. That was really rewarding, to take down something awful, and replace it with something better!
I had really come to care for these characters, and I wanted what was best for them. The world has been so interesting, and it's sad to say goodbye, but it was a heck of an adventure, and I had a really great time reading it!
Loved finally finishing off this series, and I would love to read more by Shannon Delany!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing me with a copy of this book to read and give an honest review. The opinions here are my own.
In this second book of the Weather Witch series, Jordan learns about her powers. But I have to say, this one was depressing and really hard for me to get into. I love steampunk but it didn't hit with me this time. The world building was just ok and I honestly struggled at times to really understand it. I had to back track to keep up or remember what was going on.
I had some issues with some of the plot points, which included rape and I really wasn't happy with how it was introduced or handled. This turned me off from wanting to continue with the series.
