The cover really drew me into this book. It’s so eye catching. This book was a cute, fast paced read. There wasn’t a second where i was bored as the author did an amazing job with character and world building. The relationship between the characters, Tansym and Bowen, was full of banter, adventure, security, and lust.

What a fun paranormal romance mystery! I have long looked forward to reading Bowen Penhallow's story and it was worth the wait. I loved the romance between him and Tamsyn. I enjoyed the fact that in this book, Tamsyn is given the chance to redeem herself from her first introduction into this series. The time travel was a fun element for Bowen's story as well. I also enjoyed the mystery of who hires Tamsyn to steal a magical brooch and what past wrong they have to work together to right in order to return to their own time. Reading this book was a little bittersweet for me as this is the last book for this series now that all of the Penhallow brothers have found their partners. But it was a nice resolution for the trilogy. If you like romantic mysteries with fantasy elements woven into the story, I recommend this book and the others in the series. Thank you NetGalley and Avon Harper Voyager for allowing me to read this e-galley in exchange for this honest review.

4.5 stars. I'm glad the author took the extra time she needed to finish this one, as it was definitely worth the wait. Bowen and Tamsyn might actually be my favorite couple of the series--which going into it I would never have guessed. This has all the fun magic of the first two books (plus time travel!), as well as a heartfelt and moving central romance between two somewhat lost people looking for connection. Although connected to books 1 and 2 of the series in that Bowen is the reclusive brother of Rhys and Wells, this can probably be read as a standalone since the focus shifts from Graves Glen, GA to Wales and the plot is mostly self-contained.

The mystery of what Bowen has been up to secluded in the Welsh countryside is revealed here: he has been trying desperately to find a magical solution to a spell gone wrong that caused his best friend from college to become a ghost-like spirit--neither dead nor alive, but something in between. Bowen enlisted the help of Tamsyn Bligh, the con woman who we met in The Ex-Hex, to try to track down various magical artifacts in his quest for a solution. They have clear chemistry from the start, but given their professional relationship neither one wants to act on their growing feelings. Fast forward a year into working together, and both end up at a stranger's wedding in Wales: Bowen attending as a favor to his not-so-dead friend, and Tamsyn while hunting for a valuable artifact with a substantial finder's fee. When the wedding party goes disastrously wrong, Bowen and Tamsyn find themselves sent back in time to 1957 and have to figure out why a magical artifact sent them back and what they have to accomplish to make it back to their own time.

Bowen and Tamsyn are excellent foils for each other. Tamsyn is more adventurous and outgoing, while Bowen is more reserved and gruff. However, they both care deeply about others and are looking for connections after living relatively isolated lives. Although Bowen is the middle brother, he comes off as more mature than Wells (and certainly Rhys). Rather than a flashy enemies-to-lovers story like his brothers had, Bowen's relationship with Tamsyn builds organically over the course of the story, and is actually really cute.

My only minor complaint--which suprrisingly did not ruin my overall enjoyment of the story--was that the ending felt rushed and did not make complete sense. It's all a bit "wibbly wobbly timey-wimey" to borrow from Doctor Who. I would have liked a little bit more explanation to fill in the gaps that the solution created.

I'm sad to see this series end, but I'm very much looking forward to what's next from the author!

Thank you to Avon/Harper Voyager and Netgalley for providing an ARC for review!

Love love love. Probably my favorite yet but all three of them have been great reads. When you laugh and get a bit of spice too it’s just wonderful.

I've read the entire collection of these books since The Ex Hex first published. This was so cute and such a fun, quick read. If you liked the first books in this series, you'll love this one. I do think the resolution was a bit rushed, but it isn't enough for me to give it less than five stars.

ARC Review:

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling is the third book in the Ex Hex series. This was such a great witchy romance. These characters are so likeable and I really enjoyed this story. The romance in this story was cute. The time traveling element was fun. This was a cute and quick witchy romance! This book is about the last Penhallow brother! He may be my favorite brother and I did enjoy his story. Loved seeing the characters from the first two books a little in this book. This was not my favorite story of the series but I still enjoyed it.

Bowen was determined, sweet, and intelligent! He is my favorite brother. Tamsyn was a witty and fun character. I loved their dynamic. I thought Bowen and Tamsyn had good chemistry and complimented one another. The magic, time traveling, ghosts, and mystery of this book was entertaining. I had to keep reading to figure out what was happening and I just loved Bowen and Tamsyn! The characters were funny. I loved that this was a dual POV. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend not just this book but the whole series if you love cute quick witchy romances.

