3.5 stars | This was an enjoyable, quick, holiday read. While the first two books in the series were fall/Halloween vibes this one is winter/Christmas and felt cozy.
That being said, this one fell flat to me compared to the others. It’s essentially Back to the Future but magic based time travel and a romcom. I developed no connection to the characters and the love story felt “insta-love” as we don’t see a majority of their relationship despite them knowing each other for a year. This book also felt significantly spicier than the previous two.
Overall it was still an enjoyable read if you liked the rest of the series.

THE BEST YET TBH!!!! first of all i love the ex hex series, routinely i love any paranormal romcom but these are special in my heart. erin sterling outdid herself e this one though. bringing back tamsyn was a stroke of genius, and her chemistry with bowen was unreal. all the twists and turns were perfect bc they raised the stakes but never made me frustrated enough that i wanted to put the book down. i am so so so glad i got to read this early, and highly recommend it for everyone else!!
SPOILERY STUFF AHEAD:
i am so glad that we didn’t try to explain all the time travel stuff bc having incoherent time travel rules is a pet peeve of mine, i’d so much rather have an “i guess it all worked out, who cares how” moment. also elspeth and harri and emerald were SUCH amazing characters, im so glad i was able to get to know them in this book.

Erin Sterling does it again! I've grown so fond of these witchy romances and this one was just as great as the first two in the series.
Reading about the ever mysterious Bowen Penhallow and the very different type of woman he falls in love with was a great way to change it up from the previous stories. This story was also suspenseful and felt more mysterious than the first two and I truly couldn't put it down.

The Graves Glen series has been such a delight to read during the Fall months and The Wedding Witch was no exception. I loved getting a closer look at Bowen Penhallow and seeing Tamsyn return to the cast of characters. The timeline of their romance made everything so much sweeter and the plot felt fun and unique. This was a quick read and the worldbuilding isn't too deep. Definitely fun as we move into the witchier months!

Another completely captivating book in the graves glen world! I loved loved loved following grumpy Barron & Tamsyn! This one may be my favorite of the 3!
Thanks to netgalley and Avon for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review!

This is my favorite out of the series! Magic, time travel, a haunted house, ghosts, and a few snippets of our beloved talking cat, what more could you ask for? I felt that this was also more plot driven then the other books. Bowen is quirky and very likeable. Tamsyn starts as someone we are annoyed with but quickly redeems herself. This felt magical and cozy the whole time.
Both Tamsyn and Bowen are guests to a wedding that they shouldn't be at for different reasons. Will Tamsyn be able to finish the job she started? Will Bowen be able to help his friend? What disaster will these two get into? With magic and ghosts, the possibilities are endless.
Thank you Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for a chance to Arc read this.

Rating: 4/5
Spice: 1.5/5
Bowen spends his days studying magic in his Welsh countryside home. Searching for a magical artifact to help his best friend (who also happens to be a ghost); he hires Tamysn to begin procuring items for him.
Tamsyn is a spitfire. A woman who aquires and sells magical goods, she agrees to take on Bowen as a client. And ONLY as a client. But, when an invitation to a wedding ends in a rainy run through a maze, a magical brooch and time traveling, Bowen might just become more than a client to her.
The setting in this book had me cozied up on the couch. The ambiance, roaring fires, gin cocktails and spooky settings made this book perfect for fall. And the banter between our two main characters?! Unmatched.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Harper Voyager for the eARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I'm not always a huge fan of time travel in books but I really liked this one! I thought the mystery was interesting and I loved the banter between Bowen and Tamsyn. I loved that we got to see some of their emails and texts to each other.
My biggest complaint about this book is that so much of the relationship development happens (presumably) off page. I think the book would have benefited from either a little more of that background through texts and emails or by being a little longer so we saw their relationship develop over more than just a few days on page.
And though the mystery was interesting, I just...didn't get the ending? Like really didn't understand what was happening and why. I won't get more into it than that for the purposes of this review.
Ultimately a pretty okay/solid witchy read for the season! Even if it is a bit more Yule themed than Fall lol
Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for the eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The third book in the series, The Wedding Witch focuses on a new couple. A time traveling romance with a bit of spice and insta love, wraps this story into a cute little bundle of coziness. It starts off slow but does pick up.

