I wish I had read the first two books in this series more recently so I could remember more details of the characters in this world, but from my hazy memory, this was a bit of a departure from those two. For one, it was not in the cute witchy town that I loved. And so, other than the MMC being a brother of the other MMC's, there wasn't much overlap within the series. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.
Other things I wasn't expecting: time travel, ghosts/not ghosts, and watching grandparents get it on. These were some of the problems I had with the book. There was a weird fixation with the MFC on how good looking the grandparents were. The non ghost best friend was a big enough mystery, then time travel was thrown in, so I was confused for way too long. We got a little bit of the relationship developing over email, which was a lot of fun, then it took a sharp departure into the Declan mystery. I thought there wasn't enough build up with the two MC's together before they decided they were in love, even though they didn't tell each other.
The time travel did end up being a neat way of solving the big mystery, so I ended up liking that aspect. And once the MMC and FMC got together I enjoyed their dynamic.
Overall, I would recommend this to readers who like spice, magic, broody & academic MMC's, and holiday vibes. It wasn't a favorite of mine, but it may be worth a read if you really love witchy books and want something set during the winter holidays.

The Wedding Witch, the third in Erin Sterling’s witchy romance series, is a light, fun, and fast read with a cozy Christmas backdrop. Part magical adventure, part insta-love romance, it offers plenty of charm for fans of the genre. While I hadn’t read the previous books, and thus didn’t fully grasp the Penhallow family history, I still enjoyed the witty banter between the leading characters and found their dynamic very cute—though the insta-love element felt a bit rushed for my taste.
The plot had its clunky moments, which detracted from the flow, but overall, it's a nice read for those looking for a whimsical, holiday-themed romance.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an eARC. All opinions shared in this review are my own.
Abridged Goodreads Synopsis: Bowen Penhallow has always been a loner, studying dark and ancient magic on a mountaintop in Wales. But when his friend Declan—who happens to be a ghost—asks him to attend a Yuletide wedding at a grand estate known as Tywyll House, Bowen reluctantly agrees. Tamsyn Bligh is not a witch, but she makes her living off of them. She’s finagled an invite to the Witchy Wedding of the Century in the hopes of finally making a score big enough to retire. Tamsyn isn’t the only one sneaking about in Tywyll House though, and the mix of a very strong spell combined with a wedding mishap transports Bowen and Tamsyn into Tywyll House’s past. As Bowen and Tamsyn work together to get back to the present, they must also face off with the origins of Tywyll House’s haunting, the suspicions of their fellow witches…oh, and the fact that, they might be falling in love.
The third installment of "The Ex Hex" series has finally arrived! "The Ex Hex" and "The Kiss Curse" both gave off cozy fall vibes. "The Wedding Witch" on the other hand seems to focus more on the winter holidays. However, there is still plenty of witchy, spooky vibes to suit whether you read the book in October or December! Now I have to admit, my goldfish memory did not remember Tamsyn (or really anything...) from the last two books. With that being said, I still fully enjoyed this story! So for those asking if you should read the other books first? Probably yes, but I would bet you'd still like this one anyway.
This book was like candy. I enjoyed the love story, the plot, and the pacing. While some may see this book as edging towards "instalove," there is a yearlong background between Bowen and Tamsyn that is alluded to. Instead of having to suffer through the buildup though, Sterling skips right to the good part! Considering this book is meant to be a more fun, light-hearted read, I thought this worked wonderfully. And the banter between these two? OBSESSED. The spicy scenes mixed in was just icing on the cake.
Overall, this was a satisfying addition to the Graves Glen universe. Now that the third Penhallow brother has found love, I am curious if Sterling intends to keep adding books to this series or plans to end it on a high note?

