Witty in pink is an enemies to lovers and rom-com set in the Regency period, perfect for lovers of Pride and Prejudice, The Bridgertons and Little Women.
This book stars Blythe and Briggs. Blythe is a girl ahead of her time and her love for bees leads her to have a business vision and wants to start in the world of beekeeping, together with her cousin Julian, in order to dedicate herself to what she likes most and help her family in their needs with money. And Briggs has returned after a long time to find a way to pay off the debts left by his father after his death. Without time to mourn him, he has to find a woman of good standing to marry and thus use the wedding dowry and not lose his house and land, a very important place for him, his mother and his brother. Briggs needs to conquer a girl, Blythe needs investors for her beekeeping business, what better than two people who need something and can help each other? All well and good if it weren't for the fact that Blythe and Briggs have had a bad relationship since they were children.
I loved this story from beginning to end, so much so that it had me hooked and at times I couldn't (or didn't want to) stop reading. Its strong points are its characters, they have a lot of charisma and their interactions when they get together are unbeatable, they leave you with a silly smile on your face, with a loud laugh or with tears of emotion. I also loved that the chapters are short and have a double point of view, something that makes reading more enjoyable. I loved being able to get to know each character and their evolution, as people and their feelings, in each chapter and in first person. You can see how with each day they spend together the relationship of the main characters becomes closer, putting aside those quarrels that separated them.
In addition to the protagonists, I loved Julian as a character. I love that mischief he has and shows, and at the same time how protective he is of his cousin Blythe. Of the secondary characters, he is my favorite without a doubt.
As I said at the beginning, it is a perfect book for fans of Little Women, because of how brave and enterprising Blythe is (she reminds me a lot of Joe), of Pride and Prejudice, because of that love/hate relationship that the protagonists have in the style of Elizabeth and Darcy (but younger), and of the Bridgertons, because of the time in which it is set, the dances, the romances, the rumors and the characters who are not what they seem. I highly recommend Witty in Pink and I hope that some Spanish publisher gives it a chance, it is very worthwhile.
*Many thanks to the publisher for sending the advanced digital copy in exchange for my most sincere opinion*

This was a really cute and fun enemies to lovers historical fiction story. I really appreciated the feminist ideals woven in as well as the bee appreciation! The romance is really enjoyable to read, for both the main and side characters. Overall, a super light and frothy story, perfect for summer!

Wow! This is my first regency novel I have read before and I was hooked. I read Witty in Pink in less than 24 hours because I simply could not put it down! The writing flowed so well and the story was so paced. I love the evolution of Briggs and Blythe’s tumultuous relationship. Blythe is a spunky, independent young lady not entirely interested in marriage of necessity but would rather find success in her entrepreneurial ventures. Meanwhile Briggs, her childhood nemesis turned crush turned nemesis, is trying to find a way to save the estate he loves after his late father left them in dire straits. Blythe and Briggs join an alliance to help one another that ultimately does not pan out as they originally expected. I am grateful to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this swoon worthy story in advance of the publication.

I love this book so much! Such a fun and sweet YA regency romance! The setting, vibes, and banter were top notch. I absolutely adored both Blythe and Briggs and their story was just perfect! If you like the balls and boxing matches if Bridgerton, this one is for you.

Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Teen for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
"Witty in Pink" by Erica George is a delightful regency romance that sparkles with wit, charm, and heart. If you’re a fan of “Bridgerton,” then you would definitely enjoy this book. I would actually recommend this book to newcomers of the regency romance genre as I think this is a good introductory story to introduce you to the elements of regency romance with some of the classic romance troupes we all know and love.
Set in the regency era, the book follows the story of Blythe and Briggs, childhood friends turned arch-nemeses. When circumstances force them to set aside their differences and work together, their dynamic shifts from animosity to reluctant cooperation, sparking a journey filled with romance, humor, and unexpected twists. This book includes more modern language, which, again, makes it a great introductory book for those interested in regency romance, but for those wanting more of an authentic regency focus, then this book may not be right for you.
What I enjoyed the most in this book was the well-written banter and frenemies vibes between the main characters, highlighting the tension, chemistry, and angst that permeate their interactions. Blythe, a nature enthusiast with dreams of starting her own apiary, and Briggs, an heir to an elite family facing financial ruin, must navigate their complicated relationship while navigating society's expectations and their own personal ambitions. To have a compelling romance, there needs to be a connection between the characters, and there is no denying the chemistry between these two. I was immediately shipping them together as soon as they were introduced in the book. As their relationship deepens and they confront their feelings for each other, you are treated to a swoon-worthy tale of love, betrayal, and redemption.
Even though this is a romance book, there actually weren’t too many romantic moments between the leads; there was more of a focus on the plot itself. While I did appreciate the plot development, which kept the story interesting and engaging throughout, I did still want just a few more romantic moments. If there ends up being a sequel or another book set in the same universe, then I really hope for more sweet moments between Blythe and Briggs. While the book can be a bit cliché and predictable, I still really enjoyed the story, and I would definitely read more from the author.
Overall, Whether you're a fan of regency romance or looking for a fun and light-hearted read, this book promises to deliver a charming and entertaining experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this book to be kept in middle/high school libraries for those wanting a bit more “safe” regency romance for younger readers to explore.

In the break between part one and part two of Bridgerton’s third season, this historical romance was the perfect read to fill the time. The setting of high society gossip and scandal was exactly what I was looking for.

Witty in pink is a fun historical romance with enemies to friends and funny banter. Love all the sly remarks Blythe shot back with and I love the Blythe didn't want to marry for money but build her own business. Definitely gave bridgerton vibes
Thanks entangled for the arc ❤️ it was my first and it's exciting to be apart of!!!

What is better than enemies to lovers? Enemies who prank each other before they become lovers. It’s because it starts when they’re kids and he’s an immature boy whose emotional maturity is to tease the girl he likes. It leaves her confused and hurt despite her previous crush, but she’s strong willed enough to give it right back to him. He’s been crushing too but subconsciously unaware.
Then he enlists her to play matchmaker for him but she accidentally falls for him in the process. Is that a trope? If not, it should be.
It’s hard to find a good YA regency romance. This is like Bridgerton for teens.
The humor is witty earning the title. The characters are 3 dimensional and modern minded in a misogynistic time.
She’s not a shiny, quiet, proper lady. She’s an outspoken, opinionated girl with a blossoming beekeeping business who can make her own money and put boys in their place.
He’s disappointed with the financial mess his late father left him and trying to do the right thing for his family and estate while being torn by the need to be respectful of his late father’s memory, falling in love with someone who will not be able to help him resolve his financial problems, etc.
They have personal and societal barriers to conquer before they can have their HEA. But they get there and, it’s a slow burn, but worth it.

I loved the story, the world building and meeting the different characters. I felt completely immersed in the story and couldn't stop reading it.

I absolutely adored the setting of this Bridgerton era.
This was an enemies to lovers, slow burn with a strong female character lead.
Blythe: the keeper of the bees. She doesn’t want to just be a wife she wants her own apiary business and has a solid plan to get it. But in order to do so she must strike a deal with the boy her embarrassed her greatly long ago, Briggs.
Briggs: Newly head of the estate, trying to pick up the pieces his late father left him to deal with. He strikes a deal to help fix the situation but ultimately he needs to decide to marry for love or duty.
Again, this story was an adorable, no pun intended, witty romance. I just need a little more character building on Sabrina Dixon. It’s like she does a complete 180 out of nowhere.
I was granted this ARC by Entangled Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

What an absolute delight. Blythe and Briggs are true enemies from childhood and then one day years later they run into each other and see how much they’ve truly changed. The fun starts when these two enter into a business proposal to help Blythe start her bee business - in the time where women were not owning businesses - and in exchange Briggs needs help wooing a wife with a large dowry to keep his families estate that his father gambled away. Family and friends round out a fun group of characters that have to deal with these two and their denial of feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed this historical romance that has more modern aspects to it. It’s marketed as a YA/teen book but it doesn’t feel immature - it’s a great book for teens and adults alike.

