Woooooo! Was I really looking forward to this one? Heck yes! I adored the previous books in this series,
This one however, oof. I feel like things are kind of burnt out here. The insta love was a turn off for me. None of the characters felt different to me. I could have mistaken the main characters for past love interests very easy.

I’m a big fan of Erin Sterling’s other books, but this one fell short for me. I really loved the spooky season vibes this one gave off, but I felt the main relationship was way underdeveloped, and just came out of nowhere. It felt a bit rushed, and I also think the time traveling aspect didn’t quite work in this book.

I really adored this world. This wasn't my favorite of the trio but I would still recommend people read it. I don't always love a time travel storyline but I did enjoy Bowen and Tamsyn's. Also, I am always a sucker for a Christmas romance.

🎧 THE WEDDING WITCH (The Ex Hex # 3) by Erin Sterling
Genre: contemporary romance
My Goodreads review: “not great but good, perfect spooky szn vibes”
⭐️⭐️⭐️
💭: this book was exactly as i expected it to be and had the same spooky witchy vibes as the first two in the series. I tend to forget every single detail about the plots of these books as soon as i finish them. This one i did enjoy more than the first two bec i felt like it had more of a plot and we got to know the characters better. It also lowkey had a Christmas szn tie-in so might be a solid november read. The vibes were good but i wouldn’t read this any other time but Halloween (or in this case Christmas) and only to get in the spirit.

I'm so sad this series is over!! This was the perfect finale to this trilogy. I love the Christmas, I mean Yule, vibes. And Bowen and Tamsyn are so perfect!

The time traveling, quest like story elements of this worked for me. Where I found it lacking was in the relationship development. Part of this is because we don’t get much from the year long buildup—the couple of email chapters were banter filled and fun, but that didn’t give a solid enough foundation for believing in the relationship. They both decide “we can’t have a relationship” for xyz reasons and then the turnaround on that idea is almost instantaneous and now they’re also both in love. That was hard to grasp because there was no real buildup or even time spent with their relationship to make it believable. I also struggled with the resolution. I understand that there’s an element of suspension of belief in a book like this one, but I think having some explanation wouldn’t have been out of place for the way things wrap up.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon for this ARC!

I feel like this had a lot of plot holes and was a bit confusing. This really shouldn’t have surprised me because the first book in the series was riddled with plot holes. I ended up really loving the second book, so I was really excited for this book because it was the final book in the series. Overall it was fine, but it was kind of boring.
Thank you to Avon for the eARC in exchange for a review.

I will gladly read anything by this author, whether it be Erin Sterling's cozy witchy romances or Rachel Hawkins's mystery/thrillers. The Wedding Witch is the third book in the Graves Glen series, following the third Penhallow brother. Because Bowen is somewhat a rogue brother, this book feels different from the rest of the series. It is the only book primarily set outside Graves Glen, as Bowen is usually depicted in the series off researching rare magical artifacts and obscure spellcraft. The rest of the series has a squarely fall/Halloween vibe, where as this book is equal parts Christmas holiday romance and somewhat witchy Halloween stuff. The pacing of this book is also a little uneven; there's a lot of setup since the two leads have spent the rest of the series largely in the margins. The story is largely self-contained, but the subtle tie ins to the wider world of the series and its canon are really fun. It's also a time travel story, a premise that is particularly difficult to land. The rushed resolution and conclusion of this story are more apparent due to the challenges of the time travel plot. Even so, I was delighted by Bowen and Tamsyn's story. The characters (both the two leads and the extensive supporting cast) and their chemistry are a real treat.

I LOVED this book. Erin Sterling does such a great job weaving an intriguing story that readers will fall in love with like I did!! I would highly recommend this read to anyone who loves fantasy romance books!!

Erin Sterling, known for her charming and magical rom-coms, enchants readers once again with The Wedding Witch. This novel is a delightful blend of romance, humor, and witchy mischief that will leave you spellbound from the first chapter.
The story follows Vivienne Jones, a witch struggling to balance her magical heritage with the demands of modern life. When her best friend’s wedding spirals into chaos thanks to a series of magical mishaps, Vivienne must join forces with her ex, the infuriating yet irresistible Rhys Penhallow, to save the day. What begins as a mission to salvage the wedding quickly turns into a second-chance romance full of sparkling chemistry, witty banter, and heartfelt moments.
Sterling excels at crafting a cozy, whimsical atmosphere. The small-town setting, complete with quirky characters and magical surprises, is as enchanting as the spellbinding romance at the heart of the story. Fans of Sterling’s previous works, like The Ex Hex, will appreciate her signature humor and lighthearted tone. Yet, The Wedding Witch also delves deeper into themes of forgiveness, self-discovery, and the courage to embrace love after heartbreak.
The pacing is brisk, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and swoon-worthy scenes to keep readers engaged. The magical elements add a fun twist, and the wedding hijinks provide a perfect backdrop for the characters’ emotional journeys. Sterling’s writing is witty and heartfelt, making this a thoroughly enjoyable read.
If you’re looking for a feel-good romantic comedy with a touch of magic, The Wedding Witch is a must-read. It’s perfect for fans of witchy romances, second-chance love stories, or anyone who believes in the magic of happily ever after.

