Falon Ballard never ever disappoints, and her latest novel, "All I Want Is You," had me at hello! I am a sucker for second chance romances, and pairing that with a Christmas backdrop is the recipe for perfection! The premise is not only original but also incredibly addictive—I devoured this novel in record time! Falon Ballard has a remarkable knack for bringing all the feels, and this 5-star rom-com delivers them all! If you're on the hunt for a fantastic holiday read, I highly recommend "All I Want Is You!"

Synopsis: Two authors (who are exes) are snowed in together at an inn after an awards ceremony. They decide to write a Christmas novel together and old sparks fly.
Pros and cons: I always love Fallon Ballard’s writing style and her happily ever after’s. This book was no different and was short and sweet (only 250 pages.)
My only cons were that this book was heavy on “how to write a book”- so not a ton of plot, and was overly spicy, even for me.
But check it out later this holiday season for sure! Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy.
3.5/5

Falon Ballard has a formula for a her perfect cute rom com, and this one follows it to a t. This particular story is is a slow build second chance romance and I was rooting for Nick and Jess the whole time. Loved the snowstorm and holiday charm that permeated this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is packed full of holiday charm and rom-com tropes and cackle worthy side characters, and it left me happy in the way that only a holiday story can. Nick and Jess embody the bitter sweetness of a second chance romance and their chemistry is out of control. This book was so fun and I can’t wait to see it out in the world this holiday season!

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for this e-ARC!

I truly love Falon Ballard's writing and will always read her work, even if that means it's her grocery list. I really enjoyed this short, sweet, and spicy novella from Falon and this will be a great holiday rom-com once it hits the shelves. A little bet meta and a little too on the nose in some moments but overall another enjoyable read.

thanks so much for the arc! for any prospective readers - this book is such a fun cozy romcom, the only area that falls short is the dialogue. that is the only area of improvement - dialogue in this book just sounds corny and isn't really believable. but all the other ingredients are there and work perfectly! can't wait for f. b.'s next.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book. This is a cute second chance holiday romance. Both main characters are romance authors. I am usually not the biggest fan of holiday romances but Falon Ballard may have just converted me to a fan of holiday romance. This book was addicting. I did not want to put it down once I started it. This book has a small amount of spice but I was rooting for these characters the entire time. I highly recommend this book to anyone for loves a good second chance romance.

Falon Ballard has become a favorite and All I Want is You is another winner. It’s a charming second chance romance between a pair of romance writers who find themselves forced to write their next book together after they pitch similar plots.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

This was my first Falon Ballard novel and I really enjoyed this holiday time romance. I loved the premise of the story, second change romance, and finding their happy ending. The dialogue was witty, the setting was cozy, and the outcome was the expected HEA. Highly recommend for those cold winters nights!

The book can be best described as "adorable". It had a cute and charming quality. There were some intimate scenes sprinkled throughout, adding a touch of spice. It evoked a desire in me to curl up with a peppermint mocha at a Starbucks during the Christmas season, even though I am not particularly festive.
The main characters, Nick and Jessica, are both romance writers. Jessica is the epitome of a "live, laugh, love" kind of girl, who adores Christmas and believes in happily ever afters. On the other hand, Nick is the type of writer who doesn't shy away from crushing your hopes and dreams with an unhappy ending. They used to be in a relationship until Nick broke Jessica's heart without any apparent reason. Despite years passing since their breakup, they still go out of their way to avoid each other, even though they work for the same publishing company. However, fate intervenes when Jessica is compelled to present an award to Nick at a company ceremony, much to her displeasure. To make matters worse, the hotel loses her reservation, forcing her to share a room with Nick.
I managed to finish reading this book within a day, as it was a quick read. While I did enjoy it, I can't say that I was very delighted. It was just alright overall.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc!

