Full disclosure: I always love everything that Erin Sterling/Rachel Hawkins writes. So I was thrilled when I finally got my hands on a copy of the latest in the Ex Hex series.
The first 2 books in the series were extremely cozy magical romances with fall vibes. This one was actually a winter holiday book, which threw me a little bit. There was a time travel element, as well as the one bed trope, which I adored.
As far as the characters go, I loved Tamsyn and Bowen. Their dialogue absolutely sparkled. I did think that the development of their relationship went from 0 to 80, so I would have liked a little more development there. The setting was flawless, with most of the book taking place in Wales in the past.
I will say that I felt like this book was too short. Its publication was delayed and I was a little disappointed that reading this book felt so short. It was still compulsively readable, I just wanted more. All in all, I did really enjoy reading it, it just didn’t quite live up to the previous two books in the series for me. This book felt very much like it was wrapping up the series, with all of the Penhallow brothers paired off. If so, this is a bewitching, fluffy, fun series I can see myself revisiting every fall.

I just love a book that has me so enraptured that it keeps me up reading until way too late in the night. The Wedding Witch did just that. Just like our male protagonist, I was in love from day 1. Bowen and Tamsyn were such a delight to read about. From their initial meeting in the pub to the dramatic ending in Wales, I enjoyed every moment with them. Bowen contacts Tamsyn to recruit her to work solely for him finding artifacts as he tries to figure out a spell reversal that has had his best friend, Declan, in an in-between state since college. The two wind up at the exclusive wedding of Declan's old fiancé and the initial spark they felt in that initial meeting bursts into flames. This had the perfect witchy vibes that I was looking for. There was serious chemistry, a mystery to solve, a fantastic setting, and a great only one bed situation. Tamsyn and Bowen are by far my favorite pair of this series. They just worked. I am not an insta-love person ever, but this one really worked for me for some reason. I loved how good these two were together. While you do not need to read the first two in this series to enjoy this one, they really enhanced the book during the scenes with Bowen's family. It was a ton of fun getting to see them and where they were at.
If you have already read the others in the series, you will love this one. It was my favorite. If you haven't, I highly recommend. They are great rom-coms with a fun magical feel and worth losing sleep for. A solid 5 stars!

This is such a fun read! I loved Bowen and Tamsyn so much and felt their chemistry from the jump. They had great witty banter, were playful together, but also had such a cute story together. I give it 4.5/5 stars and definitely recommend this book!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!
This series has been so fun and witchy! This was another cute installment to Grave’s Glen! I enjoyed the time travel aspect and the new characters introduced. This was a short and cute spooky season read and if you enjoyed the other two in the series you will enjoy this one!

Thank you to netgalley and Harper Collins for providing me a arc of this book. I have read the first two books of the series,so it is only fitting that I read the third by this author. This book is a blend of fantasy, romance, and paranormal and covers several holidays. The characters were captivating.

While after falling in love with the town of Graves Glen it was hard to not see much of it as a setting or previous characters, but The Wedding Witch had all the other token traits of the series. It’s easy to love each of the Penhallows and their individual loves, and the side characters throughout this book were so easy to fall in love with. I cannot wait for more people to read and enjoy this conclusion to the series. My only major complaint is that the plot felt rushed at times, and the conflicts didn’t feel as spaced out or dealt with as they did in the first two books, but that could just be my distance from the first two making this one seem less. It also felt shorter and while usually that wouldn’t bother me if it felt like the right length to tell the story, I feel like it needed a bit more time. Overall 3/3.5 stars!

Such a honestly fun book. What better way to get into the holiday season than a Yule romance/mystery.
I have to say that I love the character of Tamsyn. Her character interacting with Bowen’s grumpy self just made my day. I had not read any of the previous books (crazy I know) but I found you didn’t have to read the other two books first. Although, after reading this one I will definitely go back and pick the first two books up.
You’ll love this book if you like:

I received a ARC of this book, all opinions are my own.

