Thank you to NetGalley, Erin Sterling, and Avon Publishing for allowing me to read this early.

The Wedding Witch is the newest book in the The Ex Hex series and it was such a fun read for the cozy, holiday season. Overall I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a quick read. I will say I went in knowing it was more on the holiday side of things rather than the spooky side like the first two, so if you weren't aware of that be prepared. I didn't mind it but it definitely gave a different vibe because of it.

The romance was a bit of a slow burn, and I do wish that we had more insight to Bowen's feelings because he seemed to fall quickly when it did happen. I would have liked more build up because it felt too fast. Overall the relationship between Bowen and Tamsyn was lovely and the grumpy sunshine trope was perfect!

There were some major plot holes in my opinion which is why I only gave it 4 stars but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

Overall this was a fun, cute, cozy read and I'm so happy I got to read it!

I love the first two books in this series and I was so pleased to see a Christmas book to compete the series! Time travel can be tricky, but this was fun and well-executed. I loved the grumpy/sunshine despite the fact that there were some plot holes and things didn’t feel super well thought out at times. The steam was great and this was pretty short, so it’s a romance win for me!

This was a fun festive read for this time of year. Admittedly I didn't love it as much as the others, but I'm glad I read it.

For all the spooky girls who want a cute and cozy Yule read, this one is perfect. There’s a bit of paranormal, slow burn, but overall, it’s adorable!

Thank you to Netgalley, author, and publisher for the eARC.

Bowen Penhallow is a witch, working on a spell to cure his ghostly best friend Declan, but it’s not going well.

So he employs Tamsyn Bligh, a human Acquiror, to help him obtain the magical objects he needs.

And when Tamsyn takes a freelance job stealing a jewel from a Scottish castle, the last person she expects to run into is her boss Bowen.

He has his own reasons for being there, but they fade into the background when both Bowen and Tamsyn are sent back in time.

Can they find out why they’re there, return to the present-day, and fight their growing attraction?

This book was exactly what I needed: an entertaining, funny, sexy distraction. I’ve read (and loved) Erin Sterling’s previous books The Ex Hex and The Kiss Curse, so I was pretty sure I’d love this one.

And I was right.

The dialogue is sharp, the characters are clever, and the plot is engrossing. This is another winner!

Thanks to @netgalley and @harpercollins for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Check out this book if you want some witchy holiday fun!

I loved the first two Ex Hex books and was excited to take on the third. The story for this book was the most unique and fun of the series. But the chemistry between the two characters was lacking. Their relationship felt rushed and I never found myself rooting for them the way I did for the couples in the last two books

This book was a lot cuter than I thought it would be! It starts off slow but it really picked up. The characters were very cute together and thought they really worked well. I also loved Tamsyn (she’s probably my favorite FMC out of the whole series). She’s funny and witty, and the way she was written, even down to her internal monologues, was so fun and a pleasure to read.

why bother writing a plot when you can just use the "magic finds a way" line to fix everything?

The romance is good and all, but dear god there is NOTHING else.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book!
The Wedding Witch is the first of the Sterling's books that I have read, and even though this was part of a series, I did not find that I lost out on anything by not having read the other books. This book was pure magic from start to finish! Erin Sterling has delivered an enchanting rom-com that blends humor, romance, and a touch of witchy whimsy perfectly. Tamsyn and Bowen's chemistry practically sparks off the page, creating a delightful dynamic that’s both heartwarming and hilariously entertaining. It was totally on me that I somehow missed the fact there was going to be time travel in this, which honestly, was such a fun surprise!

The character development is truly a standout. Tamsyn is witty, independent, and refreshingly down-to-earth despite her magical powers, while Bowen is a charming blend of brooding and vulnerability. Watching these two navigate their relationship feels both realistic and endearing; Sterling allows their connection to grow naturally with believable tension and deeply felt emotions, making their journey from cautious acquaintances to committed partners incredibly satisfying.

As for the spice level – it’s just right! The romance builds beautifully, with just the right amount of tension and steam to make their connection feel genuine without overshadowing the charm and playfulness of the plot. Sterling’s knack for balancing romance with humor and heart shines through, making The Wedding Witch a must-read for anyone who loves a story that’s as magical as it is memorable.

I think this was the series finale of Erin Sterling's witch series. I liked this story because it was a really quick read. I will say, the second one in this series was my favorite of the trilogy. This plot wasn't really my favorite. They did a lot of telling verses showing. So while they knew each other over the course of a year, we didn't see almost any of those interactions. If you want a quick Halloween read and you liked her other books, then check this one out! 3 stars.

