I loved this story!! Tamsyn and Bowen are one of my new favorite couples. Their chemistry was instant and on FIRE. This was a worth the wait slow burn and it paid off, they quipped back and forth but they knew each other so well and they got along.
The plot was amazing, I loved the magic the twists and turns I wasn’t expecting any of that! I would read this story over and over every year honestly it was that good! 5/5 stars and 10/10 recommend!

"The Wedding Witch" by Erin Sterling is a delightful addition to The Ex Hex series. If you enjoyed the first two books, you're sure to love this one. Set against the enchanting backdrop of a Yuletide wedding during the winter solstice, this novel perfectly balances the magic of witches with the cozy charm of the holiday season. The story artfully weaves popular tropes like forced proximity, time travel, and coworkers to lovers, creating a captivating and heartwarming romance. With its unique setting and engaging plot, it's an excellent read from October to December.

Thank you so much for the advanced copy of this book! I have loved this series so much and will never get over the incredible banter and wit put into these books. This one had everything I wanted; main character chemistry, laugh out loud moments, attainable magic, and a happy ending. I'll definitely be recommending this to everyone and anyone when it's out!

The Wedding Witch is the 3rd entry in The Ex Hex series, about the Penhallow brothers, and the witches of Graves Glan, GA. Bowen Penhallow is a recluse, preferring to live alone in the wilds of Wales, using the services of Tamsyn Bligh, a human woman, who acquires magical goods for those who are willing to pay the right price. From the beginning of the book, it's clear that Bowen and Tamsyn have strong chemistry, but are resisting a romantic relationship so as to not muddy the waters of their working relationship. Those plans go awry when Bowen and Tamsyn end up in the same haunted manor house in Wales, attending the wedding of Bowen's best friend's ex-fiancé. On their first night in the manor house, the bride works a mysterious spell and sends Bowen and Tamsyn back to 1957, and together they must work out how to get back to their correct time, with a little help from Bowen's own grandparents.
The book is told in alternating chapters from the perspective of both Bowen and Tamsyn, and once they are sent back in time to 1957, they quickly give in to their romantic attraction. As with the previous books, there is a magical mystery afoot that they must work together to solve, and my main criticism is that this side quest if you will, ends up being wrapped up by someone else altogether, with almost no explanation on what happened, how it was solved, or any further details on several plot lines that I felt like needed to be addressed. This is why I'm rating the book 4 stars. Their chemistry was satisfying, and the romantic scenes were sufficiently steamy, but the main plot of the book was closed up and just dismissed, with minimal elaboration.
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyage and NetGalley for the electronic ARC of this novel for review.

This book is SO good. I've read both The Ex Hex and The kiss Curse so i was SO excited to see the arc for this was available! It is ADORABLE and my favorite already.
This book is super cozy and I absolutely adored the plot.
AN absolute 5/5 stars, it deserves all the praise (I will be singing it from the rooftops). Bowen and Tamsyn's relationship is adorable and I love that it's a slow build for them. The communication between the two is amazing and their love story feels real (Minus the time travelling, of course).

I have enjoyed the other books in this series and this one did not disappoint! Welsh mountain man Bowen Penhallow was a bit of a mysterious figure in the first two books, so I was happy to see that he was getting his own love story. He's matched up with Tamsyn Bligh, who is sort of a magical artifact procurer, and he signs her to an exclusive contract to work for him finding weird stuff he asks for, which turns out to be stuff that he's testing out in at attempt to bring back his best friend who managed to disappear and is in kind of a purgatory state. Tamsyn and Bowen meet to set up their professional relationship in a pub in London on Christmas Eve, have a scorching mistletoe kiss, and then embark on a friendly, mostly professional, almost exclusively long-distance relationship. Almost a year later, Bowen finds himself at Declan's (the aforementioned not alive but also not unalive best friend) former fiance's wedding and happens to run right into Tamsyn, in disguise and on a job (that she found on some sort of magical version of the dark web) to find a powerful and weird artifact. Things go a bit sideways and they end up time-traveling to try to undo some powerful magic. it seems weird to say this after that summary, but this actually felt a bit less angsty than the first two, but definitely follows a similar pattern and was a similarly quick and satisfying witchy romance. I really liked the pairing of Bowen and Tamsyn, and enjoyed getting a peek into their developing relationship through text messages sent over the course of nearly a year.

