This was my favorite book out of the Graves Glen universe. My favorite character was Tamslyn. She is a strong female lead and I found the tension and banter between her and Bowen to be perfect!

I wish I could've liked this book more. I enjoyed all of the characters, and I understood the premise she was going for. However like a lot of trilogies it seems to just kind of fall apart with a bit of a weak plot, and a weaker solution. I am still giving this about a 3 1/2 stars because I enjoyed the main characters. Period they were sexy, fun, and relatable most importantly.

You honestly can’t go wrong with this series! i’m sad we have run out of brothers lol I will say that the second book remains my favorite but i still really enjoyed this story. I loved the yule setting and the 1950s aesthetic transported me to a different world.

I think this might be my least favorite of the series but I still really enjoyed it!! I hope we get more witchy reads by Sterling.

The Wedding Witch is the 3rd book in the Graves Glen series and though it was release in December as Xmas read I thought, I think it’s more Halloweeney. If you have read the previous books then you are familiar with grumpy, introverted Bowen and hilariously quirky Tamsyn. But worry not if this is your first read of the series as this is a standalone book. Tamsyn is a human who does not wield magic but is aware of its existence and runs her little business acquiring magical objects. Bowen is a powerful witch attempting to break a past friend’s curse in this meet up at a Yuletide wedding in a castle with our little con woman. Unfortunately, all the digging around lands them both back in time and they will have to corroborate to get themselves back to their time. I found the book funny and cute like the characters but feel it could have been a bit more fleshed out. We don’t really understand why Bowen is truly motivated to learn of the how to break the curse and who he is really helping as there's not a lot of flash backs of the friend and why they are close, but as previous cast of characters pop up, so you sort of smile and continue reading on. Some of the magical moments are a bit cheesy for my taste this time around and I wanted a little bit more zing between these two thus I didn’t give it 5 stars. Other than that it was a great addition to the series and a look into the lives of beloved characters while giving the last brother his HEA. I received an ARC copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am happily leaving this review.

The Wedding Witch has such a fun premise—magic, weddings, and a touch of romance? Yes, please. Eri Sterling brings a whimsical vibe that’s easy to fall into, and the setting feels charming and cozy, like a magical rom-com with potential.
That said, while the concept is super cute, the execution didn’t totally land for me. The pacing felt uneven—some parts dragged, while others felt rushed. The characters were likable enough, but I didn’t feel super connected to them or their relationships. I wanted a bit more emotional depth or tension to really hook me.
Still, it’s a light and sweet read, perfect if you’re in the mood for something low-stakes and magical. Not a favorite, but not a flop either—just somewhere in the middle.
If you love witchy vibes and rom-com fluff, you might enjoy it more than I did!

I thought this was really cute. I LOVED the MCs. I haven't read the first 2 books in this series. I followed this installment with ease, no issues at all. I'm sure I missed out on Easter eggs that relate to books 1&2, but I don't know what I don't know. I had a good time.

Not as good as the other two titles in the series but a fun read, especially between the fall and winter holidays.

Loved this book! Loved being back with familiar characters. Fun read. Thinking Halloween but actually christmassy.

After the first two books, this one fell short. The premise was rather clumsy compared to its predecessors, and it didn’t quite have the romance or the emotional depth of the prior two. Still, it was a rather fun Christmas romp after the Halloween vibes, so I wouldn’t pass it up.

I seriously cannot express how much I love these books. They are the cutest heartwarming and perfectly spiced paranormal romances mixed with quirky humor. This was one story I had been waiting what felt like an eternity for but my gods it was so worth it. I binged this audiobook in one sitting and could not get enough! I have so much love for this couple, and of course the one bed trope was perfect for them.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. It took me a bit to get into this one, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I thought the story was a little slow to unfold, but once it did I really enjoyed it.