✨ARC Review✨
Release date: 10/8/24
I’m still swooning over getting approved for this ARC and yes, I have preordered a physical copy to go with the other two. This series is one of my favorite, cozy, romcom reads.
So thankful @netgalley exists and @erinsterlingbooks is such a talented writer. I devoured The Wedding Witch. Definitely my favorite of the series.
This is the third book in the Graves Glen series. All standalone, but all alluded to things that have happened in previous books. You should start with The Ex Hex, then The Kiss Curse, and in October, this one!
The Wedding Witch follows Bowen Penhallow, the third of the brothers, and Tamsyn. Bowen hires Tamsyn to help him find magical artifacts and the attraction they feel is instant. The problem? Tamsyn (a human) has one rule- never fall for her colleagues. When they both end up at a wedding looking for an artifact, they’re unceremoniously both flung back in time to 1957, and the rules may or may not change.
If you missed it up top, I adored this book. I adore this series. I love Erin Sterling and I love her writing as Rachel Hawkins, as well. Perfectly delightful start to the ‘ber months.

This is the third book in the Ex Hex series. I really liked most of it, but wasn't a fan of the ending. The book mostly takes place in Wales at a large, haunted estate in the countryside, in both the present and in the 1950s. Tamsyn and Bowen have great chemistry, but I wish we'd seen more of them falling for each other on page (it's mostly just shown through texts to each other at the beginning of the book). If not for the ending, I would have a more positive review because I enjoyed the story and assumed the questions I had would be resolved by the end. Well, they weren't.
Spoilers/rant ahead: WHY did the broach "fix" everything? What was "undone" by going back in time? How did Declan come back to life or come out of limbo or whatever it was that was wrong (which wasn't explained) after Tamsyn and Bowen went back to the future? Why were Bowen's grandparents at the Welsh mansion? Was his grandma related to them? If so, then Bowen would be related to Carys and THAT could have been his excuse for attending her wedding rather than just "being a Penhallow." Why did Emerald turn into a "ghost" (or whatever she was -- again, it wasn't explained), and why was she NOT a "ghost" after Bowen and Tamsyn got back? What was the point of the protection spells from the village witch? What was the point of the village witch? What was the point of the statue "that hadn't been there before" (not a direct quote, but something that seemed meaningful when the statue was mentioned) that Carys did the spell in front of? What was the spell Carys did and where did she find it and how did she know it would work and why was she getting married to someone else if she only wanted Declan and why did it seem like something sinister was going on with her fiance (not Declan but the other one)?
After that rant, it probably seems like I hated this book. I didn't. It was cute and cozy and a little spooky. I just wish my questions had been answered. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC.

Having not read the previous books in this series, I was a little nervous to read this one. But I absolutely loved it and plan on reading the first two right away.
I loved the banter between Bowen and Tamsyn. Also anytime time travel is involved in a book I will immediately read it.
If you are looking for a cute holiday witchy book that has endearing family history, cute romance and time travel I highly suggest picking up The Wedding Wish.

As with the other books in this series, this book was super sweet and cozy. Bowen is shy, sturdy, and determined to help his friend. Tamsyn is tenacious and acquires magical artifacts for anyone who pays well enough. It isn’t always easy, or safe, but she loves her job. She is airy and fun and Bowen is immediately drawn to her. They strike a deal and she, unknowingly, starts helping him to find answers for his friend. A little impulsivity and a lot of loyalty land them together in a haunted house looking for answers, and I just know you will love how the rest plays out. The perfect sweet read to get you ready for Fall/Winter.

