A Vampire's Christmas Carol by Cynthia Eden is a wonderful spin on the classic!! Ben Prescott, vampire, is headed down a dark path. A path that, if he doesn't change his ways, will lead to a sinister and tragic end. As such, he's visited by three different paranormal beings from various times in his life. The three have one goal: Convince the vampire to change his course so as to avoid what may be a turn from which he can never come back.

I really liked the demon (past), the ghost (present), and the shifter (future) characters used to show Ben the three time periods in his life. They have all encountered Ben at some point after he was violently changed into a vampire. The storyline each character presents to Ben reinforces how he came to be, what his actions do in the present, and what they all boil down to in the future - if he doesn't straighten up and fly right.

This is my first experience with Cynthia Eden's storytelling and I'm certainly going to continue to read her books. Her writing style is smooth and conversational. There is definitely small amounts of character development and world building to put the story into perspective. I was able to visualize all three magical locations as well as real time as the author's descriptions are nicely done. I actually have a couple other books of hers in my Kindle and will attempt to get to them soon.