Thank you Net Galley and @erinsterlingbooks for the ARC copy of The Wedding Witch! This whole series was soo much fun and I hope there will be more books in this world.

HAPPY READING

If you’ve read the rest of this series, I think you’ll find this charming and welcome all the connections. That being said, this really doesn’t read as a standalone. I have met Bowen a few times in the first two books so I was accustomed to his personality but by 40% in, this man is in love? Even I was jarred. And it’s not until 50% in that they get to the time travel? I think the timing and pacing of this book could have benefited from a rework.

I really adore this whole series. If you loved the first two this one is just as good, but my heart will always belong to The Ex Hex, which is my favorite.
I like the little twists and turns this one took, and I loved the two leads. It felt a little like the Christmas special in the series (which I liked! It switched it up a bit from the first two which has way more Fall vibes.)
Overall, pick this up! Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for this one.

In the third book of the series, readers return to Graves Glen. Bowen is attending a wedding on behalf of his cursed ghost friend Declan. Tamsyn is also at the wedding hunting for supernatural treasures. Bowen and Tamsyn cross paths and end up traveling through time together. They must figure out what their purpose is to return to the present before it’s too late while posing as a married couple at another wedding.

I have loved each book in this cozy series, and this one was such a fun addition. I loved Bowen and how smitten he is under his tough exterior. The time travel element added something unique to the book. I couldn’t get enough of the forced proximity and steamy moments they shared while posing as a married couple. I loved how the book ended and the final resolution of the curse. It was such a sweet way to wrap up the book! I’d love to say more but you’ll just have to read this series to find out. This book even has a touch of holiday magic added in to the usual Halloween fun!

Thank you to Erin Sterling and Avon for the ARC and the opportunity to be an early reader and reviewer.

This series remains cute and one of the most consistent in the genre. I especially loved the twist in this one and appreciate that Erin has managed to create three distinct plots that work fully as standalones but with each book also building upon the universe of the one before. A fun, surprisingly cozy read that gave off vibes reminiscent of some of my favorite mysteries.

Was this my favorite of the series? Yes!
Was the wait for this one worth it? I'd say yes!
Best Friend Ghost? Say less!

I fear I might be insufferable about this book, in how much I'm gonna recommend it....so if you know me I'm sorry.
This book had a little bit of everything in it, such as time travel, comedy, drama and it also counts as holiday read! Erin Sterling always writes characters that I love (even though I was not fond of Tamsyn in the Kiss Curse). I really enjoyed the chemistry between Tamsyn and Bowen, they are for sure my favorite couple in this series!
Overall, this is a fun and quick read that is super cute and cozy. I would definitely recommend to anyone who ask (again I apologize for how much I may talk about this book to my fellow librarians and patrons)

I enjoyed this book, especially the second half, but I feel like it was way too short.
I enjoyed the mystery and the time travel aspect of this book, and I thought that Tamsyn and Bowen were cute together and they are such lovable characters.
However, the thing that is keeping this book from being better in my eyes is its length and depth.
I thought that their relationship wasn't really fleshed out at all before they're send back to 1957. I would've loved to see more about their relationship as "coworkers", maybe a bit about how Tamsyn has a past history with getting involved with a former coworker and it ending badly or something to give merit to her not wanting to get involved thing. Also, why did Bowen say that he loves her so early? We as readers have no past history besides their texts (which are super cute by the way) to have an established attraction/interest that would even remotely resemble love. Anyway, I did enjoy their relationship and how the book ended, I just didn't feel as attached to them as I could have.

This was really cute! I have not read the first two in the series before reading this one and I had no trouble following along in the world or with the other characters! This is centered around Yule (Christmas) but wasn’t overwhelming which I really loved.

I did love both of the characters, Tamsyn specifically. Bowen was great too, I just wish we had a little bit more on his past and delved deeper into his character and I would love to see why he is the loner witch who lives in the mountains. As much as I did love Tamsyn I also wanted more from her individually and who she is outside of the jobs that she does. Despite this both characters were very lovable!

Their relationship it was SO cute. In my opinion them loving each other came too fast and I wanted them to get to know each other a bit more before them coming to that conclusion. However, him calling her nicknames in a different language and the angry love confession really got me.

The plot was great, I loved the time travel aspect and I was hooked on what was going to happen next. I will say that the beginning 30% of the book I found really slow and was mostly there to set up the relationship and the plot started around 40%, but after that I could not put the book down.

Overall, super cute romance and the time travel was so fun!

Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the ARC.

