This is a hard book for me to review. I devoured books 1 and 2, but I just did not love this one like I loved the others.

While it was my least favorite in the trilogy, I still enjoyed the read. I love Bowen’s character; however, I wish there was more of the other characters from the previous two books.

If you aren’t sure if you’re in the mood for Spooky Season or Christmas (Yule), then this is the book for you!

Release date: October 14th

The Wedding Witch was definitely my favorite book of the series! This one follows reclusive witch Bowen Penhaven and Tamsyn Bligh, a human who specializes in acquiring (cough *stealing*) magical artifacts. This was an unusual premise with spooky haunted Christmas vibes and an interesting time travel twist. If you enjoy cozy witch stories, forced proximity/one bed tropes, sexy chemistry, and haunted houses, you’ll like this one! My only complaint was that I didn’t quite understand the ending - I still have questions. But I did get emotional at the end, especially with Harri and Elspeth. Really hoping Emerald gets her own book!

Thank you Erin Sterling and Avon for the ARC and the opportunity to provide my honest feedback.

I absolutely loved The Wedding Witch, what a wonderful to end the trilogy. Bowen & Tamsyn are adorable characters who you are rooting for from their first bar meeting to the “only one bed” scenario they find themselves in later. A delightful and quick read that left me smiling.

This was a cute third book to the series. It gave me holiday vibes and was a cozy read. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite book out of the series because I thought it was going to be more fall vibes than Christmas.

I tend to have a habit of requesting NetGalley books without realizing that they are books in a series, and I'm totally fine with that, because it means that I get to experience even more reading joy when something like "The Wedding Witch" comes across my computer screen ready to download. Without me knowing that Erin Sterling had two more titles. So thank you to NetGalley and Avon/Harper Voyager for allowing me to read the ARC!

If Graves Glen was a real place, I'd be in my car from North Carolina on my way to Georgia as quick as possible to feel the magic of their spooky small town and *hopefully* meet a wonderfully attractive Welsh witch to lock me down in their spooky small town - like the Salem of the south. Tamsyn and Bowen's story was imaginative, with just enough magic to add to the story without it being an all about magic fantasy tale. With time travel, a little danger and some steamy romance - it's the perfect read as we transition into fall and spooky season.

If you haven't already, I'd highly suggest going back and checking out "The Ex Hex" and "The Kiss Curse" to get the full experience!

I read this in one sitting it was perfectly cute and cozy. It’s definitely had a winter witch feel which was a nice change from the first two books in the series. I get that it matched the characters vibes well and really wasn’t overly done on holiday cheesiness but instead focused on the mystery. I am still confused and slightly sad that it wasn’t explained more about how the Declan story line resolved and I really really wanted to know more about the spell that fixed it all….I need a little bit of logic behind the magic 😂

It was a fun adventure. I love a good time travel and one bed trope ;) the ending obviously was sweet and had its moments of being VERY sweet though it was a good wrap to the series.

Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for an ARC. I enjoyed the entire series.

Erin Sterling's The Wedding Witch is the third book in The Ex Hex series. This novel focuses on Bowen Penhallow and his slow burning romance with his co-worker, Tamsyn. It's an easy read and enjoyable enough. Perfect for a little romance between the Halloween and Christmas/Yule holidays.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Publishing for the chance to read this novel.

I love this series so much! It is the perfect cozy witchy read for the fall season.

Bowen and Tamsyn are such a fun couple. Their chemistry together is instant and electric. I wish we had gotten a bit more of a backstory on Tamsyn, but overall I really loved her character. She was sassy and unapologetically herself. Together they felt like the grumpy x sunshine trope, and I was living for it.

This book took a turn that I was not expecting, but was so happy with the end result. Instead of attending a wedding from their century, Tamsyn and Bowen and whisked back to the 1950s and are stuck trying to right the past and figure out how to get home. the shenanigans that these two get up to are wild and hilarious. Their chemistry was also off the charts.

While I was reading I had no clue how the book would wrap up while tying up all of the loose ends. Luckily it did, though I was left wondering how somethings came to be...

Of course we have our happily ever after which had be giggling and kicking my feet. I am really hoping we get Emerald's story someday because the book left the option open and she seems like such a fun and interesting character.

Overall, I loved this book. It was a perfect and quick read to get you in the cozy spooky season mood.

Thank you to Avon and Erin Sterling for a digital eARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't get through this book, which was surprising because I loved the Ex Hex. It felt like it dragged at time and was hard to feel the chemistry when they were away for weeks and the only contact was through email.

I fell head over heels for Sterling's The Wedding Witch! I definitely need to read books one and two in this series, but feel I was still able to appreciate Bowen Penhallow's story without knowing his connection to the other books. I devoured this magical, witchy time-traveling book and loved watching Bowen and Tamsyn's relationship form through their lighthearted, steamy banter and common goal of returning to their own time. This book is the perfect read for the Fall. Grab your copy when it comes out on 10/8/24! Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for my ARC!

Bowen is a witch who is one of the MCs in the book and Tandy’s is a human. The book is centered Bowen and Tamsyn working together to get back to the present, and facing off with the origins of Tywyll House’s haunting, the suspicions of their fellow witches…oh, and the fact that somewhere between the mistletoe and the bonfire, they might be falling in love.

I had a hard time connecting with all the characters and felt they were undeveloped. I wanted to feel more of the chemistry but for more than half the book it didn’t happen until finally it did and then it was over. So the love story didn’t hold true to a typical slow burn in my opinion.

They did provide a nice banter consistency and a lot of funny lovable moments but the overall feel just felt a little short for me unfortunately. Still a really cute and magical read for those who loved the first two.

