I have read several Liane Moriarty books and just love them all. Her writing is wonderful and keeps you interested page after page.

Another five star read from Liane Moriarty. This was so interesting, so well written. Witty with complex characters and great pacing. Very “I NEED to know what happens”.

This was my first Liane Moriarty book. I found the premise of the book intriguing and wanted to know how it would all turn out. The reactions of the people who received predictions and how they dealt with the knowledge were an interesting glimpse into human nature. I enjoyed learning how the stories would turn out.
I also enjoyed getting to know Cherry and how she ended up on the plane. I think her background added depth to the story and I liked seeing how connections tied some people together. I will see out more of her books.
Thank you to NetGalley, Crown Publishing | Crown, and Liane Moriarty for the eARC.

Liane Moriarty is one of my favorite authors, and this book did not disappoint! The book starts with a woman loudly telling fortunes to fellow passengers on a plane. The passengers tried to brush off the sometimes-disturbing fortunes as the ramblings of a crazy person, but when a few begin to come true, people across the country take notice. The book goes back and forth between the characters on the plane and the POV of the fortune teller. Liane Moriarty does a wonderful job of character development, and answers all the questions at the ending. Highly recommend!

An interesting look at what would happen if you "knew" when and how you would die. The storytelling was interesting, interspersing memories and thoughts of the predictor with those of her predictees.

I have mixed feelings with this book. I found myself in the beginning really wanting to get the not just the next chapter but the next sentence. After what felt like a lifetime I finally finished this. I did not enjoy it in the end and really did not enjoy the multiple POV chapters, which I normally love. I didn’t want to read the Cherry chapters and rushed thru them. I have in the past truly loved this authors work but this one just missed the mark for me. Not only do I feel that this was way too long but didn’t all feel put together quite right.

I’ve read many of Liane Moriarty’s books and this one definitely veered from her usual style but it wasn’t for me. I tried really hard to power through but I couldn’t finish it. It is so slow and difficult to get into it. Other people love this book so maybe I missed something but it’s time to move on to something else!

I’m not at all sure how I felt about Here one Moment although I finished it in just a couple of days. I found the premise of the book thought provoking and to be honest, horrifying and sad. Although I guess if Cherry predicted you would die of old age, then all is well. But to be told you would die young is terrifying.
Following some of the victims was interesting while they lived waiting for the predictions.
Mostly though we followed Cherry’s life and how she became who she is.
The premise of the book is great - but for me it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

✨ Book Thoughts ✨
I was hooked from the beginning! An interesting and unique storyline. It further explores if we have the ability to change fate.
During a domestic flight Cherry begin to walk down the isles of the plane and give every passenger their cause of death and when they will. Can you even imagine that? 🤯
Passengers are stunned and obviously shaken up.
We begin to follow some of these characters throughout the book. Will the predictions come true? It’s told from the POV of Cherry and the different characters.
I really enjoyed how the story was told. It was thought provoking and made me contemplate mortality. As cheesy as it is, I felt like this was a reminder to live life to the fullest. I even shed some tears at the end!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Crown for the advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review!

Grabs you from the very first page as you quickly become absorbed in the lives of the characters and wonder, will their lives be as predicted. I love the way the author gave us Cherry’s history in between the story about the airline passengers. The author never lets up on the plot and the ending is very satisfying.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.
I have always loved Liane Moriarty's books and this is no exception! While I felt that the story was a little drawn out in the beginning and nothing was happening, once it hit around 60% I didn't want to put it down anymore. The protagonist was a strange character and for the longest time I could not figure out what her story is and why she is even the protagonist. But the story picks up and comes together after about half way through.
Typically this author's books catch me from the start. This one took awhile to reel me in. I was unsure of what the purpose of the story was supposed to be and where ir was going. Once things became clearer, I quite enjoyed it. 4 🌟 read for me!