I had high hopes for *The Wedding Witch* by Erin Sterling, especially with its festive Christmas setting, elements of magical realism, and a promising romance. These are themes I typically adore. However, the book didn't quite live up to my expectations.
Sterling’s descriptions of the locations and the ambiance were beautifully crafted, immersing me in the world she created. Unfortunately, the characters felt distant and lacked the emotional depth I was looking for. Bowen Penhallow and Tamsyn Bligh's journey through time in search of a magical item had all the ingredients for an engaging story, but I struggled to connect with them.
That said, the novel is a pleasant read that transitions nicely into the cozy 'ber' months, and I can see it being a hit for many readers. While it wasn’t my cup of tea, it doesn’t deter me from exploring more of Sterling’s work in the future.

✅ Bowen Penhallow (last of the 3 brothers to get his own book), magical academic & Tamsyn Bligh, dealer of magical artifacts
✅ Bowen and Tamsyn are magicked back to 1957 and have to figure their way back to the present
✅witches, ghosts etc.
✅ only one bed
🌶️: some

I love this series by Erin Sterling. I’ve been eagerly anticipating this book for a while. It was fantastic! I had the best time reading it. It’s a fun, witchy rom-com with a little bit of spice and lots of cozy holiday vibes.
I enjoyed the time travel element and was truly on the edge of my seat until the end to see how things would be resolved. This is also a quick read — I read it in a day and didn’t want to put it down. Here’s to hoping we get more books from Erin Sterling set in this world!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC, which was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Okay I got this book as an ARC from NetGalley and I loved it. Albeit I read it not even realizing that it was the third in the series (even though my sister has been trying to get me to read the first two for years now, sorry Megan!) it was still an awesome standalone in that sense. I’m definitely going to read the others because now I’m in love with this world.
It’s a grumpy/sunshine and forced proximity story of magic, love, and ridiculous Christmas themed cocktails. The story sucked me right in and I never wanted to put it down. Such a fun and whimsical read. My only complaint is that I read this in August and not October/November cuddled up on my couch while the seasons were changing. A minor detail that I will fix when I inevitably reread this whole series

4.5/🌶️ (their sweet chemistry made all the spicy scenes more amplified to me, I love them together 😭)

The third installment of Erin Sterling's series was simply magical! I enjoy the light-hearted coziness with a hint of spicy! If you like the horror genre and lean towards the witchy nostalgia of Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this is the perfect trio of books. I love how the author focuses on family. In this particular tale, the time travel element was really fun and fresh! The love match between Bowen and Tamsyn was great and definitely one that builds tension as the book progresses. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoy this series, and will continue to read more Erin Sterling!

This was a cute witchy read in the wonderful world that Erin Sterling has created! It has been a while between books but I did not feel lost at all. I enjoyed the holiday setting and the characters are adorable, especially Tamsyn!

I had the best time reading this book. I am a huge fan of Sterling's first two books in the series, I was so excited to read about Bowen's story!
I adored being in the world of Graves Glen and among brilliant witches. This book is witty, romantic, suspenseful, and joyful. It was easy to jump back into this world and become captivated by Bowen and Tamsyn's relationship. I was surprised by the introduction of the "L" word at only 40% in but as soon as the time travel plot hit us, I was all in. The chemistry and banter fell into place when they realized what they needed to do to save themselves and return to the present. I am greedy in the fact that I think there could have been more, but what we got was spectacular and well-executed especially the build-up.
One thing that I greatly appreciate about this book is that I did not anticipate the ending. I thought that what the main characters were thinking was going to be the way the book ended. However, like Bowen and Tamsyn, I had no idea how they would have managed to return to the present, who would be there and alive when they did, and how perfectly the past and present have changed in their time away. The conclusion of The Wedding Witch was even better than I could have ever imagined. I would not change a thing.
I am excited to recommend this book to readers looking for a cozy, witchy, romance series, perfect for the fall,
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley for an ARC of this book!
