Bowen Penhallow, the last of the Penhallow brothers, finally gets his moment to shine! Bowen is most comfortable hiding out in Wales, studying dark magic and keeping to himself. However, a request from a (ghost) friend sends him to Tywyll House to attend a Yuletide wedding. Tamsyn Bligh, recently contracted by Bowen to obtain magical items, will attend this Yule wedding - but not as Bowen's guest. She's taking one last job outside of Bowen's requests, and this request will ensure her safety for the rest of her life. In the days before the wedding, things begin to go awry. The house is haunted, the bride is having cold feet, and suddenly, Bowen and Tamsyn are transported back to 1957. To get back to 2024, they must determine why they were sent there and what needs to happen to fix it. In the meantime, they are falling in love with each other (as one does when time traveling). As Yule draws closer, will the pair be stuck in 1957? And what happens if they don't make it back to the present?
I loooooove this series. However, this one felt a little rushed and not as fleshed out as the previous two. The story has a lot of potential!! After this one, I'm not sure I want a 4th Graves Glen book. My gripes aside, this is a great festive addition to your end-of-2024 reading list. It's just the right amount of fantasy and is a fairly quick read. Plus, it's super cute that now all 3 brothers have found their place - and someone to love. If you are a fan of the previous two books, definitely give this a read!

The final book in The Ex Hex series, this one might have been my fav, because I'm a sucker for a time travel/Back to the Future type scenario. Rom-coms tend to be more character driven than plot driven, but this one I felt was the opposite, and the Yuletide setting of 1957 and insight into the past lives of the now older characters made up for the lack of depth we were given in the main characters.
Bowen, the most reclusive Penhallow brother, has hired the magical artifact acquirer (and very human) Tamsyn Bligh to gather the materials necessary to bring his best friend Declan back from the in between after a spell gone wrong. Ghostly Declan appears to Bowen with a wedding invitation in hand, and asks him to attend the wedding of his former fiancée. Stunned to find Tamsyn at the same wedding, trying to do "one last job" behind Bowen's back, they somehow find themselves transported back to the same estate in 1957 after the reluctant bride tearfully performs a spell over the brooch in question. Back in time, they try to repair Bowen's grandparents broken engagement, solve the mystery of why the brooch holds so much power, and fall in love while pretending to be married. The love story between Bowen and Tamsyn sparked with forced proximity and only one bed, but I was more interested in trying to piece together the past clues with the present. There were definitely some plot holes and motivations that didn't make sense, but the imagery of a grand Welsh countryside estate in full holiday swing felt like something out of a Masterpiece period drama.

If you’ve enjoyed The Ex Hex and The Kiss Curse, you’ll likely also enjoy The Wedding Witch. Like the other two books in this trilogy, The Wedding Witch is cozy and cute, although it’s set around yule time, rather than Halloween. I did miss the town of Graves Glen a little (it only really makes a cameo in this book), but the time travel plot is fun, and Tasmyn and Bowen have good chemistry and make a fun couple. This isn’t exactly a super deep book, but it’s a great choice when you’re looking for witchy vibes and wanting a palette cleansing read or are looking to bust a book slump/hangover.
Thank you to Harper Collins for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

The Wedding Witch was a delightful paranormal romance, featuring a magical time travel adventure and my new favorite protagonists in the Graves Glen series.
Tamsyn, a human, works collecting magical artifacts for witches. Bowen is her occasional customer, and the man of her dreams. Tamsyn, however, has a strict “no getting involved with customers” rule that he makes difficult to keep.
Tamsyn and Bowen are determined to ignore their mutual attraction, but everything changes when they run into each other while Tamsyn is on a potential life changing quest to procure a magical broach, and Bowen is fulfilling his (ghost) friend Duncan’s request to attend a Yuletide wedding.
A spell gone wrong sends Tamsyn and Bowen back to the year 1957 and they must work together to return to the present. Forced into close proximity - including having to pretend to be newlyweds - their feelings become harder to ignore.
Bowen was so soft for Tamsyn and she loved to make him blush. Their attraction, their communication, their banter, was top tier. I loved the way they always spoke honestly and openly with one another. It made their road to a happy ending magical.
The Wedding Witch was the perfect fun, low stakes read to start the spooky season.