I am a fan of Liane Moriarity and felt this book was very different for her.
On this ordinary, short, domestic flight, something extraordinary happens. People learn how and when they are going to die. For six passengers, their predicted deaths are not far away at all.
How do they know this? There were definitely more interesting people on the flight but none would become as famous as "The Death Lady."
Her appearance and demeanor were unremarkable. But what she did on that flight was truly remarkable.
A few months later, one passenger dies exactly as she predicted. Then two more passengers die, again, as she said they would. Soon no one is thinking this is simply a one off.
If you were told you only had a certain amount of time left to live, would you do things differently?

While I don't think I've read a Liane Moriarity book I haven't liked, this one was simply amazing! So thought provoking and contemplative. I loved how the characters back stories were woven throughout their current lives, and how the reader came to know and understand the "villain" if that is what we want to call her. Would a death date prediction cause you to change how you lived your life moving forward? Such an interesting story line and great character and plot development!

I loved this book and would give it a 5+. It explores the question of whether you can change fate. It was suspenseful and sad but also funny and hopeful. I loved the character development. It reminded me to appreciate life.

I literally can not say enough good things about this book. It’s profound and deep and captures what it is like to question your mortality in the face of losing someone. It had moments that made me laugh and moments that made me absolutely sob. It’s a beautiful story that I highly recommend .

This was an interesting premise and a bit different from what I expect from Liane Moriarty. The story jumps around from different POVs and is an interesting character study. It was long...probably about 25% longer than it needed to be. It's not a fast-paced story, but I was interested the entire time.

This one is tough to put down!
On an Australian airline flight, an elderly woman goes into a bit of a trance and walks through the plane, giving each passenger the cause and date of their deaths. Passengers and crew are stunned, and believe she is a bit mad. But then a couple of people do die, at the predicted ages.
Moriarty picks some of the characters to follow, to see if they can change the fate Cherry Lockwood has decreed for them. The Death Lady predicted an infant would drown in his 9th year, a man would die in a workplace accident, and more. The predictions go viral and many who were on the flight begin to get nervous. A Facebook group is formed and passengers eventually track down Cherry Lockwood. Told from alternating points of view (that of Cherry Lockwood and some of those whose deaths she predicted), the reader gets to know both the mathematician/actuary and some of the passengers whose lives were affected by her predictions.
Some of the characters' lives interact in more ways than they expected. Can fate be changed? Read the book to find out!
Recommended for anyone who wants a long and fascinating read.
NOTE: I received an ARC from NetGalley.

I would like to thank the publisher and author for providing an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley.
5 stars.
Wow wow wow! I LOVED this book.
"Here One Moment" follows the story of multiple interconnected characters after a strange flight where a woman, coined "the death lady," predicts each passenger’s age and cause of death. The reader is taken through multiple characters' points of view, including Cherry, aka "the death lady." I loved each character; they were relatable and realistic, and I found myself rooting for all of them to find the answers they needed. When Cherry’s predictions start to become accurate, you are given a riveting story of how the characters attempt to alter their behavior to avoid their fates.
Cherry’s storyline is the one that readers get the most of, but I enjoyed this, as she is a quirky, clever, and intelligent character. The book is riddled with different statistical theories and fallacies that we all tend to believe, so you may learn something as well—I did!

A unique storyline with a little creepiness. I enjoyed this book but was a little uncomfortable reading it. It was like being a voyeur in people’s lives. I think it was also a little unsettling to read because of my age and my feeling of getting older and time getting shorter. I would be reluctant to recommend this to patrons that I really don’t know. It may hit too close to home for some.

Can you imagine learning the day and cause of your death? I'm not sure I'd want to know but maybe it would make us cherish each minute? I enjoyed getting to know the characters from the flight and beyond. I actually want to know how they're doing now! This was a great book. I highly recommend it. #Fiction #Library #Bookshelf #Bookreview #Booklover #booksofinstagram #Reader#Books #ARC #NetGalley #SummerReading #BeachRead #HereOneMoment #LianeMoriarty
