Fallon Ballard delivers a remarkable Christmas romance! Totally swoon-worthy, cozy, and perfect for the holiday season!

You know a book is good when you find yourself covering your mouth and silently screaming while reading and this book had me doing just that over and over again. If you’re looking for a cute (and at times spicy) holiday read that you won’t be able to put down- RUN and get this book! If there’s one thing I know to be true it’s that BALLARD 👏🏼 NEVER 👏🏼 MISSES 👏🏼.

Really cute christmas book without being over the top about christmas.

It's a second chance romance (my favorite) about two romance authors. I really enjoy reading books where the main characters are authors, love being inside their head and the way they think.

This book was almost perfect, but I still felt like something was missing to give it the full 5 stars. Definitively pick it up if you're looking for a holiday read.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this one in exchange for an honest review!

This book is a Christmas romance that focuses on two exes that are professional rivals. They come back together and have to share a room when they get snowed in.

This book was not for me. I did not like the main characters at all. The man was annoying and the woman just forgave everything. The main reason I don't tend to like second chance romance is because the original breakup was either unforgivable or it shouldn't have happened in the first place and then I don't think they should be together. I felt like the reason for the breakup in this one was just unforgiveable so I ended up disliking both characters.

I also felt like there was a lot of spice and barely any plot and that is just not my type of book.

I hope others love it but it was not for me.

Well, this went off the rails a bit at the end. I enjoyed this book for the majority of the time, but I was cringing at the reason they broke up in the first place.

Jess and Nick are both romance writers for the same publisher. They were in a committed relationship for several years until Nick dumps Jess without any reasoning. Fast forward three years and they are about to be reunited at an industry event where Nick is being honored with an award that Jess is forced to present to him. Once they are there, all the original sparks fly, but can they overcome past hurt to make their relationship last this time around?

There were several things I liked about this book. I thought the couple was cute together, albeit with many issues they needed to work through. I liked the atmosphere of the snowed-in lodge and the look at romance book publishing, most especially them working together on the book. I also thought the grand gesture was cute. I think where this book lost me was the second chance trope. If these two had just been enemies in the romance world, I think this book would have been stronger. The reason they split up makes it really hard to root for this couple. They seemingly had the perfect relationship and then he leaves her for a very questionable reason. It also comes to light right at the end of the novel which doesn't give the reader much time to "get over it".

Overall, this was a quick, cute read. It just left a weird taste in my mouth because of the selfish motives in their break up. Falon Ballard is still one of my top new authors and I'll continue to read whatever she publishes!

Thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam and Sons for the e-book in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted to love this one but it just fell flat for me. I got through it quickly because it was a short read but all around I was disappointed in it.

Short and sweet and REALLY wanted to love this one but it was just hard to get past the why part of the second chance romance. I liked Nick and Jess, am generally a fan of everything the author writes, and LOVED the idea of being snowed in with a single bed situation, but this one felt hard to connect to and didn't feel fully flushed out.

THIS IS MY OFFICIAL STANCE THAT FALON BALLARD IS THE MOST SLEPT ON ROMANCE AUTHOR!!!!! This book was amazing omg I seriously loved these characters so much and my heart was in my throat for this second chance romance.

This book has:
- one bed trope
- second chance romance
- banter
- forced proximity
- two romance authors writing together!!

I just can’t recommend this enough if you haven’t read any FALON BALLARD yet let this be your introduction!!

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Christmas Cheer: 🎄🎄🎄

All I Want Is You forces Jessica, an author, to introduce her author ex, Nick, at an event where he is being presented with a major award. When a storm hits and Jessica’s room reservation is lost, she is forced to room with Nick and confront their past.
This story reads more like a hallmark movie than what I’ve come to expect from Fallon Ballard. When I got to that understanding, I settled in and enjoyed the heavily tropey, overly meta story.
At times, I was very confused both want to stay enemies, but they enter a game of sexual tension teasing for… no reason? And they’re romance writer exes that both get inspired to do a second chance romance after reconnecting and… don’t see how the inspiration is connected? We expect some improbable coincidences in romance but these two characters seemed deliberately obtuse. Even the side characters felt one dimensional, and we had to be told everything about them since we never saw much of them on page.
The setting was great, very Christmas, very romantic, and being snowed in was a great trope. The story would’ve benefitted from being shorter, maybe a novella, then the offenses would be more forgivable.

I always enjoy a Falon Ballard book!
I loved the forced proximity and the holiday theme. In this case, I felt like the slow burn worked, mostly because they already have a past and foundation of some sort of relationship. I like that they didn't just jump right in, regardless of consequences.
The writing style was simple but engaging and made the slow burn work with the pace. I enjoyed Jess more than Nick. I like that she was very aware of her feelings and took time to sort them out. I felt like Nick was a little disconnected at times. I also liked the idea of them writing a book together but it also was slightly confusing. Is that really realistic? I also never felt like we learned what the book was even really about.
Overall, a fun read and perfect for the holidays!

While I have loved all of this author's work this may be one of my favorites. Lovers to enemies to lovers. The characters the setting everything was just so perfect. I was immediately captivated. My only real complaint is that the book felt too short, I needed 200 more pages of these two! Cannot wait for Ballard's next release!