I’m such a big fan of this series and the penhollow boys! This did feel a little rushed to me but there was still a good storyline. I haven’t always been a fan of time travel but I think this was done well.

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟💫 (3.5 rounded up to 4, due to GR and NG ratings)
Spicy Rating: 🌶

This is the third book in Erin Sterling's Ex Hex series, following The Ex Hex and The Kissing Curse. This story follows the recluse Penhallow mountain man brother Bowen in his quest to find ancient magic items. He decides to find someone online to help him in his search for these items and stumbles upon Tamsyn Bligh.

Tamsyn, after a year of working for Bowen, decides to do one last job on her own. She and Bowen end up showing up to the same wedding at Tywyll House because of this. Bowen is there because he was guilted by his ghost roomate/bestfriend, Declan, into going to this wedding of his ex fiancé and Tamsyn is there to do her final job, find this special Brooch. One thing leads to another, and they find themselves 50 years in the past, needing to figure out what went wrong all those years ago and to fix it so they can return to 2024. Tamsyn, from the start of her and Bowen's business dealings, set strict boundaries. She did not get involved with coworkers. Soon, those boundaries get blurred.

The Wedding Witch brought new elements to this series. This was the first human and witch romantic relationship. There were also several steamy scenes. This was also the first book to take place very little in Graves Glen; the different locations and time traveling kept things interesting for me.

All this said, though, this book didn't blow me away like the very first one book, and the second had me feeling warm and fuzzy. I just didn't feel the wedding/winter/Christmasy/Yule vibes I had expected from the title and description. All in all, I would recommend this title to other fans on the series. I'm glad I read it and got to dive into more of this world. It's still a cute read, hoping the series continues.

The Wedding Witch is the perfect end to the Grave Glen series. The way Erin Sterling blended the time travel elements with the romance and the melancholy of the Yuletide season. I love the flirtation between our hero and heroine. I've been waiting two books to understand Bowen and see him fall in love and I wasn't disappointed!

I rated it a 4 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed the book and the relationship, and it was exactly what I expected it to be. A solid, fun read.

Thanks to Avon for the gifted copy of this book!

A perfect read for those who don’t know if they’re in the mood for spooky season or holiday reads, THE WEDDING WITCH is the third book in the EX HEX series, but it can also be read as a standalone.

Bowen Penhallow hires short and feisty Tamsyn to get all of the magical artifacts he’s looking for to help right a past mistake. She has a rule not to sleep with her bosses — but she still gets in a mistletoe kiss before their work relationship is official. When magic goes awry and they’re unexpectedly stuck together, can they stay apart?!

Spoiler - it’s a no 😂 This was a super light, fun, and bingeable read with a grouchy, bearded Welshman witch and a take-no-crap FMC. Their dynamic was cute and although the plot left something to be desired and the pacing was a bit stop and rush, I did really like Bowen and Tamsyn’s relationship!

This was a solid witchy read for both christmas and spooky time. This book follows Bowen (a witch and the third Penhallow brother) and Tamsyn (a non magical human).

Tamsyn is Bowen’s employee and they bump into each other at a Christmastime/Yuletime wedding. When a spell goes wrong, they time travel into the past and must help mend an important relationship in the year 1957.

This book as so fun and perfect for the spooky season. I did feel like something was missing with the relationship aspect - we jumped from acquaintances to “in love” kind of out of the blue.

I’d definitely recommend this series and book for someone wanting a light, fun read for spooky season that isn’t actually spooky 🫶🏻

(3.25/5 stars)

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling is the third book in the Graves Glen paranormal romance series.

Technically, this trio of books can be read individually as standalones, but I'd still recommend reading them in order since we do get cameos and updates from the MCs of the previous books in later installments. This one felt the steamiest of all three, and I'm not complaining.

I've really enjoyed this series so far, but the plot felt like it had a few hitches in this one. I had several questions as it wrapped up that I felt were left a bit ambiguous or perhaps were even forgotten. The author mentioned in her Acknowledgements that this one was the hardest book she's ever had to write. I think that came across a bit for me in the execution.

The first 10% of the book is taken up by a prologue that is semi-epistolary, which I tend to enjoy. I wish there was a bit more of that, though, to help build up the feelings these two characters had for one another. They seemed to jump to love from like super fast.

Though The Wedding Witch didn't land as well for me as the first two books in the series, in the end I'd still recommend it as a fun and steamy cozy paranormal romance to pick up this fall or winter.

Tropes in this book include: "office" romance, fake dating, forced proximity, only one bed, time travel shenanigans, holiday (yule), epistolary prologue

I will always read Erin Sterling and this point definitely proves why! Amazing witchy vibes combined with the holidays, means this is something I will want to read again and again. The banter between Tasmyn and Bowen was so fun anf I found myself looking forward to every interaction between the two. This is a great addition to Erin's previous books and I can't wait to read what she writes next!

What a fun crossover--a Halloween-y yet very Christmas-focused story. Bowen and Tasmine get stuck in the past while attending a Christmas wedding at a very magical estate. Need I say more?!

Bowen and Tasmine have this very much opposites attract feel. She is this vixen putting her life at risk to find precious artifacts from the past, while he is very much a studious introvert preferring to stay in his library than anywhere else. Together they must solve what happened when a desperate spell was cast sending them to the past.

Erin Sterling did such a good job writing the steam for this book. Did I mention there is only one bed!? Bowen and Tasmyn have undeniable tension and chemistry, but I also would have liked to see a little more relationship build-up. I felt like we went from first meeting to intense feelings very quickly. While this is a romance novel, I really enjoyed the mystery side plot. It kept me engaged so they could get their happy ever after. Not to mention the past and present of each family was fun to compare.

Read if you like a sort of workplace, opposites attract, time-traveling witchy romance. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 10/15.
