Okay I loved this one, even if it's slightly bully romance in a historical setting. I love both the main characters and their motivations to take care of their families. I do think people who don't like the miscommunication trope will not like this book, because a lot of it was miscommunication/or more like lack of communication. There's a lot of withholding of explanations behind motivations. However, I really do like the pinning from the main male character. I do not like the subplot of the "rich heiress" and his boxing coach being displaced lovers, because even if it was a cute ending it was not that great for the plot. I did really enjoy the ending. Overall I really enjoyed this book and thought it was well done.

Witty in Pink is a delightful YA/crossover historical romcom that will delight fans of regency romance. Blythe and Briggs are longtime friends whose relationship soured from a teenage prank that Briggs pulled on Blythe. But when they come back into each others orbits, the sparks fly, yet obstacles stand in their way, from misunderstandings to their respective financial straits. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter, the will-they/won't they dynamic, and the overall swooniness and fun of the story. I highly recommend it!

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
To be honest, I didn't realize this was a YA novel, which I don't always relate to, but I enjoyed this. I like the punny play on the title.

I absolutely loved this book! The story was super cute and I adored all of the witty banter between Blythe and Briggs.
I loved how passionate Blythe was. She knew what she wanted and didn't let anything get in her way of fulfilling her dreams. And Briggs was so complex. I thoroughly enjoyed his journey of self discovery.
This book had an amazing slow burn with some delicious tension. And so much more, the whole story was wonderful!
If you're looking for a book with humor and heart then this is for you, I highly recommend it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.

"Witty in Pink" is a Bridgerton meets Gossip Girl and I love it! This delightful YA romance will captivate you with well-rounded characters, quick-witted banter, and crackling chemistry between the main character Blythe and the handsome Briggs. Their interactions are filled with palpable tension and moments of real vulnerability. I like the fact that Blythe is a female character with true agency--her character does not exist as a reflection of her love interest, she is her own person. Her struggle to forge her own path in the world while being restricted by societal norms will speak to young readers with goals and dreams of their own. You will feel the energy and growing love between Blythe and Briggs--it is addicting and I couldn't put this book down! The peripheral characters are equally intriguing, there are a subplots with friends of Blythe and Briggs that add intrigue to the story and give the reader a diverse array of characters to root for! Romance fans of all ages will adore this book--I pre-ordered copies for my teenage niece and a couple of friends too. "Witty in Pink" is a must-read!

I like this concept. It is like bridgerton but more fun. Fast and easy read so I enjoyed it, but it was missing something. 2.5

Regency era romance, enemies to lovers, I am in. Blythe has known Briggs her whole life and have always endeavored to one-up the other in various pranks, until it all came to a stop 4 years prior with a prank that left her humiliated. She had intentionally not seen him for four years, but now they need each other's help. Can they work through their differences to help him secure a bride with a hefty dowry and help her secure investors for her apiary business? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Their banter, the story, all of it. Even the side characters were engaging and I would have loved to see where some of them ended up as well.

Fun , hilarious retelling, love the main character and their personality to bits. Had a blast through this book.

“Witty in Pink” is the perfect love story for those needing a dose of Bridgerton-esque regency! I really enjoyed this story. The main characters, the side characters, the highlighted romance as well as the side-plots were all delightful! The characters were relatable, despite the historical setting. It was great seeing how their character growth brought them together!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Loved this book! Perfect read for fans of Bridgerton but with no spice! I loved the set up of the characters and their past. I loved how their relationship developed and how everything played out. It was refreshing to not have any problematic conflict or lack of communication. I felt like the characters love for each other was so real!!

Bridgerton regency vibes all day long. It was a very cute YA historical romance. The chemistry for the characters was amazing! I fell in love with the side characters and their romances just as much as the main characters. The banter and playfulness that they all have is just so truly great! I appreciated that it was written in modern English, I love historical romance but struggle when it is written with time period language and dialects, just makes it harder to follow and stay focused on the story. Thank you entangled publishing for the wonderful opportunity to read this as an ARC.

