I was drawn by the title and cover art. The story was enjoyable and intriguing as a vampire romcom but does touch on a few heavy topics. I wish I could also enter the world of my favorite book!

This book was super fun and campy, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. However, it does touch on serious topics that I think are so important in today’s society, such as assault and trauma. I love a good fun vampire read that deals with heavier topics in way that’s important and valid but doesn’t bring the mood of the book down.

It was just the right amount of vampire soap opera, complete with who killed them, where did they go, bad guys pretending to be good, and a broken heart to save our loved ones. It is funny, suspenseful, and just a touch gay. Romantic but not super spicy, a good read for someone looking to get started in romance or someone who isn't looking for smutty reads.

Such a fun story and so bingeable. I was not able to put it down once I started and stayed up till 4am on a workday to read this. Absolutely zero regrets! The setting and characters are so compelling. I absolutely love the four main leads SO much! I would categorize this as an instalove story, so if you're not into that, this might not be for you, but otherwise, a definite must read!

I am so disappointed that I did not love this. I really loved this author's debut, but this just did not work for me. The pacing was clunky, the chemistry between the couple was nowhere to be found. I also had a hard time with the tone of the story. The author clearly wanted to make this book emotional and traumatic while weaving levity and humor throughout, but it was executed poorly.

I am an enormous Kate Stayman-London fan, and I think about One to Watch often, but this was just okay to me. I think her voice in her prior book was just so much more defined and interesting. I'll definitely still plan to read what she write in the future!

Fang Fiction by Kate Stayman- London is a very intriguing concept. I know I have always wished I would wake up one day in one of my favorite books. For Tess to just fall into the world of Blood Fued after she has been immersed in the books for years is crazy and every reader’s dream. Tess must help save the Vampires she has now discovered are real. Tess is dealing with trauma from SA so please check the trigger warnings. Basically, this book is for all of those who loved Vampire fandoms over the years. I am guilty of enjoying almost all of them.

I got to be honest, I picked this book up on a whim and had no idea what I was getting into.
While I won't say the book is amazing, I will say it is mostly just.. fun. It’s an easy read, with some cliche romance mixed in.

The story itself was generally pure chaos, which is what made it so fun. The characters were more often silly than serious, only changing as serious topics came up.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and it worked well as a palette cleanser.

DNF’d at 30%

This started off really strong! I was into the premise and everything was going well, but around the 25% mark it wasn’t capturing my attention.

However, I do love Kate’s writing and would be interested in reading from her again.

I admit that the title really drew me in as soon as I saw it!
It was fun, maybe a bit cheesy but anyways an enjoyable read!

I loved the premise of our FMC disappearing from her world and entering the world of her favorite book! We got lots of fun characters and TWO romance plotlines to follow, along with some plotting and scheming from the Big Bad. I definitely enjoyed this read

I’d give this book 3.5 ⭐️ ‘s.

Overall plot was great, and a great concept!
Characters were well written as well.
Some of the story line/plot did get a little scrambled, but overall a decent book!

This book is a fairly fun paranormal romance, but fell short of my expectations. Trigger warning for SA.

This book was so much fun! Kate Stayman-London's latest book FANG FICTION introduces the fictional Blood Feud series, beloved vampire novels...that may just have more truth behind them than fiction! Our main character Tess has gone through a lot, between assault and dropping out of graduate school, to losing friends and losing her sense of self. Tess's life is thrown in a wild new direction when she meets one of her favorite characters from Blood Feud in the flesh. This story is fun, romantic, glamorous, and creative! I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it, especially to fans of vampire fiction who will appreciate some of the witty takes and jokes.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for this ARC, which I received in exchange for my honest review.

This review is late but I am just now catching up!

The concept of stepping into the world of your favorite book is irresistibly fun, and the story balances humor, romance, and darker emotional themes effectively. Tess is a flawed yet endearing heroine whose journey feels grounded despite the wild vampire escapades.

That said, while I enjoyed the adventure and appreciated the clever take on fandom, I didn’t feel deeply attached to the characters or their relationships. The pacing and emotional stakes didn’t always resonate with me as strongly as I hoped.

Fang Fiction by Kate Stayman-London is everything I love in a book: witty, sharp, and self-aware while still delivering the messy, dramatic, vampire-filled chaos I signed up for.

The story follows Tess Rosenbloom, a night-shift hotel manager who spends her days buried in the Blood Feud series. Except it turns out the world of Blood Feud isn’t so fictional after all, because when one of the characters, Octavia Yoo, shows up at Tess’s hotel, everything Tess thought she knew gets flipped upside down.

She’s dropped into an island straight out of the books and meets Callum, Octavia’s twin brother, who is supposed to be the villain, but, of course, he’s not just some bad guy. He’s brooding, complicated, and impossible not to fall for. Watching Tess try to figure out what’s real, what’s true, and what she even wants is the heart of the book.

I loved how the author played with the tropes while still leaning into the drama and romance. But there’s also some real emotional depth. Tess’s obsession with the Blood Feud series is about more than just vampires; it’s about how fantasy worlds can become a lifeline when real life feels too messy to handle.

If you’re a fan of vampires, fandoms, or stories that don’t take themselves too seriously while still packing an emotional punch, Fang Fiction is 100% worth your time. It’s clever, it’s chaotic, and it’s just the right amount of over-the-top. I loved it.

Thanks Netgalley and Random House for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review

Fang Fiction was my introduction to Kate Stayman-London. I am a huge fan of vampires, both movies and books, so I was excited to jump straight into this one. Sadly, I just did not connect to the story like I had hoped I would. I loved the whole premise of the story. Imagine, if you will, a book series about real vampires! I would gobble that up!

I thought the book would be more romantic and less traumatic past, but I was wrong. We go from past accounts of trauma when romantic situations are brought up. I understand that it's real and needs to be addressed, but it's brought up quite a bit. The book was supposed to be more light-hearted, a rom-com. The book was a bit long, and it did feel like it drug on for longer than I would have liked.

The book did have some good moments of campiness, and it made many references to pop culture fandoms that I was very familiar with. I enjoyed its quirky take on things.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kate Stayman-London for gifting me an eARC of Fang Fiction. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