This book was such a fun read and if you enjoy Bridgerton or the regency era I think it will be a hit for you. I really enjoyed watching the characters relationship form, both developing feelings and thinking it was unrequited. Not to mention the witty banter that had me hooked.

All the pleasure of reading Jane Austen and watching your favorite rom com combined, WITTY IN PINK is a total joy.
Told from the POV of Blythe and Briggs, childhood acquaintances who taunt each other as signs of love develop, both characters more than hold their own in Erica George's wonderfully crafted and delightfully written book that takes readers to the 19th Century English countryside. Blythe is an aspiring businesswoman struggling against social norms and Briggs is a charming heir with a secret.
Readers will love this do they/don't they, will they/won't they story.
Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for an ARC.

Witty in Pink is the perfect book for Bridgerton fans! Enjoy this fun-filled romp through a regency frenemies to lovers rom-com between strong, independent Blythe who is trying to start her own business and Briggs, the cavalier, young man, who has family secrets he doesn't want known. Will they, won't they? It seems they are destined to be apart, but the attraction keeps drawing them together. Enjoy this book on a sun-filled beach or by the pool with an iced cold glass of your favorite beverage...with a little honey added in!

Thank you for the Arc!
I enjoyed this quick YA Historical Romance. It got me out of a reading slump.
Friends/Enemies to Lovers
Matchmaking
Bantering
Bees 🐝
I enjoyed Blythe and Briggs story and wouldn't mind if she wrote a story about the lovable side characters.

This was such a cute read. Entangled never disappoints. Thank you guys so much for sending me an eARC.

Thank you so much to entangled teen, NetGalley and of course the lovely Brittany.
I got so excited to receive this arc.
It’s like frenimies to lovers.
Childhood banter and grudge.
He falls first? I think that’s up for debate on my part lol
I felt like a mixture of Mr. Darcy and Miss Elizabeth and Colin Penelope. Which I loved.
This gave all the right feelings.
Made me laugh, the anticipation (reading ahead when I shouldn’t just to find the answer lol)
Made me cry.
I love how it ended, △⃒⃘Lways bantering.
It just gave me all the giddy feelings.
Loved it every second of it.

If you are a fan of regency era settings, I recommend you pick this one up. It focuses more on those individuals that live outside the ton and gives a slightly different perspective than binging Bridgerton. You should know going into this that it is a romance novel, and that the plot very much revolves around that and the experiences of those characters. That being said, the characters are highly intriguing and even the secondary characters are well-developed. I liked Blythe’s independent and business natured mindset, even if she could also be insufferable at times. The romance was nicely done as characters skirted around one another. Historically speaking, I’m not exactly sure how accurate this is as a representation of the time period. It felt like there were several times where things didn’t historically make sense. If that’s not something that you would get bothered by though, it is worth the read for the entertaining story.

Oh so witty and wonderful, WITTY IN PINK is sheer delight! I loved this Regency romance for its warmth, its humor, and its heart. While WITTY IN PINK firmly sits in the tradition of true slow-burn romance, George effortlessly leads us into a world that also feels somehow very contemporary, and of the moment. Full of wit, and humor, I completely fell into Blythe and Briggs' world and was very sad to leave it. But, like a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer's day, the ending was so perfect, and hit in all the best ways so I won't complain.
Thank you to Entangled and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this perfect love story.

I was looking for a swoony regency romance to help me pass the time between Bridgerton seasons, and Witty in Pink was just what I needed.
Witty in Pink follows the story of our two main characters, Blythe and Briggs, childhood friends who haven’t spoken to each other in years after a prank gone awry. Now, years later, they’re reacquainted again, deciding to set their differences aside and help each other get what they want this season: Briggs to marry a rich heiress and Blythe to start her apiary.
To be completely honest, this book didn’t buy me from the start. I didn’t love the use of modern language in a regency setting and found the first few chapters so slow that it almost got me into a reading slump. But as soon as the romance started to take off, I was hooked. I loved watching a relationship develop between our main characters, and both of them pining for the other, thinking their love is unrequited. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this story and how much of it I read in a single setting.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