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling is the third in the Ex Hex series, and they just seem to keep getting better and better! This one was definitely my fave. We follow the third Penhallow brother, Bowen, and professional procurer of magical items extraordinaire, Tamsyn Bligh, as they search for important artifacts. Lead by their individual motivations, their paths end up crossing in a very crazy and hexy way. Forced to work together to get back to their lives, the tension between these two is palpable! Bowen may be my favorite Penhallow brother. He is kind, smart, and determined! Tamsyn is fun and witty, and even without magic, she's a force to reckon with. They are a great match!
Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley, for early access to read The Wedding Witch in exchange for an honest review. We're out of Penhallow brother... are we moving to cousins next? There's a next right??

A Witchy Yuletide wedding in the Welsh country side brings Bowen Penhallow and Tasmyn Bligh together once again. They’re there for very different reasons but end up having to work together due to a very strong spell combined with a wedding mishap that transports them back in time to 1958. They have to face off with the origins of Tywylll Houses haunting, suspicious witches and somewhere in the middle of all the chaos they might be falling in love. The loner witch obsessed with ancient magic and old artifacts and a witty and outgoing business woman together, who could’ve thought they’d end up together.

I devoured this book in a day, its so different from the other books in the series and I couldn’t wait to see where the story went next. Its a good mix of character and plot driven storylines, the romance, Bowen opening up about his failed spell, Tasmyn looking for the brooch and them working on getting back to 2024. I found the element of time travel is used in a very impactful way by Sterling. Tasmyn and Bowen have amazing chemistry and I literally squealed when the people in 1958 pegged them as newlyweds and made them share a room.

This is one of my favorite romantasy series as someone who’s a big romance reader. It’s not to heavy on the witchcraft and magic of it all which makes it really easy to read. Although it still stands out from what I usually read. The characters are super likable for the most part, there are definitely some villains to root against. It’s spicy, told from a dual POV and has overlapping storylines. Each Penhallow brother has his own book now with some incredible fmcs and i think this might just be my favorite one.

This is a great read for the romance readers who wants to spice things up around the holidays with a witchy read. As well as fans of romantasy and paranormal books.

I’d been waiting for Bowen’s story and it did not disappoint. Bowen was grumpy and broody but a secret teddy bear. I loved his loyalty and his POV and watching him go crazy over Tamsyn.

They were total opposites but very endearing together and really understood each other. I liked that they are quasi-friends/co workers for about a year before the story really begins so it felt more like a semi friends to lovers romance.

Really a perfect cozy rom com to curl up to!

I really liked this one but I didn't get as much witchy vibes as I have come to expect with this series. I did really love these characters and the mystery they had to solve to return them selves back to the present. It did end feeling a bit unresolved, maybe there will be a book about Emerald, because there were a lot of questions I was left with. It is set at Christmas/Yule but it wasn't an overwhelming holiday read, it could honestly be read whenever. It is a short and sweet read, under 300 pages, fast paced and easily held my attention. This is a case of insta-love mostly because of how short it is so if you aren't a fan of that, this might be the one for you. This is a must read for anyone who wants to continue the Ex-Hex series or anyone who likes witch/time travel/quick and easy reads.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I’m obsessed that this series has gotten BETTER with every book. I loved Bowen and his remoteness and ability to cave for Tamsyn. Out of all the books I found this plot line to be the most interesting and honestly, the most laugh out loud.

There was an air of mystery to the book, trying to figure out why they went back in time and how would they move forward back to present day. I honestly wish the book was longer and that’s my reason for holding back five stars. I felt the ending was a little rushed and I wish we would’ve had more explanation for how Declan came to be, along with Emerald.

Overall I would recommended especially if you’d read others in this series but it COULD stand alone.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a cute (…and a tad bit spicy) holiday-themed witchy romance that overall, I enjoyed. I was not familiar with the Ex-Hex series before reading this one - so it’s safe to say it CAN be read as a standalone. Will I be going back and reading the first two? Yes, probably. But not having those side-characters characters backgrounds didn’t affect the plot or ease of reading at all.

Erin Sterling/Rachel Hawkins—girl you’ve done it again!

I love this series! It’s so fun and so entertaining. Banter is always on point and the characters are so enjoyable to follow. I love the story of Bowen and Tamsyn way more than I could have ever expected. Dare I say they are my new favorite couple?!

Time travel, spicy scenes, magic, ghosts, weddings, family drama—this book has it all!

So much fun reading and enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you NetGalley, Erin Sterling (Rachel Hawkins), and Avon & Harper Voyager for the ARC. It’s been a joy!