This book was a delight!
The relationship between the two main characters, Blythe and Briggs, was full of delightful bickering, witty banter, and romantic tension.
It was easy to get lost in the book, and the writing was intelligent and funny. The characters were likeable and decently well developed. That said, the pacing was off at times, within chapters, and I felt that scenes could have been extended and detail added to provide greater depth.
Overall, an eminently readable and entertaining historical romance!

Another great read from Erica George that hooked me immediately. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at the author (sorry!). I loved reading such a strong female character who had her own passions outside of a relationship and she didn’t give up on pursuing them. Great message for young readers. Looking forward to adding it to my classroom library. I need to know more about Blythe’s journey—sequel please!

This has all the Pride & Prejudice meets Bridgerton vibes! I really loved Blythe and Briggs! I am a fan of any book with quick witty banter and this was no exception. It really took off me after the 30% mark, I think it started out a little slow but this was such a cute story. I was rushing at one point bc I was so stressed for Blythe and Briggs. I absolutely love it when the MMC is in love and finally confides in a friend only for the friend to be like that’s so obvious.
This read more like a closed door historical romance than an YA historical romance but I don’t mind. I did not like or understand Sabrina’s character, I felt like she went from quiet girl who was taught to be silent/invisible (a product of the time period) to a mean girl to a bully to a possible friend to a girl in need of help way too many times and it was so hard to figure her out. I know characters are supposed to be many things and grow and develop through the book but her character was all over the place.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Teen for this gifted arc!

I love this book so much! I finished it 3 weeks ago now and still can’t stop thinking about it! The chemistry hits from the first chapter, the events are fun and interesting and the ending was everything I could have ever wanted. It was so well done. I’m sad it’s over and can’t wait to reread it!

I had so much fun reading this book. I love me some historical romance and this hit all the boxes.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for a chance to read this eARC.

"Witty in Pink" is a YA Regency-era rom-com with plot and characters similar to "Pride and Prejudice" and the "Bridgerton" series. As a fan of Regency-set romances, I was very excited to read this after reading the synopsis (plus the cover is absolutely gorgeous). While I enjoyed the overall premise of this book and the enemies-to-lovers trope line, it just didn't hit as well as I was hoping for. I found the book to be a little long and slow-paced: there seemed to be a lot of filler scenes/chapters, the dialogue wasn't very enticing/engaging, and the story just took place over a long period of time. I enjoyed the romance between Blythe and Briggs, but I wish the banter and dialogue between them was more engaging and more banter-y.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book because regency or Victorian historical fiction isn’t necessarily my thing, but I absolutely loved this book! It was so cute!!!
Both Briggs and Blythe were likable characters and I enjoyed following both of their perspectives. Their chemistry was absolutely sizzling, but this is a clean romance with nothing beyond kissing. There was so much that was conveyed through pining, gazing, longing, and plenty of witty banter.
I loved how Blythe wanted to make a little business out of her love of bees, and I loved seeing her interact with the bees in their apiaries. I also loved Briggs’ relationship with his brother August (who I LOVED!) and he needs his own story!
I honestly could not put this down. I loved every interaction between the two of them.
This was just a big bundle of cuteness that left me with a big smile on my face.

This book is adorable. The banter is too notch and the slow burn is excellent.
Perfect for the teen reader in search of a little more P&P.

3.5 stars
This book was a slog. What should have been a quick, fun read took me weeks. Mostly because I really didn't care for the hero. "Briggs Goswick" (almost always 2 named. Rarely just Briggs, or Goswick, or Lord Goswick or whatever his title was, as is common in regencies. It was frankly, an offsetting verbal tic, but I digress)
Briggs was really clueless and juvenile and I have no idea what the heroine saw in him. (I guess he was pretty?)
Blythe, the heroine was alright. Your typical forward thinking for her time girl, this time with bees! (Anthony Bridgerton would be appalled.) She was alright, but nothing spectacular enough to make up for her dud of a beau.
Also, for a regency, this book had a weirdly modern feel. I can't quite put my finger on why, but something about the writing didn't have quite the right "historic" tone.
