Nick and Jess are romance writers who have a connected past; they used to date. Not just date, but like she’s the one, he’s the one forever type dating, until it wasn’t. That was five years ago. Now Nick has a high profile romance writer career and he is being presented with an award by his publisher. Guess who is called up to present this award? You guessed it. Cue the ex. Jess is less than thrilled, but she has to play nice for the future of her small romance career. Unexpected things happen when they are forced together, during a storm in the hotel. I think you can figure out what may go down?!
I give this 4 stars. At times a little too predictable for me, needed a little more banter, but overall a cute, fun, holiday read. I enjoyed the beginning, but didn’t love the plot setting and overall events of the last half.

This is the perfect book to read around the holidays. Great setting- an inn with cozy snowed in vibes, These characters had good chemistry and banter and I do love a second chance romance. I absolutely love Falons writing style and will pick up anything that she writes.

Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons for the arc.
This was a fun book about two romance authors who get a second chance at love for themselves. Nick is a very successful romance writer, who doesn't write traditional romances (his books do not have an HEA). He's set to receive a Writer of the Year award from his publisher, and his ex, Jessica, is to present this award to him. Jessica is not as successful an author as Nick, and, she's still very bitter about how their relationship ended, and truthfully, still very attracted to him. Which is reciprocated by Nick. Plus, Nick feels a lot of guilt about how they broke up because he instigated it.
Although there is some angst between the two leads, and many tropes are utilized (second chance romance, holiday romance, only one bed), it was still an engaging read.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely devoured this book in just one day! It had everything: sweet moments, witty banter, and a cozy Christmas vibe. The second-chance romance and slow-burn tension between Jess and Nick had me hooked, and throw in a snowstorm for some forced proximity? Yes, please!
But, I gotta say, I wish we got more of them together. We get some flashbacks to their past Christmases, but when they finally make up, the book is almost over. I wanted more of those cute, couple-y moments! The buildup to their breakup was super intense, but when the big reveal came, I felt a bit let down. It was just some classic miscommunication! I mean, seeing the breakup scene would’ve really helped us understand what went down.
As for the characters, they were mostly great, though Nick could be a bit of a lovable idiot at times. If you're into enemies-to-lovers, second chances, and a warm, cozy holiday feel, then this book is an absolute must-read!

Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam’s Sons for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
Sweet and cozy. Perhaps a touch to “tropey” but cute all the same.

All I Want Is You is my third book I've read by Falon Ballard (just need to catch up on Lease on Love), and I just really enjoy the way she leans into romance tropes and puts together the banter. I wish I'd gotten to finishing this one earlier because it's really a lovely holiday season read, just lighthearted enough and cozy with the whole "snowed in together in an inn" forced proximity, with a touch of angst in the whole second chance romance department that makes you wonder how things went so wrong when they seem so good together.
I loved how Jess and Nick can't really help but be drawn to each other. No matter how determined Jess is to stay away from him, they're just pulled together like magnets, helplessly attracted to each other. And I loved that Nick was kind of scared to hope for a second chance but also really was hoping for one deep down. I was rooting for them to figure things out and to communicate (Jess is right--though miscommunication is something that annoys a lot of readers, including me, it's pretty realistic since communication is hard! and I thought Ballard did a good job of showing that this trope is kind of unfairly shamed haha) because the rhythm they fell back into upon seeing each other again at the holiday ball felt so natural and sweet. Nick just wants to take care of Jess because he's always loved her, and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And Jess, despite her grudge against him for the way things ended, can't help but love him too. The flashbacks to their past Christmases together made me a little teary because they're so cute (and then that breakup, ouch).
I did wish to get a little more depth into their characters; we're told that Nick has never felt like his family understood him and felt alone, and the conversation he has with his mom made me tear up a bit, but because this is a relatively short book, we don't get to explore that in more depth or see examples of it and how it led to Nick feeling like he had to be focused on becoming a successful author, leading to the fallout with Jess. I appreciated the honesty of their discussion when Nick finally tells Jess what he's ashamed to admit about why he ended things in the past, and I'm glad he made that grand gesture (it was really sweet) to show her how much he loves her, but I still wanted to shake him for being stupid about it in the past haha.
Overall, All I Want Is You is a cute, fun second chance holiday romance that leans into the tropes by. being about two romance authors writing a second chance holiday romance, with good chemistry and steam and a romantic grand gesture. Ballard's writing is always easy and fun to immerse myself in, and I wish I'd started this one sooner. I'll likely reread it next holiday season!

After reading Right on Cue I was HOPING that Falon Ballard would write a holiday romance!! I’m so grateful we didn’t have to wait long at all. This is a quick, fun, second chance love story. A perfect read for the holidays!

ll I Want Is You by Falon Ballard is a heartwarming holiday read filled with enemies-to-ex-lovers tension, forced proximity, and a sweet second-chance romance! It’s a fun and festive story that delivers plenty of holiday charm, though it might not be the most swoon-worthy romance out there. Still, a delightful seasonal read!