Super cute, quick-read. I requested this ACR without realizing it was part of a series but it read fine as a stand alone. There are other characters mentioned from the previous books but it didn't cause me any confusion or trouble enjoying Bowen and Tamsyn's love story. I'll likely go back and read the rest of the series, based on other reviews, they might be even better that this one, and I personally thought this was good so I'm looking forward to it.
Bowen, a powerful witch from a powerful bloodline, meets Tamsyn, a human with an impressive skill to find and procure magical items. Bowen and Tamsyn strike up a deal to work together but quickly find it difficult to keep their arrangement, strictly business.
Some of the things I enjoyed about the book were the banter and chemistry between the main characters. I also enjoyed the connections made with other characters throughout the story as well as the found family aspect in the end. However, I did feel the ending was kind of rushed. I had to re-read a couple of the last pages because I thought I had missed something, but I didn't. I think the resolution to the whole plot of the book just wasn't thoroughly explained. I personally felt like there was a chapter missing, tying up lose ends.
If it had not been for the confusion in the end, I think this could have been a 4.5/5-star read for me. I would still recommend this as a fluffy, no-third act break up, grumpy-sunshine, seasonal romance read to others, if asked. This can be a quick, fun read for both the spooky season and the holiday season!

Thank you NetGalley and Erin Sterling for the arc of The Wedding Witch!! Was such a fun read! I loved the story telling, the multi povs and the pace was perfect!

The cover is beautiful. I loved the multiple and different view points of communication. The story was cute. I loved having all 3 brothers wrap up their stories. Love Sterling’s books. Would pick up anything she writes.

Witches. Time travel adventures. Sassy MMC. Ghosts. What more could you need from this lighthearted holiday read? Definitely need to go back and read book 1 and 2 (not sure how I missed these in the first place) because this was fast paced, cute, had a spicy scene I was not expecting and I currently need more of Erin Sterlings writing ASAP. Bowen and Tamsyn are definitely one of my fave couples of the year with their care free banter but especially because there was no weird trope in sight to cause a third act break up.
Be sure to check this one out when it releases October 8, 2024!
Thank you @Avonbooks and @HarperVoyagerUS for the ARC of this book for an honest review.

The Wedding Witch is the third book in the Ex Hex series and follows Tamsyn and Bowen, two characters that we know about from previous books. When they both end up attending the same witchy wedding, chaos ensues and they end up having to work together to get things figured out.
I went into this book only knowing that it followed Bowen, a character I have been intrigued by and have been wanting to learn more about. As I read it, I realized that this book felt very different from the other two books. Very little of this book takes place in Graves Glen, the small town the previous books are set in. While I did enjoy this installment more than the previous book, it was missing a lot of the charm and small town magic the other books had.
I enjoyed Tamsyn and Bowen together. They had obvious chemistry and seemed to play off of each other well. The main plot of this story is where I had the most issues. It just didn’t really make sense to me and the way things went in the last third of the book really went in a direction I didn’t like. There is a very specific thing that happens that I won’t spoil but it immediately felt weird to me.
This was a fun book. It’s a very fast read but with less magic than I would have liked. I think this is where I need to officially stop reading from this author. I have enjoyed a couple of her books but they mostly end up letting me down. While this one was a book that I had a good time reading for the more part, it was still lacking some of the charm I wanted from this series.

Absolutely loved the new addition to The Ex Hex Series! I felt like the book took a fun spin in being focused mainly during Christmas instead of Halloween but still had some overlying themes of both. Finally getting the IN on Bowen Penhallow was a fun twist and loved his grumpy self. It felt very true to the series and having a continuation on the fun and chaotic world of witches. Overall its my favorite of the three books so far! Loved the banter between them, the mysterious plot and the overall flow.
Bowen Penhallow, the third brother in the Penhallow series, has always been a loner, studying dark and ancient magic on a mountaintop in Wales. Tamsyn Bligh is not a witch, but she makes her living off of them. Previously seen in Book 1 of the Ex Hex!!!! She is a procurer and seller of magical items and now Bowen is an occasional customer. Put Bowen, Tamsyn and the Witchy Wedding of the Century together to create the perfect Christmas Witchy theme!

Super excited to get the ARC of The Wedding Witch. I really enjoyed the other books in the series and this one did not disappoint! Now I’m ready for spooky season!
Thanks NetGalley and Publisher for this opportunity!

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of the wedding witch.
I loved this book! Tan sun and Bowen were such great main characters. You could feel the chemistry through the pages. I also really liked the time travel choice.
It did feel like the end wrapped things up a little quickly but I would definitely recommend!