📚📚📚 Detailed Review:
bowen penhallow, the reclusive and brooding final penhallow brother, is reluctantly dragged (by a ghost, no less) to a yuletide wedding at tywyll house. tamsyn bligh, a non-witch magical artifact dealer with a taste for high-stakes acquisitions, is attending the same wedding in hopes of scoring big enough to retire. when a misfired spell sends them spiralling back to 1957, they find themselves navigating a haunted house, suspicious witches, and the slow burn of undeniable chemistry—all while trying to return to their own time.

in the magical romance genre, this instalment delivers the charm, banter, and cosy seasonal ambience that fans of the ex hex series have come to expect. compared to the first two, the wedding witch leans more heavily into its tropes—some with success, others less so.
bowen is your classic quiet-intellectual-with-a-dark-past, but pleasantly subverted by his dry wit and quiet emotional resonance. tamsyn is flirtatious, chaotic, and morally ambiguous, with no patience for magical red tape—or for bowen’s initial coldness. their flaws often undercut their chemistry, but the tension simmers enough to keep things engaging even when the pacing falters.
what worked: the banter. the spell mishap. the eerie 1950s atmosphere of tywyll house. the classic one bed moment.
what didn’t: the time travel conflict resolves too quickly, and tamsyn’s arc felt flatter than it should’ve.
pacing was a little uneven—slow and compelling in the first half, but emotionally rushed in the second. i liked the ending, but it did feel a bit too tidy, like someone sweeping up after a party you wished had gone on a little longer. it left me feeling a little wistful: like finishing a christmas cookie that was nice… but you know the gingerbread one was better.
that said, sterling nails the warm, lightly humorous tone i crave in a holiday romance. fans of cosy fantasy with light stakes will feel right at home.
Recommendation
if you liked the first two ex hex books, this is a worthwhile read for the festive vibes and finality. the chemistry is fun, the time travel adds a fresh twist, and the 1950s winter setting is just magical enough to carry the shakier moments. best enjoyed with a blanket and hot cocoa.

thank you to erin sterling, avon, and harper voyager | avon and netgalley for the opportunity to provide my honest opinion on this arc.

Bowen and Tamsyn both find themselves at a Yuletide wedding at a grand estate. Bowen at the request of his dead friends ghost and Tamsyn trying to score a majoragical artifact that would set her up for life. After a very powerful magical spell gone wrong, they both find themselves at the Yuletide celebration of 1957. Now they must work together to get back to the present.
This was another perfect witchy, magical book to read in October. Though I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first two, I still thoroughly enjoyed reading about the third Penhallow brother.
Thank you NetGalley for this e-ARC!

Bowen is attending a wedding at Tywyll House along with Tamsyn Bligh. She hopes to obtain one artifact (a priceless magical one) that would set her up for life. When a spell sends them back to 1958, they must face off with witches and hauntings to get back to their time.
Why Kirsten likes it
This charming fantasy was not my favorite of the series, but it was a good story nonetheless. I liked the time-travel element and how it tied into the present-day wedding. It was also nice to hear from quiet Bowen for a change.

So immensely happy to be back in the Graves Glenn universe! I think the Wedding Witch is my favorite of the series. Bowen and Tamsyn have incredible chemistry that had me racing to the next page to see what was going to happen.
The atmosphere, as typical with Erin’s novels, was impeccable. Moody, immersive, cozy and feel good. Thanks to a book slump at the time I did not read the Wedding Witch during the holiday season, it would definitely add to the ambiance of the season but can be read all year long.
Bowen and Tamsyn are my favorite set of characters from the series. The pining and friendship make the romance a little slow but worttttthhhhhh itttttttttt.
I recommend this series to everyone already but stress reading this book.

I will read anything Erin writes.
I loved how this book follows the last penhallow brother. It was a fun and cozy book just the other two books.

the perfect cute little witchy read! i had been waiting for this story and I love this author's writing!

This installment was okay—not my favorite in the series, but still an enjoyable read. It keeps the same light, romantic fantasy tone, but didn’t quite have the same spark as the earlier books.

I was captivated by another wonderful romance from Erin Sterling. The cozy holiday vibes of this series are perfect.
