Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is the perfect cozy fall read, especially for fans of Gilmore Girls. Set in the charming village of Briar Glen, the story follows 16-year-old Lucy Kane, who works at her mom's coffee shop, Cup o' Jo. As autumn arrives and tourists flock to town, Lucy's life takes a turn when a large coffee chain, Java Junction, opens across the street. To make matters more complicated, the new kid in town, Jack Harper, turns out to be the son of Java Junction’s owner—and also Lucy's secret crush.
This book is a sweet, light romance with a strong emphasis on character growth. Lucy initially frustrated me with her serious attitude and sense of responsibility, but it was rewarding to see her learn to embrace being a teenager. Jack, with his carefree, "golden retriever" energy, was a great balance to Lucy’s seriousness, and their interactions were so fun to read. The book also touches on the dynamics between Lucy and her mom, which adds a nice layer to the story.
Overall, Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is a charming, easy-to-read book that's perfect for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a cozy fall romance with a touch of family drama. Highly recommended for a relaxing read!

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice by Katie Cicatelli-Kuc is like a warm fall hug. Anna’s journey through baking, love, and self-discovery feels messy, sweet, and totally relatable. The vivid writing practically makes you smell the pumpkin spice, and while some parts are predictable, it’s the kind of cozy, feel-good story you’ll want to curl up with. Perfect for anyone craving a little autumn magic!

The book is a cute read, for fans of Gilmore Girls, and hallmark movies, and coffee lovers! It's a perfect autumn read! 🍂

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice by Katie Cicatelli-Kuc is a charming young adult romance set in the quaint New England village of Briar Glen. The story follows sixteen-year-old Lucy Kane, who works at her mom's coffee shop, Cup o' Jo, during the fall season when tourists flock to the town for its picturesque scenery and pumpkin spice lattes. The book beautifully captures the cozy, autumnal vibe of Briar Glen, making you feel like you're right there with Lucy, sipping a warm drink and enjoying the colorful leaves. Lucy's disdain for pumpkin spice lattes, despite working at a coffee shop that serves them, is both relatable and humorous. Her journey to find a better recipe adds a fun and engaging element to the story. The budding romance between Lucy and Jack Harper, the new kid in school and son of a rival coffee shop owner, is heartwarming and adds a lovely touch to the narrative.
While Lucy is a likable protagonist, some of the secondary characters could be fleshed out more to add depth to the story. The pacing feels a bit slow at times, especially in the middle sections of the book. A bit more action or conflict could help keep the momentum going.
Overall the books is a cute read, perfect for fans of cozy, small-town romances. It's a light, feel-good story that will have you dreaming of autumn all year long. If you're looking for a charming, easy read to curl up with, this book is a great choice.

Cute seasonal rom com - quaint small town, rival coffee shops, and obsession with pumpkin spice lattes. Quick and light read, fun for pumpkin season.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is a Spooky Season YA Book. I thought it was age appropriate and great for a YA audience. I, personally, thought it was pretty cute too. It definitely has the “Gilmore Girls” Mother / Daughter duo, them against the world. As an adult, it made me sad that Lucy felt like she needed to save her mom’s coffee shop. I loved that it did have the message to enjoy friends, activities, school, you know… LIFE. You only get that freedom once, so take it. But do so responsibly.

This was cute and fit the fall theme. I don’t think it was the book for me, which is fine. Came for the cover and stayed for the vibes.

Book Review: Briar Glen Romance
⭐️⭐️ (2 stars)
I’d recommend this one for younger teens who are after a simple, cozy fall vibe. The story had all the fall settings I love—small-town festivals, pumpkins, baking contests, and Halloween costumes—but it didn’t fully capture the Gilmore Girls-esque charm I’d hoped for. The romance was almost nonexistent, which was disappointing, and Lucy, our main character, was tough to connect with; her “banter” often came off as rude, and she felt immature for a YA lead. This one just fell flat for me. Thank you to NetGalley, Scholastic Press, and Katie Cicatelli-Kuc for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

the perfect fall cozy read for october!!! it really embodies a pumpkin spice latte into a book & just was what i needed

Sorry the book never downloaded. It looks really cute. Wish I could have had a chance to read it. Love the cover.

This cover combined with being compared to Gilmore Girls had me SO excited to read! Lucy was the sweetest main character I loved her relationship with her mom and how they always had each other's backs. The coffee shop setting was so cozy I absolutely loved it! Jack is the perfect love interest and book boyfriend. I loved how he never let their competing coffee shops get in the way of striking a friendship and then relationship with Lucy!

Overall this book is absolute fall perfection!

The dialogue was cringy, and the entire plot was silly and unrealistic. Also, adding real pumpkin to a PSL isn’t a new or novel idea; coffee shops have been doing that for years. So, the playing around with PSL recipes just was really annoying. Worst book I’ve read this year.

Super cute! My preteen daughter is excited to read it too. Nothing like some teen drama, romance, and parental complications.

4.5 ⭐️
I really enjoyed this book! It wasn’t giving “Gilmore Girls” like it had mentioned to those of us that are fans but there are similarities.
- Single Mother : Mother chose to have and raise a child alone
- Mother/daughter duo
- Small town with all the fall vibes
- Oh and the mom owns a coffee shop and the daughter works there!! Their lives literally revolve around like how Lorelai can’t go without coffee
I can relate to not like PSL anything because again, there is no pumpkin and it tastes like a cup full of artificial flavor lol. However, I do love baking. Definitely during the holiday months/season.
All in all, I recommended this book! This is not an “adult book” so it’ll definitely be fitting to teenagers as the daughter is a teenager herself and it’s from her POV. Great fall book! 🍂🍁☕️

A sweet YA rom-com perfect for autumn! Loved the Gilmore Girls vibes and all of the fun details about the perfect autumn town.

Such a cute cover and title! The execution was just meh. Very basic and not super romantic. More of a YA vibe but I've definitely read YA books that have had a bit more tension.

Thank you to netgalley for the arc of pumpkin spice and everything nice in exchange for my honest review. This book is set in a perfect picturesque town of Briar Glen in the fall. Its a feel good book about a coffee shop owners daughter and her mission to make the perfect pumpkin spice latte. It is a feel good and happily ever after type of light read. Pick this up to settle into some fall weather fun. Four stars.

Not only is this book FILLED to the brim with all things fall and cozy, it also gives off Romeo and Juliet vibes.
Lucy is a high schooler, going through the motions of living in a small town and hides in the crowds until fall festival, her favorite time of the year. That is till Jack moves into town. His family owns one of the largest coffee chains in the country and they open one up right across the street from Lucy’s mom’s coffee shop.
Lucy is furious, and honestly a bit irrational with her reactions towards Jack, a boy who is kind to her, even after she throws pie in his face.

This was my favorite autumn read so far! We’re only in September as I’m writing this review, but man, was this the sweetest thing that could come of fall reads. So, so good!