I’d just finished The Kiss Curse, the previous book in this series of stand-alone-but-better-together novels, and I was jonesing (no pun intended) for more. Lo and behold, I was able to get my hands on an eARC of The Wedding Witch and it was just what I needed!
Bowen Penhallow, the mysterious and antisocial third Penhallow brother, convinces Tamsyn Bligh, human and rare-magical-artifact acquirer, to work with him exclusively as he searches for a way to undo a spell that relegated his best friend to a ghostlike existence years ago. The two are clearly crushing on each other but keep things professional, until they unwittingly both attend the wedding weekend of Bowen’s ghostly friend’s ex-fiancée. The bride gets some serious cold feet and ends up casting a spell that sends Bowen and Tamsyn, well, at the risk of spoilers…let’s just say “somewhere else.” They must pretend to be newlyweds as they try to unravel the mystery and get back home.
I loved Tamsyn. Her inner monologues that didn’t always stay inner and her constant fantasy scenarios just added a kind of baseline humor that I appreciated. And the banter between her and Bowen was excellent. I also found it refreshing that Tamsyn and Bowen were both fairly upfront about their feelings for each other. Sure, internal pining is a staple of romance novels, but it was kind of fun to have two characters who weren’t being kept apart by a lack of communication or a contrived misunderstanding. These were two adults who were super into each other but trying to maintain professional boundaries while also trying to not get yeeted out of existence.
That said, while I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure, I could see an argument that it felt a bit short, perhaps more like a novella—precisely because of that lack of any disruptive conflicts or misunderstandings between our central couple. And readers who were more interested in the Jones women and/or Graves Glen might be disappointed by how little time we spend with them/there (though they are all in here). Finally, the big resolution works pretty well if you don’t think TOO hard about it, but ultimately I decided the journey was too enjoyable to get hung up on complicated logic (and also…it’s MAGIC).
Highly recommended fro fans of the first two books (The Ex Hex and The Kiss Curse) and anyone looking for those cozy spooky witchy vibes during the winter holiday months. (Think: The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.)
Thank you Avon and HarperCollins for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I really loved the first two books in this series as they were entertaining and filled with the kind of cozy fantasy romance that I was looking for. The Wedding Witch continues this with its humor, banter, and great chemistry between the leads, but I don’t think it has the strongest story. While magical hijinks have always been a central plot point for these books, having the characters time travel felt weird and I genuinely do not understand why it needed to be part of the plot. So much was happening in the present day scenes that were far more interesting than anything that happened in the past, and then when the characters do finally get back to the present, in the most Deus Ex Machina way possible, every problem and issue is suddenly resolved and all the conflict that was built up just kind of fizzles out into nothing. The time travel plot felt unnecessary and frankly the ending was abrupt and unearned, creating so many questions of ‘why?’ and ‘how?’ that the story tries to wave away with a ‘it’s magic!’ explanation that just makes no sense. Overall, I love this series, but this installment seems to be weaker than the previous two.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an e-copy of this novel.

Received as an ARC
A cute, cozy Romcom/mystery that wraps up the series in such a fun way. It is on par with the other two books in the series with good banter and a fun storyline full of witches and magic. I enjoyed getting to know both Bowen and Tamsyn better, since they only appear as side characters in the other books, and I loved how they complemented each other on their adventure to change the future. I'll miss the group from Graves Glen!

I’m going to have to go back and reread the first and then actually read the second, and reread this one. I was so excited when I first read the first book. But I didn’t quite feel the same this time around. I don’t know what really fell flat for me. I’m hoping that with a total reread I can get back into the universe! Because I AM interested and think I will like it, I just feel like I’m missing something.
Thanks to Avon for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A delightfully light and fluffy read! The characters were adorable and the story progressed at a good pace. Tamsyn and Bowen were both interesting characters and the time traveling aspect was a lot of fun. I read this book pretty quickly and had no idea it was part of a series so I am currently reading the first book. Even without reading the other books, I think this held up well on its own as a standalone.

I adored the first two books and have been so exited to read Bowen’s story; it was everything I could have asked for! The story felt like the comforting warm fuzzies of a Hallmark movie, mixed with the magical witchy vibes of Halloween. It had, tension, banter, cute nicknames in another language, mutual pining, forced proximity, one bed, time travel, parent trap plotting, pretending to be married, and butterfly inducing swoon (seriously, literal butterflies).
Bowen is now my favorite brother (but don’t tell Rhys or Wells). That gloriously grumpy mountain man has the sweetest side and is totally a goner for Tamsyn. He took one look at her and knew he was in trouble in the best way. I loved that at the very beginning of the book, we got the passing of the first year they knew each other through their text messages. It gave us a sense of their developing relationship and feelings without feeling too rushed by the time the real plot started. I was rooting for them right from the beginning, and when he was walking towards her after they both find themselves in the haunted house, I remember I literally felt my stomach swoop! The pull that they have toward each other was palpable. And the way that Bowen had been such a hermit but was so comfortable around her and wanted to be with her was adorable. At the same time, the way he was strong, protective, and took control made me melt… The spice was the perfect balance of tender and passionate.
I absolutely adored Bowen and Tamsyn’s love story and it was more than worth the wait!!! I can’t wait to see what is up next for Erin Sterling!