I did not realize when I signed up for this ARC that it was the 3rd in a series (oops!) but thankfully, it is able to be read (mostly) as a standalone. I definitely did not feel completely lost during the family scenes.
I loved Bowen - he was the perfect mix of awkward and sexy, and his introverted desire to interact with as few people as possible was something I can 100% relate to! His initial reaction to Tamsyn was absolutely adorable, and I was glad to see that energy carried throughout the book.
The banter was fantastic, the chemistry was smoking, and the mystery was intriguing! My only issue with the book was the ending - nothing was explained! At least, not to my satisfaction! I can only hope to see more of Bowen and Tamsyn in future novels!

Having loved and adored the first two books in the Ex Hex series, I had high expectations going into this third installment...and it just did not live up to that expectation.
It's so sad to me because I adore the world and the characters, and I loved seeing Bowen and Tamsyn together, but there was barely any development. The story didn't have many stakes or tension. It just kind of went by. The last two books had that push and pull with the romance with the added stakes of the magic/witch part of it. And I found myself waiting for the stakes and the push-pull between Bowen and Tamsyn that just never came.
Nevertheless, I think it ended on a really cute note, and it was nice to see the cameos of Vivi, Rhys, Gwyn, and Wells. I just wish there had been more of a story to follow between Bowen and Tamsyn to root for them as they tackle time traveling and their relationship.

This is a cozy wintery, witchy book that offers a warm hugh of a tale. We follow Tamsyn, a human magical artifacts dealer and Bowen, a reclusive magical historian as they time travel fifty years in the past a few days before Yule.
Along their adventures, their feelings for each other spill over and take hold in this heeart warming story. Definitely the perfect recommendation for those that love a little smut, magic and mess. From the present to the past, it's like these characters attract messiness. It's entertaining, blush inducing and at times, heart palputating, but it is such a great read.
Now it only lost a few stars for me because this may not have been my first pick, but I enjoyed the ride. Definitely a witty, witchy ride.

A cute witchy story that’s perfect for a Spooky Month read! Tamsyn has the unique job of tracking down magical objects for witches around the world. When she starts working for Bowen, she never thinks it could turn into an exclusive job, let alone more than that. But, Tamsyn breaks her exclusivity when she gets lured into taking a high-paying job that would more than cover her living expenses for years to come. She breaks into the wedding of a rich magical family and finds herself a guest of the same event as Bowen. In a turn of events, Tamsyn and Bowen find themselves transported back to the 1950s to solve a magical mystery in order to return to their own time. Can they work together and ignore the feelings they’ve developed for one another? Or, will they cease to exist?
Bowen is a kind-hearted, selfless man who finds himself falling for Tamsyn in ways he never thought possible. Tamsyn is the light and positivity that Bowen needs in his life. I absolutely adored them as a couple!
Read this one if you like witchy books, cozy mysteries, romance where he falls first and a little bit of spice!

Rating: 4/5 stars
Bowen hires Tamsyn, an Acquirer of magical goods, to help him find an artifact that can cure his friend’s curse. But when they get sent back in time to a wedding at an ancient Welsh castle, they need to find a way to save themselves in a hurry…and might just admit to some new feelings while they’re there.
I’ve really enjoyed this entire series, and I thought this was a fun and cute installment! I’m a sucker for a Welsh MMC (the endearment “cariad” is my kryptonite) and I LOVED Bowen and Tamsyn so much. Time travel always makes for a fun plot, and I felt like this one had somewhat higher stakes adventure than the last couple, which I enjoyed. I also really liked the supporting cast, and I am ALL FOR any book that doesn’t have a third act breakup—the evolution of Bowen and Tamsyn’s relationship worked so well for me!
Note that this one has more Christmas/Yule holiday vibes than Halloween/fall vibes, which I didn’t realize going in, but did enjoy anyway! It makes for the perfect book to curl up with in front of a fire or a Christmas tree or a Yule log…ancient Welsh castle optional but preferred.
Highly recommend this series for anyone who wants something with cute, spicy, witchy vibes!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
If you're like me, and like to watch Hocus Pocus on the tv while also having your Christmas tree up in October (a la "The Nightmare Before Christmas", this is the perfect book for you. This book is a love letter to both Halloween and Christmas. And I love that sentiment, because the "ber" months are pretty fun. Erin Sterling/Rachel Hawkins brings us the third installment of her "Ex Hex" series and I think due to the blending of Christmas and spooky season this might be my favorite book in the series yet. Since I am a big fan of Back to the Future I also loved the time travel element of the story.
If you love Christmas and Halloween like I do, this book will be the best of both worlds for you, and I can't recommend it enough!!!

