This book was such a breath of fresh air! It was great to see two MC’s communicate directly with each other in a healthy way. The two leads faced obstacles but worked through them together openly, avoiding the typical pinch points often found in contemporary romance.

Both of the MC’s were highly likable and interesting in their own rights. The author created powerful back stories for both women that really helped drive their motivations and added real development to both characters. Both Katie and Wil were intelligent, talented, and determined to find their own voices, while still remaining grounded with each other.

My only issue was that the book felt long in some places. Some of the scenes and conversations dragged on and could’ve benefited from a bit more editing. However, I would still definitely recommend this book to my patrons.