✨ ALL I WANT IS YOU ✨
Rating: 5 ⭐️ - I Loved It

I’m a BIG fan of @falon and her short and sweet romances - Lease on Love & Just My Type have been big favorites of mine the last few years! So when she announced her first holiday romance, I knew this was going to be one of the first holiday reads I would pick up!

ALL I WANT IS YOU follows Jess and Nick - both writers & former lovers. When a snow storm hits the cozy winter inn they are both at for their publishers holiday party, they are forced to coincide. Before they know it, they’ve been tasked by their agents to co-write a book together.

❤️ for my LOVERS of second chance, forced proximity, one bed, dual-POV and timeline romances! With some heat and lots of banter and spice!

❤️ this one is SHORT & SWEET - the perfect holiday book to binge in a day by the fire or for me, watching football!

❤️ oh I just LOVED so much about this, both Jess and Nick, their banter and chemistry, their story, the ups and downs! This one is holiday themed but also has lots of cozy/winter vibes!

❤️ Christmas in NYC is one of my absolute favorite things, so ALL the perfect holiday scenes were perfection for me

This one just wasn’t for me. I found myself skimming 3/4 of the book. Didn’t really love either of the main characters and the plot didn’t hold my attention. I didn’t really care if the two characters got back together at all.

As someone who loves to travel and who rarely sees snow, getting snowed in at a hotel sounds like a wintry dream come true! However, everything is not coming up roses for the blizzard-bombarded characters in Falon Ballard’s new holiday-themed novel All I Want Is You.

As the story goes, there’s no room at the inn. Romance author Jessica Carrington thought that things couldn’t possibly get worse when she was asked to present a prestigious award to fellow writer and personal rival Nick Matthews … who just so happens to also be her ex. But the trouble is just getting started - when the hotel flubs Jessica’s reservation and informs her that they do not have a room for her, she finds herself sharing a room with Nick. Assuming she will be heading home the next morning, she assures herself that she can survive one night with her ex, but Jessica’s plans quickly change when she learns that they are snowed in at the inn. In an attempt toward goodwill and all, Jessica and Nick call a truce, but the one thing they did not expect was to admit that they still have feelings for each other. The weather outside might be frightful, but inside it’s looking more delightful by the minute.

All I Want Is You is a short and sweet holiday novel perfect for readers who do not want to commit a lot of time or effort into reading a long-winded romance story during the busy Christmas season. With an engaging plot and vibrant characters, All I Want Is You moves ahead at a steady clip, not mincing words as it details the origin of Jessica and Nick’s relationship and how they find themselves where they are today.

I really enjoyed Nick as the male lead, and found his thoughts about Jessica and their former relationship to be heartfelt and insightful. While Jessica could be a bitter pill to swallow at times, I still enjoyed her parts of the book, and put together, I found both her and Nick’s POVs to gel well to tell the tale of a relationship gone wrong.

Readers who have survived a bad break-up or those who have ever dreamt of giving the one who got away a second chance will enjoy this Christmas-lite novel.

Although I thought this was a cute and sweet quick Christmas romance, the miscommunication trope went way too far imo and made it unrealistic.

All I Want Is You bring holiday charm to a second chance romance between two estranged authors forced to share a space - and a bed - during a winter retreat. With a shared history and unresolved feelings, they must confront their past and decide if their story deserves a new chapter.

This was such a quick and fun holiday read! I'm a sucker for a second chance romance, and I loved that the plot revolved around romance books, with both main characters being authors. The dual POV worked well for me - I especially enjoyed getting side Nick's head, even though I understand why some might prefer a single POV. Highly recommend this one, and Falon Ballard is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me!

3.5⭐
Cute holiday second chance story. Story is entertaining while evoking the joys of the season with cozy lodge, peppermint mochas, ice skating at Rockefeller Center and getting snowed in. It's the equivalent of a Hallmark movie where everything is surface level and you don't risk having your heart ripped out.

SUCH A CUTE second chance, close proximity, only one bed, enemies to lovers, christmas time, workplace romance!! Two rival authors, who also happen to be ex-lovers get snowed in at a hotel after their publisher's Holiday party. Not only do they have to talk for the first time in years, they have to share a room, and co-write a new book together. Easy, right?

very cute story and I loved the characters. Even while being jampacked with tropes, the story managed not to feel far-fetched.

I must really be in my second chance era because
This book was so meta. 2 authors stuck together in a holiday romance writing about 2 authors stuck together in a holiday romance. It was a typical Fallon story with beautiful words, ultimate cozy factor, and a deep love story. I think it's wild that she had so much depth in less than 300 pages which is what a holiday book should be. It was so good.

After adoring Right On Cue earlier this year, I was so excited to read Falon Ballard's holiday second-chance romance, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Filled with incredible banter and hilarious moments of irony and shenanigans, I had so much fun reading this cosy holiday book.

I loved the dual POV following Nick and Jess while they're snowed in together at a festive inn right before the holidays. I loved Jess's infatuation with Christmas and how excited she got over all the decor and winter whimsy. I looked forward to the chapters with Nick because of how totally in love with Jess he was. Books where the male main character falls first are always my fave.

This book was perfect for getting in the holiday mood with a snowstorm, holiday shenanigans, and plenty of peppermint mocha! I had so much fun getting to know Nick and Jess through their steamy chemistry and silly arguments. Their whirlwind second-chance romance started my holiday reading season off with a bang!

Five out of five stars.