Omg🥵jaja
En fin, 100% recomendado para estas temporadas spooky 🥰

A cozy fun witchy romance!
The Wedding Witch is book #3 in Erin Sterling’s Ex Hex series and follows the third Penhallow brother, Bowen. Bowen is on the hunt for various magical goods in order to right a past wrong and Tamysyn is the delightful human who Bowen hires to help procure these items. The witty banter, emails and texts between these two was one of my favorite parts of the book. Although there is a clear attraction between are two main characters, both try to keep a level of professionalism—until a magical artifact unexpectedly sends them back in time to 1957. The two must work together to figure out how to get back to current day.
I really enjoyed the humor that was sprinkled throughout the books, especially some of the side characters (lots of quirky characters in 1957!). The romance was quick but the two main characters were very endearing and I enjoyed their journey to love!
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon Harper Voyager for sharing the digital advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest feedback.
Witchy romance
Time travel
Only one bed
Grumpy MMC

This was pretty good.
I enjoyed the subtle workplace romance aspect to it, and the pining they had for each other. The time travel bits and the snarky side characters were really great.
I listened to the audiobook and although the welsh accent for Bowen was great, it did make a few things confusing because some of the american characters were read in a welsh accent, and since it's been 2 years since The Kiss Curse, it took me a little while to figure things out.
I will say that The Kiss Curse remains my favorite, but I'm really happy that Bowen got his story.
Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for an e-copy.

Ooooh I really hope this series doesn't end since it's about the 3rd & last Penhallow brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found this series because I love this authors books by another name but I'm glad I did. Love this witchy series & can't wait for more.

I would’ve like to see more plot and character development, there was certainly time. This book is under 300 pages in my version.
Some other reviews mentioned insta love and I get it. But the characters have known each other for some time so I didn’t mind it too much. We could’ve used more interaction, some additional quick scenes with them in the beginning besides the one would’ve been cute. Just to give us more of a sense of the flirty-ness between them.
It was cute, and quick. This is more a winter holiday theme than fall, FYI.
I would recommend if you are looking for something very light and uncomplicated, keep expectations low for nuanced plot or character development.

3.5🌟 This was a cute read! I loved the witchy aspect mixed in with the Christmas aesthetic, and the time travel arc gave me Outlander vibes. I loved the MCs as individuals and couples. I did think some parts bordered on a little too cheesy (the confession scene especially…), but overall I still enjoyed the book and will likely read it again at some point in the future!

There was nothing I actively disliked about this book but also nothing that really drew me to it. The romance was cute but felt a bit underdeveloped. It worked as a spooky season read but did lean more wintry. I do not think this book will stick with me long term but it was fun enough along the way.

The Wedding Witch is a cute holiday-themed paranormal rom com!
Tamsyn and Bowen are thrown back in time while on the search for a magical item that will grant Tamsyn a BIG payoff. On their journey to discover why they are transported to 1957, our two main characters are forced to confront their feelings towards each other. Tamsyn works for Bowen so they have never wanted to cross a line.
This story is low stakes and easy reading. There were times I felt a bit bored, but overall it was a cute story.

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling
Thank you @netgalley and @avonbooks for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This one was a fun and fast read! There’s witches, magic, ghosts, time travel and of course love. It is very entertaining and a perfect cozy witchy read to get me in the mood for the fall and spooky season.
I wish there was more regarding the FMC and the MMC relationship. It was kind of rushed—from meeting each other and then instant love. But I did enjoy it and look forward to reading more from this author.
3.5 stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I was so happy to be back in Graves Glen (and traveling time) this season with Erin Sterling’s latest release. These books are always perfect for fall and I’ve long anticipated Bowen’s story. I loved the two main characters and their banter was so much fun. This was a little spicy with lots of comic relief and a nostalgic glance at past characters as well!