Christmas time. Forced proximity. One bed situation. Trapped by a blizzard. Second chance romance. Sound appealing? Then check out Falon Ballard’s All I Want is You set to release 9/24/24. We meet Nick and Jess who are both romance authors at SVP publishing. At the time they signed with SVP, they were dating, but Nick breaks up with Jess shortly after the contracts are inked but we don’t know why. Fast forward four years, and Nick is an accomplished author while Jess is still looking for success. Jess’s agents breaks the news that Jess has to travel to an inn in upstate NY to present Nick with SVPs romance author of the year award. Jess reluctantly agrees knowing her career is on the line. While the banquet is in full swing, a blizzard descends upon the town shutting everything down. No big deal! Jess can’t hunker down in her hotel room, except they lost her reservation and the hotel is at full capacity. She’s forced to room with Nick with only one bed. As they reconnect, their publishers catch on to the chemistry and challenge them to write a Christmas second chance romance. The best part of the book is watching Nick and Jess’s second chance romance play out as they write one. At the core, this is a miscommunication trope. Jess and Nick love each other and always have but they needed the forced proximity situation to find each other again. This story takes places over 3-4 days, has a dual POV, and flashback chapters to help us fill in the blanks. You’ll have to pick up the book in September to see Nicks sweet grand gesture! This book has amazing Christmas vibes and really made me crave a peppermint mocha. Thanks to NetGalley and Putnam books!

[Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam / G. P. Putnam’s Sons for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.]

This is a cute story that's ideal for the holiday season. The majority of the book takes place at a quaint hotel that's perfectly decorated for Christmas. All of the guests end up trapped thanks to a snowstorm. Due to a reservation error, Jess finds herself without a room... but Nick (Jess's ex-boyfriend) saves the day and offers to share his room with Jess.

This book is a quick read. Partly because it's only 265 pages but I also read it in a day because I really wanted to know what Nick's reasoning was. The flashbacks made it seem like Jess and Nick had a perfect relationship so I couldn't figure why Nick would ever break up with Jess. Honestly, Nick's reasoning for calling things off was incredibly weak and I rolled my eyes a little bit when his reasoning was revealed. Maybe if the story were longer and more details were given on their relationship before the breakup, Nick's decision would have been more convincing.

Ballard is very good at writing witty banter and ultimately, I really was rooting for Jess and Nick to figure things out. I definitely recommend reading this book with whoever your preferred holiday beverage is!

I really enjoyed this story!

Jessica is trying to come up with a new book idea and balancing her barista job at the coffee shop when she receives an email from her agent inviting her to present this years Romance author award to her rival (and ex) Nick Mathews at the upcoming Holiday gala. Jessica hasn’t seen Nick since he broke up with her 5 years ago and broke her heart. She wants to refuse to do it, but her agent says it’s a great opportunity for her career and not doing it isn’t an option.

Jessica barely makes it to the awards gala on time to present the award as she has to weather the beginning of a snow storm on her way. After the gala there’s a reservation mix up at the Inn where everyone is staying and snow storm gets worse, forcing Jessica and Nick to interact for the first time since their break-up.

What you’ll find:
Forced proximity
Dual POV
A charming Inn
Being snowed in
One bed
A love of coffee
Past secrets
A drinking/honesty game
Second chance at love
Great banter!
Holiday traditions

I love a good dual POV and getting Nick and Jessica’s stories endeared me to both of them! The story pulled me in immediately and I was unable to put it down!

Romance content: A couple open door scenes and language

Aaaah this book was really cute and cozy. It was a fast paced read that quickly caught my interest from the very beginning. I loved both of the main characters, and found their dynamic charming and at times even funny.

It's been five years since Jessica and Nick broke up and they have not seen each other since. Now, their publishing company has brought them together at an awards show - what can go wrong? Ballard has combined the best romance tropes, enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance, forced proximity, miscommunication, and more, together into this one holiday novel what a guaranteed HEA.

Thanks to NetGalley for the digital advanced copy!

This holiday romantic comedy is an absolute delight! Jess is a struggling romance author who loves all things Christmas. Nick is a highly successful romance author who hates Christmas. Even more complicated? She hates him after he broke her heart five years ago.

When these two are forced to share an inn (and a room 🤭) old feelings surface quickly. But as these two romance authors face the miscommunication trope in real life, they realize maybe there’s a reason their characters always have such a hard time.

This book delivered on every ounce of Falon Ballard charm I’ve come to know and love. It was hilarious, it was emotional, and it had some great spice!