Tamsyn and Bowen’s chemistry is undeniable, making their every interaction a delight to read. The magical world of the Graves Glen series becomes even more enchanting as a search for a mysterious artifact at a witch society wedding takes an unexpected turn, sending them back in time. Along the way, they uncover surprising truths about the future (their present) that add some interesting depth to their journey.
The story blends Halloween spookiness with Christmas cheer, creating a festive and enchanting atmosphere. While the romance between Tamsyn and Bowen moves quickly—from strangers to boss and employee, to friends, and finally to lovers—some stages feel a little rushed, leaving room for more development. I still had so much fun reading their interactions. There were plenty of swoon-worthy moments.
The side characters truly shine, adding humor and heart to the story. The family dynamics are rich and complex, with plenty of drama and charm.
Despite some underdeveloped parts, The Wedding Witch is a fun, magical read with plenty of charm and good vibes.

Rating: 4 stars

This was weak compared to the other two in the series. i didn’t feel as attached to the characters, and the story felt clunky and hard to follow.

Upbeat, whimsical, fast-paced, and oh so funny, this holiday entry into the Graves Glen series is a perfect kick off to the holiday season!

THE WEDDING WITCH by Erin Sterling is nothing but a fun, quick, escapist romance. The plot is simple, the characters charming and quirky, and the action fast and furious. Put that all together with some very steamy but satisfying sex scenes, and it's a little slice of romance perfection. While the release date of THE WEDDING WITCH was October 2024, I read it in December. Reading it around the same time of year the story occurs added a little special something to my reading experience, as it is a Yule story as well as a witchy romance. THE WEDDING WITCH was a lot of harmless fun that eased the stress of the season and made the dark nights a little cozier.

This book is the third in the series and I really enjoyed reading Bowen Penhallow story finally. Bowen is a loner who feels somewhat on the outside of his family. Tamsyn Bligh is not a witch but she procures magical objects for a living. Bowen hires Tamsyn to work for him exclusively and sparks fly as there is time travel, forced proximity and one bed tropes. I enjoyed the romance and the Christmas setting was fun.

I enjoyed this last book of the series. The first book will always be my favorite but this one came in second for me. I do wish more time had been spent on the romance.

4.5 ⭐️
I ended up really enjoying this one! The third in the Ex Hex series, I have to say this is probably my favorite. From the characters and setting to the plot, this one was the most fun and engaging to read. Each of the Ex Hex books are fine as a standalone, but it is always more fun when you’ve read them all and understand how everyone is connected.

✨Have you attended a winter wedding?✨
(Fun fact: my friend @whatkelliereads had a December wedding and it was beautiful!)
This book was so cute. We have
✨Ghosts
✨Witches
✨Loner Men who like to stay on the mountain top
✨Thieving females
Turns out our main character Tasmyn keeps having some dirty dreams about her client Bowen and they end up invited to the same wedding…. And then get stuck in some time travel!
Tasmyn has a hard time keeping the relationship business focused and a few spots of mistletoe aren’t helping her case.
This story is full of banter, pretty light hearted and adventurous! Was super cute for a short cozy read with some interesting characters.

Thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an advanced readers copy of this book. (Sorry it took me so long to get to reading it.)
A Back to the Future meets Hallmark Christmas (ope, sorry! Yule) rom-com at its finest. As the third installment of the series, we get to follow Bowen Penhallow as he falls in love with the girl he's hired to find magical artifacts and they get blooped back to 1957. Together they have to right some wrongs of the past to avoid disappearing into the ether. Newsflash -- they succeed!
It was a fun romp, typical grumpy/sunshine vibes. I would have liked to see a little more in the character development, but the banter was top notch. Overall, it's a solid 3 stars from me. (A few dings for lack of originality with the plot.)