What a cute book! I've read other books in this series, and other books by Erin Sterling, so I knew I wanted to read this book when I saw it available on NetGalley. Thankfully I was chosen, and I absolutely ate this book up.
The storyline was super intriguing, and I honestly enjoyed it more than I thought I might. I do think it could have been longer and certain parts more fleshed out, but overall, the story didn't feel rushed. The banter between Bowen and Tamsyn was perfect, and really added to my enjoyment of the book. I also loved how sassy Tamsyn was, and how sweet Bowen was when it came to her.
I would have given this 5*, but I didn't really understand how quickly Bowen fell in love with Tamsyn. It almost felt insta-love to some extent and that kind of turned me off. Still a really great story, though!
Thank you so much to NetGalley, the publisher and Erin for giving me the chance to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I started this series with this book, and i definitely want to go back and read the first two books. This story was so cute, so sweet and spicy, had some amazing paranormal elements and the story itself was also so much fun!
Bowen and Tamsyn have a great relationship starting with business partners and slowly moving towards freinds and harboring secret feelings. I love the paranormal stuff in this book with witches, curses, ghosts and more, and I was shocked as so much of the story happened! It’s the perfect book for the final part of the year and I’m so glad to have read this one in October! I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author!

Wedding Witch is the third installment in the Ex Hex series. Bowen Penhallow hires Tamsyn Bligh to exclusively procure magical items for reasons unknown. Keeping secrets from each other, Bowen and Tamsyn cancel plans to see each other on Christmas. To their surprise they end up attending the same wedding at Tywyll estate located in the Welsh countryside. After a spell gone wrong, they both transported back in time to 1957 where they must work together and pretend to be married to get back to the present day. Could all of this be a perfect recipe for a happily ever after?
While some of the book had me confused along the way, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of the events in the book had me wondering what they had to do with certain other events. Difficult to get specific without spoilers. However, I would say this was my favorite book in this series and I even read it in one sitting.
Overall, this was a very charming read with a touch of spice. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes holiday/fantasy themed reads and grumpy vs sunshine tropes. Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed The Wedding Witch! This series really got better was it went along. The plot line in this one was entertaining and the time travel was cool. Both of the characters were interesting and I liked them together as a couple. Appropriate for a fall or winter TBR!

A delightful magical holiday romance featuring a relic hunter, her hot witch employer, oh and the fact that they're trapped in the past and need to find a way out. Bowen Penhallow has been a loner most of his life and has been studying dark and ancient magic in the mountains in Wales. He blames himself for the fact that his best friend used a forbidden spell and got turned into a ghost and has vowed to find a way to turn him back. After 10 years of failing to do so he decides to hire Tamsyn Blight, a beautiful relic hunter who is talented at finding objects. When they first meet she kisses him and he can't help but fall for her, too bad she has a rule that she refuses to date anyone she works with. Now a year later, Bowen agrees to go to his ghost friend's Colin's fiancee's new wedding to make sure it's all right and coincidentally Tamsyn is on a hunt for an object there as well. Yet as the wedding goes up in disaster, both Tamsyn and Bowen fid themselves transported back into the past and must find a way to fix things and make it right in order to get back to their present. Filled with wedding shenanigans, Yuletide fun, and a sweet romance, this was such a cute read and a great addition to the series. I loved the chemistry between Tamsyn and Bowen and the story was an enjoyable and easy read. I've loved reading this series and getting to know the characters throughout each book and can't wait to see what else the author writes next!

*Thanks Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager | Avon for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

This may be my favorite of the Penhallow books-- Bowen is an interesting, complex lead, and I really liked following Tamsin in and out of trouble. The setting is great, and I liked the time-travel element. It's always fun to see what's is changed by time traveling, but it also requires a little more suspension of disbelief. The characters certainly have spark, and I found the secondary characters fun and charming as well. I enjoyed this book so much that I went back and read the second book in the series that I somehow missed. I will always pick up Sterling's books, and I've always found them fun and engaging!

Short synopsis: Bowen and Tamsyn attend a Yule Wedding to find a list artifact, when a strong spell sends them back to 1957.
My thoughts: This is perfect if you want a quick, no thought process needed cozy Holiday book.
It felt a little “insta-love” to me, but they did know each other for a year prior. We just didn’t get that part of the story. And I always like cameos from previous characters!
I read (and enjoyed the other two more) but I will definitely continue picking up any future books in this series. The family and magic is so much fun.