I love this series so much and was so excited to read The Wedding Witch! I wasn’t anticipating it to be a Christmas book, but it was so good!
I really loved the storyline in this installment. The time travel aspect was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the different motivations that brought Bowen and Tamsyn to the same wedding weekend. The juxtaposition of the present day, and past Tywyll House was fun to see.
As everything progressed I couldn’t see how everything would wrap up in the end, but I was actually really satisfied by the ending. It was definitely a HEA, and very cute.
The chemistry between Bowen and Tamsyn was so unexpected in the way it progressed so quickly, but I love a good “fuck it” moment, and how quickly they fell for each other was so fun.
I’d really love to get more from Emerald, her story has intrigued me, as well as the Penhallow grandparents! That storyline was a lot to explore and I want to see it.
This was the perfect addition to a series I already loved and I hope there’s more to come!

I love an Erin Sterling book and The Wedding Witch hits the spot. It’s a charming blend of romance, humor, and magic set in the whimsical world created in her previous books The Ex Hex and Kiss Curse. Full of quirky characters and magical mishaps, it’s a lighthearted, feel-good page turner. Sterling’s humor shines, while the engaging romance, sprinkled with tension and spice, adds a fresh twist to familiar tropes. Though the plot is straightforward, the quirky cast and enchanting setting steal the show.
I was surprised that the storyline was going to follow Tamsyn since in the previous book I really did not like her character and I thought it would be hard to believe that she would start dating a Penhallow when she was previously sort of an arch enemy.
But this felt like a redemption story, the book delved into the motivations behind her actions and showed a different side of her which made her more likable.
Overall, The Wedding Witch is a breezy, feel-good read perfect for fans of magical romances with a good dose of humor. If you’re a fan of cozy magical worlds, this book will definitely cast a spell on you.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon Harper Voyager for the ARC.

This third installment in The Ex Hex series follows the final Penhallow brother, Bowen. A reclusive witch determined to do everything to find a way to save his friend caught in a spell gone awry, he hires Tamsyn Bligh to aid his efforts. She is a magical antiquities dealer who was introduced earlier in the series.
While we were given a few moments on Halloween, this is definitely a great holiday read! I loved the glimpses we got to see of the characters we’ve already fallen in love with; especially Vivi and Rhys as parents. But this book’s focus truly was Bowen and Tamsyn’s love story. Their chemistry was electric from the very beginning, despite their determination to ignore it in favor of professionalism. When they show up separately to the same Yule time wedding, they’re accidentally sent back in time to a different wedding taking place in 1957. The stakes ramp up quickly as they attempt to correct the events of the past, as does the nature of their relationship.
Time travel always leaves me a little confounded, and this story was no exception. Much of the plot was driven by fixing the past, but it was all tidily tied up without much explanation other than *magic* saving the day. Regardless, this book had the best seasonal vibes and learning more about the older generations was a great addition to the world.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Erin Sterling for providing an e-Arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a pretty good finale to the Ex Hex trilogy, though it didn’t really feel very connected to the first 2 novels. We go into this book knowing little about Bowen Penhallow other than that he is a recluse who lives in the mountains or Wales and has a lot of magical artifacts/knowledge. I expected we would see more of him in relation to his brothers, as the first 2 books gave off the idea that all roads would lead the brothers back to Graves Glen. While that does seem to end up the case at the very end, most of this book has pretty much nothing to do with Graves Glen. This isn’t a problem with the book, just an unanticipated deviance.
All that aside, I did really enjoy this book. I loved the 2 main characters getting to know each other over a long period of time before being thrust together in a situation that makes them turn from lust to love. There are some questions remaining at the end (like how they ended up going back in time anyway), but overall the storyline worked out well, and I loved that no one seemed to know that their purpose there was not as easily seen as expected. I believed, like many of the characters, that fixing one couples relationship would let them go back to their time. I’m not sure entirely how that fixed his best friends ghost/corporeal problem in the future, though I do have some theories.
The romance really is the reason I read books like this. I loved watching their relationship develop over time to become a real, true love. It didn’t feel rushed because we knew they messaged all the time as part of their work together and that they’d been flirty before. They had a foundation for their relationship that you din’t get to see in a lot of romance novels that have that time limitation.
Overall I really enjoyed this novel, but I did dock it 1 star (really more of half a star) because the book didn’t fit as well into the series and could have just been a stand-alone novel with a couple of tweaks.