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of All I want Is You by Fallon Ballard!

Oh, how i loved this book! Second Chance is mot generally my favorite, but the CHEMISTRY and tension between these characters was so fantastic and who doesn't love an Only One Bed in the mix
This was such a great holiday read!

I actually thought this was adorable and really enjoyed the plot and characters! I read a similar book right after that wasn’t holiday themed and found it lacking. This book was so good, you really don’t need to confine it to the holiday season.

This was a cute book with a festive vibe. Slightly cheesy in the sense that it kind of felt like a hallmark Christmas movie, but not in a bad way! If you’re looking for a quick read, this is a good option.
Thank you NetGalley for this eARC!

Binge read in one day. Absolutely wonderful!! I loved it so much. Thank you for the opportunity to ready early.

I both loved and hated this book -- I loved the premise and the romance but was frustrated with what turned out to be the root of their initial breakup which soured the ending for me. That said I loved seeing the two authors reconnect over their writing.

A Second Chance romance- my favorite trope. Jess and Nick first were critique partners, then friends, lovers and almost engaged, but something happened and Nick broke it off, never explaining why. Jess was heartbroken. Both ended up at the same publishing company, but Nick being a unicorn- straight male romance writer- was first offered a book deal. But like Nicholas Sparks, his stories lack a HEA, making them more Women's Fiction than Romance. Five years later, Jess is asked to introduce him at a rewards dinner at their common publisher's annual ball. Her career has not skyrocketed as much as his did. She reluctantly agrees and then they end up having to share the same room at the inn, snowed in. Sparks fly again, and it is clear that they are both still in love with the other, but can she trust him again with her heart. He will have to follow the romance formulae if he is going to get a HEA with her.
Love the characters, skillfully developed by the author, banter, story line and writing. I was gifted with an Advance Reader's Copy from the publisher via NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased, honest and voluntary review.

This was a great Christmas time read with a fun twist. I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and their chemistry!

*All I Want Is You* by Falon Ballard is a delightful and emotionally charged romance that hits all the right notes. The story follows two protagonists who find themselves navigating their complicated feelings and evolving relationships in a way that feels both fresh and relatable. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and their journey toward love is filled with tension, humor, and heartfelt moments.
Ballard’s writing is witty and sharp, with a perfect balance of lightheartedness and depth. The characters are well-developed, with enough vulnerability to make them feel real and authentic. While the storyline follows a familiar romance structure, it’s elevated by the emotional growth of the characters and the way the author dives into themes of self-acceptance and personal growth.
The pacing is spot-on, and the book is a quick, enjoyable read. *All I Want Is You* is a charming, feel-good romance that will leave you smiling long after you turn the last page.

I really like Fallon Ballard’s books! This one was no different. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. My only complaint is even though, the book is centered at Christmas with blizzard conditions, it did not feel like it.

All I Want Is You felt like a Lifetime Christmas movie with its cute setup of two ex's forced to spend time together when they're snowed in at their publisher's award ceremony. I did enjoy this one but it didn't quite hit the mark of a favorite book. Everything felt a bit rushed and I get that was due to the fact that they were only going to be there together for a couple days. However, I would have liked to have seen more of how they operated in their day-to-day lives together outside of being snowed in. I feel like that would have given the story a bit more space to develop.
Overall a cute read, though, and I would like to try more from the author.

All I Want Is You by Falon Ballard is a delightfully fun and steamy romance that takes the classic enemies-to-lovers trope to new heights. Jessica, a small-time romance writer longing for her own happily ever after, has spent years nursing a broken heart after her ex-boyfriend, Nick, who also writes romance, became her professional rival. Nick's dark, bittersweet love stories are a stark contrast to Jessica’s optimistic, happy endings, and their competitive relationship sets the stage for plenty of sparks.
When they find themselves stuck together in a remote inn over Christmas due to a snowstorm, forced to share a room, tensions run high. What could be more perfect for two writers facing creative slumps than channeling their simmering frustration into a passionate, whirlwind romance? The chemistry between Jessica and Nick crackles, and as they team up to create a story together, they discover that their pasts and unresolved feelings might be the key to unlocking not only their writer's block but their hearts.
Ballard’s writing is sharp, witty, and filled with the perfect balance of humor and heat. The premise of two professional rivals-turned-lovers sharing one bed in a snowed-in inn is irresistibly charming, and the evolving relationship between Jessica and Nick feels authentic and satisfying. The setting, with its cozy Christmas vibes, adds to the overall warmth of the story.
This book is perfect for fans of holiday romance, second chances, and the magic of finding love in unexpected places. All I Want Is You is a sweet and swoon-worthy tale that will leave you smiling and believing that sometimes, the one you least expect might just be the one you need.