Thank you @netgalley , @erinsterlingbooks , and @avonbooks for the arc of The Wedding Witch!

This novel ties in lots of elements that readers may love! We’ve got a love interest between magic and non-magical folks; time travel; Scottish characters and artifact hunting! There’s a trope of colleagues and illicit affair type romance, which is developed well through the plot lines that push them together.

The time travel gives vibes of Outlander meeting Back to the Future. This book has humor, banter, and spice all within a magical, cheery atmosphere. A nice read for the holidays, especially between Halloween and Christmas season!

The Wedding Witch is the third book in The Ex Hex series and focuses on Tamsyn and Bowen. Tamsyn is a procurer of magical items and works for Bowen. When Tamsyn takes another job that promises a payout so large she can retire, she takes it. Things end up going awry when she ends up meeting Bowen at Tywyll House and they get sent back in time.

I thought this book was really fun. It was different in that it was more of a holiday book vs Halloween and fall vibes, but it was still a fun and quick read for me. Bowen and Tamsyn had great chemistry together. My only gripes were that I felt like them going from liking each other to being in love felt really sudden and under developed. I just remember reading it and it was sort of jarring how fast it happened. I also wished we got to know more about Declan and that story.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and would recommend to anyone who wants a quick and lighthearted holiday read.

Thank you Netgalley and Erin Sterling for an e-ARC in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

In "The Wedding Witch," Bowen Penhallow, a solitary practitioner of ancient magic, reluctantly attends a Yuletide wedding at Tywyll House, urged by his ghostly friend Declan. There, he unexpectedly runs into his employee, Tamsyn Bligh, a clever procurer of magical artifacts with dreams of striking it rich.

As Bowen and Tamsyn navigate the enchanting yet perilous world of witches, they unexpectedly find themselves transported to Tywyll House's past during a 1957 celebration. Their quest to return to the present not only reveals the house's haunting secrets but also sparks a budding romance between them.

This captivating tale artfully blends magic, humor, and romance, creating a delightful holiday read that explores love and destiny amid supernatural chaos. "The Wedding Witch" is a charming and festive read.

The was the perfect read to transition from spooky season to the holidays! A witchy Christmas story? Yes please! This one has a chaotic witch as a main character, a human love interest, witty banter, time travel, and a fun holiday setting. This story is a bit bananas with the magic and the time travel, but it was a quick and engaging read. I would have loved to dive deeper into the relationship - I loved their email and text exchanged but it felt like their relationship took a back seat to the time travel once we got to see their in person interactions. I would have enjoyed a bit more development there. Overall, this was a cute book and a great addition to the Graves Glen series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books for the advance copy.

Erin Sterling's Ex Hex series has been a source of good, witchy fun, and this latest installment wasn't any different. It had all the hallmarks of the previous books - shenanigans, humor, a sweet romance - with a little bit of time travel and a good beard for some extra spice. Tamsyn and Bowen made for a cute couple, and I really enjoyed that they didn't waste time realizing they were deeply in love. There's no major conflict there, no third act breakup. All the drama comes from the overarching plot of solving the mystery of why they were sent back in time in the first place. The ending was a little neat after everything, but sometimes, a solidly enjoyable and seasonal read is all you really need.

I loved the first two books in the series, and I loved this book too. Even though as part of a series, it can be right as a standalone. I would not recommend it though, because the whole series is so good! I love that each sister has her own story, and that they all make appearances in each book. I think Book three is my favorite!

This was a cute follow up and a fun time traveling event which was very cute but it fell a little flat for me overall. But I have loved this series as a whole.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a perfect follow-up to the first two in the series. Christmas AND magic?? Can’t be beat. Very fun read!

I'm so sad.. I was pretty underwhelmed by this one. It's the third story of the Graves Glen series, and my least favorite of the three. I think this one just wasn't my cup of tea though, it won't dissuade me from picking up Sterling's next book!

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon, Harper Voyager, and Erin Sterling for this ARC of The Wedding Witch which came out on October 8, 2024!

This is number three in the Ex Hex series and by far the spiciest! It has the same witchy tone as the others and was a fun book overall. I find it easiest to compare to Sabrina the Teenage Witch in a book. Although you can read this stand alone, I would recommend reading the other two prior to this one as a lot of the characters overlap. It's also a little different because it takes place in the Winter versus the Fall like the other two.