- Only one bed
- Workplace romance

The Wedding Witch is the third installment in the series following the Penhallow brothers, historically powerful witches throughout time or so we think. Bowen Penhallow and Tamsyn Bligh lead the novel this time around. The readers are brought into the world of Bowen the middle brother of the trio best known for being a lone wolf studying magic up in the mountains with a beard that only makes past characters refer to him as a werewolf. The narrative begins with Bowen and Tamsyns initial infatuation and shared interest for one another and leads them through a story that includes time travel (most importantly) and explores their own personal challenges on their journey's to find love, be loved and have their own truly unique human and witch experience. I really enjoyed the multiple elements that this novel brings in focusing on the two protagonists romance as well as the journey's that brought them to their life paths. I valued learning more about Bowen's past history and experiences that lead him to being a loner studying magic and collecting rare artifacts however I do feel like his character could have been given much more depth. In lieu of offering a spoiler, it was not extremely clear to myself as the reader what it was that Bowen was ultimately searching for in his quest to collect artifacts and research magic, you do learn more and more about the why throughout the book but I do think the story could have benefitted from additional clarification. Additionally I would have liked the author to use the time travel portion of the novel to explore more about Simon (the father's) history and how his parents lead him to be the person he is in the present. Lastly I felt like the inner monologues offered were confusing at times and shifted too rapidly between Bowen and Tamsyn. Overall enjoyable fun, cute, read! This book offered many moments of the humor, jokes and overall stubbornness of the Penhallow men trying to find love. The Christmas themes in this book are not too in your face either which I appreciated as well!
Thank you Netgalley and Avon Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 ⭐
1.5 🌶️
Tropes: He falls first, one bed, time travel
Bowen is a witch in need of someone to work exclusively for him acquiring magical antiquities. Enter Tamsyn- artifact retriever extraordinaire and the most beautiful woman he has ever met. When they meet to discuss her working for him exclusively the sparks are immediate. They work together over the course of a year, with the feelings between them continuing to strengthen.
Despite their exclusivity “contract”, Tamsyn decides to take “one last job” during a wedding at an Estate in Wales. Tamsyn is sure she’ll be able to complete this without Bowen finding out, except when she arrives she finds out he’s also there as a wedding guest. And then, if that wasn’t bad enough, through a series of unfortunate events Bowen and Tamsyn find themselves hurled back in time to 1957.
Man, this book was so cute, and FUNNY! I ended up reading this in one sitting, it was so good. Their flirty, snarky texts were especially great. This story felt like a spicy Christmas Dr. Who special, if the Doctor and his companion were in love with each other (I know, I know the 11th doctor and Rose, but Amy is my fave companion so it would be her lol). This was quick read but with surprising depth- it had me smiling the whole time.
Be sure to add this to your TBR for your cozy Christmas reads, you won’t regret it.

The Wedding Witch is another fall time gem from Erin Sterling. I look forward to her offerings every year.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced digital copy.

2.5 rounded up. I didn't love this in comparison to the first two books. I feel like all of the falling in love happened in a quick prologue. By the time Bowen has his realization that he's in love with Tamsyn I was left wondering how we had already gotten there. It would've worked better if we had spent more time seeing their correspondences. I also really took issue with how hand-wavy the ending is. "Magic finds a way" is a huge cop out in my opinion and the time travel aspect of this doesn't really work out. I'm sad that I didn't like this more. It's a fine book if you're trying to finish the series but it's not something I'd pick up on its own.

I'm so happy to have received this ARC! I've absolutely loved this series, and The Wedding Wish was a perfect addition.
Tamsyn is a truly delightful character and will fit it so well with the Jones/Penhallow bunch. I really enjoyed the fact that this was haunted house/ Christmas vibes.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but the third fell a little short for me. It is definitely a fun, light read which would be great for both spooky season and winter holidays- but little things, like the banter, was too on the nose.
The relationship between the two main characters also felt rushed. I would have enjoyed a little more pining or more of a view into the period where they are supposed to be getting to know each other so well. Instead we get some screen grabs of emails and texts to infer the intensity of the relationship’s escalation and it just didn’t hit.
I would still recommend for those who liked the first two books, and to anyone looking for a Halloween/winter holiday romance. Extra points for showing Yule celebrations!