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up. 1.5 🌶️. This was such a cute, witchy romance. It was just as charming and light as the first two books. This would be a good book to segue from Halloween/fall reads to Christmas reads as it is centered around Yule. I really enjoyed the characters together as they tried to solve the mystery of why they were sent back in time. I also thought their email exchanges were super cute. Overall, this was a good conclusion to the Ex Hex Series and Penhallow brothers. This can be read as standalone. If you enjoyed the first two books, I think you’ll enjoy this one too!
Read it you enjoy:
✔️Witchy romance
✔️Dual POV
✔️Forced proximity
✔️Accidental time travel
✔️One bed
Thank you Avon and NetGalley for my arc!

Happy Pub Day! Thank you Erin Sterling, NetGalley & Avon books for this ARC! I have been glued to this series since the first book and could not wait for this one to release. I was so excited when I got the approval!
The Penhallow Brothers have been so fun to follow throughout the series and I was excited to learn more about the elusive Bowen. This was such a fun mix of spooky, yet holiday themed.
I highly recommend everyone to pick up this series and round it out with the Wedding Witch!

I loved this conclusion to the cozy witchy series from Erin Sterling! It was such a slow burn but the tension between Bowen and Tamsyn were well-worth it! I enjoyed this one and as always, I love seeing the callback to the other two couples from this companion series. I am so happy!

Coming into this book, I had some expectations. While I didn’t quite like the plot of The Ex Hex (I did enjoy the romance!) but I thoroughly enjoyed The Kiss Curse overall. So I didn’t have high expectations but I did have expectations.
I want to first say that I appreciate the atmospheric writing of The Wedding Witch, which I think is a strength of the author’s writing. Unfortunately I found it confused what the plot was going for. It was a combination of a fall and Christmas book, which I found to be lacking in both aspects. I enjoyed the romance overall, but I wished it focused much more on it. The Wedding Witch has a focus of both plot and romance but I do think it was more plot-heavy.
Overall while I did enjoy The Wedding Witch, I was expecting a bit more depth.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for providing this electronic advanced copy for review!
I loved the first two books in this series, ‘The Ex Hex’ and ‘The Kiss Curse', and I was excited to return to these characters. Just as the first two books, this third installment was a funny, charming, and magical read.
This book focuses on the third Penhallow witch brother, Bowen, and Tamsyn Blight, the woman he hires to be his magical object dealer. When a spell goes wrong at a wedding they are both attending in the Welsh countryside, Bowen and Tamsyn are sent 50 years into the past and must figure out how to fix the spell and return to the present.
I thought the main characters had great banter and I enjoyed the time travel plot in this one. Though I didn’t enjoy this installment as much as the first two, it was still a fun, cozy read.
(Honestly, my biggest complaint - not enough Sir Purrcival! I missed that silly talking cat.)

4 ⭐️ 1.5 🌶️
This was a fun way to get into the Fall/Holiday spirit. This has magical elements and a bit of Christmas sprinkled in. I enjoyed the dual POVs, even while written in third person. I enjoyed the Scottish touch and could easily visualize the castle and story when traveling back in time.
This has a few spicy scenes but can be skipped and not miss anything important. I enjoyed the time travel element and the growth of the MC’s as individuals and a couple. I really liked Emerald and the grand parents. The twist has a bit easy to guess, but this is a cute easy read and overall really enjoyed it!
This is the third in a series and I was not lost only reading the first one. This is an interconnected series and I really enjoyed all the characters, especially the talking cat 🐈⬛ and the Jones girls. I’m interested to go back and read the second in this series.

Why? Well, it takes place during December, and they have something important to do by the 24th. They celebrate Yule, which is like witchy Christmas, so this is definitely a perfect read for the holidays.
I won’t lie, I’m rounding up because the last 25% had me reading so FAST and the spice scenes were delicious! But, the book was super confusing at first—the world-building was fine, but the intro to the plot and where it was going? I was like, what the heck is happening? You get a lot of loose threads that, yes it's all tied up at the end but super rapid fire.. which is not my style if im honest.
Once you grasp what’s going on, though, it picks up and by that time you'll want to stick around to see what happens at the end!