I enjoyed this one! The love story between Bowen and Tamsyn was sweet and steamy. I loved that Tamsyn brought out a different side of Bowen. He was so reclusive and quiet but he was sweet and playful with her. I think what I actually enjoyed the most though, was the plot! The witchy Back to the Future adventure really had me hooked. I loved all the secondary characters too!

Cute, magical, witchy, steamy- this is a fun one with nice glimpses of the beloved characters from previous books in the series, even though this one takes place largely outside of Graves Glen. Tamsyn is a funny, charming main character who has great chemistry with gruff Bowen. There's a bit of time travel and some excellent characters along the way.

An excellent (potentially final?) installment in The Ex Hex series! Book #3 follows our last Penhallow brother Bowen and his sort-of-employee that he can’t stop thinking about, the tenacious Tamsyn Bligh. When Tamsyn takes a “last big job” over the holidays to find a rare item, she’s surprised to find herself at the same haunted castle for a doomed wedding as Bowen. When the two of them decide to work together to find out why the object Tamsyn has been tasked with “acquiring” is so special, they find themselves thrown back in time by a distraught witch, demanding that they “fix” what has gone wrong. Thrown back in time with their ancestors, the same object appears, and the two of them have to figure out how to unravel both mysteries before their lost in time forever.
❤️ What I loved: The relationship between Bowen and Tamsyn is so sweet! I love how their relationship develops, and I especially like how they face challenges together without a 3rd act breakup! A great, fast-paced plot and cast of fun side characters make this paranormal romance everything I’m looking for in the genre.
💔 What I didn’t love: As with any time-travel story, there are so many questions that are not answered. Gladly, in this case, I can’t be bothered about it.
Fans of the series will love this last book. Even if this specific series is over, I hope we see more stories in the universe from Erin Sterling in the future.

This is a fun little romance and completes the set of the 3 Penhallow brothers, with Bowen getting his moment. Instead of a cozy fall romance set in Graves Glen, it’s a gothic Yule-time romance in Wales.
Our female main character is Tamsyn, who we last saw as the foil, nay, the antagonist of The Ex Hex. She doesn’t get any real character development, just the quirk of her inner monologue sometimes coming out. And there’s no reference to the fact that Bowen’s brothers think he might be part werewolf …? So evidently these two characters exist in a vacuum in this trilogy. But they fall for each other and are accidentally sent back in time to right some wrongs and uncover the truth about a magical artifact.
Despite my quibbles about the characters, I liked it well enough. The romance is sweet, the setting is atmospheric, the sexy bits are fun.

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Harper & Voyager and Erin Sterling for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first two installments of this series- they had the coziest witchy whimsy vibes for spooky season. A third witchy tale during Yule is just cozy icing on the Holiday Cake.
We finally get inside that grumpy head of Bowen- the eldest third and mysterious Penhallow brother! And Tamsyn is back- but we get her redemption arc! YAY! Like most cozy romance stories- these books will not win Pulitzer prizes- however- they have a place in our hearts due to their simplicity and escape qualities. It sure made me want a four poster bed with some heavy velvet drapes...
I did walk aways with some questions- and I won't share those here so as not to spoil- but I look forward to the masses reading this book and hearing their theories!

I loved this book. I love Christmas so I just couldn’t resist this book.
There’s spookiness and festivity, and I just loved the spice.
It was so much fun to read. I found myself smiling uncontrollably as I read this book. It kept me interested and at the end of each chapter, I just had to keep on going. I would definitely recommend this book.
