A candid guide for aspiring entrepreneurs, blending personal anecdotes with practical advice. Drawing from his experience running Tiki’s Playhouse, Abrams explores the sacrifices, resilience, and creativity required for success. The book covers mindset, financial planning, and adapting to change, with exercises to engage readers. While light on technical details, its strength lies in its authenticity, motivational tone, and emphasis on learning from failure. Abrams’ story inspires readers to embrace discomfort, making this an invaluable resource for those starting their entrepreneurial journey.

This book tells it how it is. Mixed with tough love and honestly this is exactly what everyone who is considering being an entrepreneur needs to hear. Whilst giving you a realistic view of what it’ll be like to be an entrepreneur. It also has all the information one needs to succeed. It also gives a recap of everything important thing at the end of the book to look back on and quickly find the needed information you might need. This was a well written, fast read that I think anyone who is thinking about being an entrepreneur should read at least once.

Hallelujah!!! At last a book that tells the hard truths about what it takes to be an entrepreneur. There are so many apparent ‘get rich quick’ schemes out there… this book debunks the myths and talks about what it REALLY takes to run your own business. A great resource for those who think they might want to be their own boss… read this before you hand in your notice and you’ll have a far clearer view about what you’re getting into. There are some American references in terms of support available, etc, however, the messages included are global truths. GetUncomfortableorChangeCourse #NetGalley
