I’ve read all three books in the Graves Glen series, and The Wedding Witch is my new favorite. It’s the perfect book for November, capturing those cozy fall and winter vibes. The setting—complete with a glamorously spooky castle—was atmospheric, and the time-tracking element was surprisingly well done. I loved the main and supporting characters, and Tamsyn and Bowen’s romance was both endearing and perfectly timed, though a few of the spicy moments were a bit too much for my taste. The book was a fast read, which worked well, though the ending felt a little rushed with a few plot holes. Overall, if you’ve enjoyed the previous books in the series, this one is definitely worth reading!

✨ Review ✨ The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling

Thanks to Avon and #netgalley for the gifted advanced copy/ies of this book!

The final book in this series, this one was my favorite -- for its feisty characters, for a holiday time travel adventure, and because it broke the mold of the previous two books.

The two main characters have some serious chemistry, like magnets that can't quite resist pulling together. When they both end up at the same place for Yule and for different reasons, it's fun to see how they come together.

This is full of a brilliant cast of quirky and fun characters that you'll absolutely fall in love with! I think this is where Sterling finally comes into her own in this genre. I loved it!

I enjoyed 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙭-𝙃𝙚𝙭 by this author but unfortunately this book in the series was a miss for me. Insta-love is one of my least favorite tropes and the plot itself seemed to be all over the place. I also felt like there was a lot of unnecessary cursing in the dialogue. I don't mind cursing, but for me it needs to be for effect. I've yet to read 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚, and didn't dislike this one enough to keep me from reading it. I may keep it on my TBR until Fall though to better appreciate the witchy vibes.

I waited until Christmas to read this book, and I’m so glad I did! What a fun mix of spooky season and holiday fun!

The Wedding Witch combined time travel, family drama, and romance all in one story, and it worked so well. I loved the chemistry between Tamsyn and Bowen and the spice scenes between them were as hot as a five alarm fire! My only problem was the very tidy ending without a ton of details to explain it. But still a very fun read!

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley for the digital ARC.

*The Wedding Witch* by Erin Sterling is a delightful and charming read that combines romance, magic, and a touch of whimsy. The story centers around a wedding planner who also happens to be a witch, struggling to balance her magical abilities with her personal life. The mix of enchanting spells, romance, and family drama creates a fun and lighthearted atmosphere that makes it hard to put down. Sterling's writing is engaging and full of heart, with well-drawn characters that are easy to root for. The romance is sweet, with just the right amount of tension, and the magical elements add a unique twist to the typical wedding story. Overall, it’s a perfect blend of cozy and captivating, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a feel-good, charming read.

I could not wait for Bowen and Tamsyn's story, and I'm happy to report The Wedding Witch did not disappoint. It was a delightfully witchy read, with Bowen and his ghostly BFF and Tamsyn seeking out magical objects it was impossible to put down. I enjoyed that they were taken back through time and had to work through all the things so they could fix a moment in the future. Highly recommend!

A good blend of the darker seasons ...
The Wedding Witch, the third installment in Erin Sterling's Ex Hex series, is a charming mix of romance, magic, and time-traveling chaos set during the Winter Solstice in Wales. Brooding witch Bowen Penhallow, content in his solitude, meets his match in Tamsyn Bligh, a clever procurer of magical artifacts. When a wedding spell goes awry, the two are transported to a haunted Yuletide celebration in 1957, forcing them to unravel secrets, confront ghosts, and navigate their undeniable chemistry.
Sterling delivers a delightful grumpy-sunshine romance with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and just the right touch of magic. Fans of the series will enjoy familiar cameos, while newcomers will be enchanted by this cozy, witchy romcom.

This book is a fun and entertaining story. I was in the mood for something light hearted with a mystical rom-com base. "The Wedding Witch" does not disappointment. I appreciated the chemistry between the two main and characters. It was fun to have the tables turned and have the male protagonist possess the magic powers. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and hope for a sequel soon.

I appreciate the chance to read the final book in this trilogy. I was not a huge fan of the first but loved the second story. So I felt like this could be the tie breaker. I will say I'm biased because I wasn't espically excited about this brothers story. I liked the idea of the love interest but she came off as kind of rude and selfish. It felt like we were put in the middle of this relationship with choppy timeline and massive chunks of time just taken out at the beginning through text messages. Which is ironic because this books main plot is about time travel and changing the future. I just felt like the characters were not developed enough and unmemorable. I felt like we had a sexual attraction from the beginning but the emotional connection never fully developed for me. I appreciate the chance to finish this series and can't wait for the next series for this author.

This was my favorite of the Ex Hex series, it was totally delightful and a wonderful holiday read!

This is the first of the series to really take us away from Graves Glen, and while I’ve enjoyed that setting, the time travelling aspect of this made it feel more magical than the rest. I adored Tamsyn so, so quickly. She’s witty and fun and confident and assured. Next to Bowen, with his stoicism and aloofness and general tendency to be removed from the world, they just made such an amazing dynamic that is very opposites attract in a lot of ways but works perfectly overall. I loved returning to the characters from the previous books, but I really, really loved meeting ancestors when the duo goes back in time. Erin Sterling found a way for this to feel seamless but also appropriately different from what Tamsyn and Bowen know from their time, and the humor remains charming and laugh out loud funny.

The only thing I’m knocking off a half star for is a very common mishap for me in PNR/witchy rom-coms, and that’s just that the ultimate conflict of the magic and story was settled much too quickly and without nearly enough explanation for my tastes. I think this is because I’m really a fantasy reader at heart, and it probably won’t bother folks who are mostly here for the romance. If you like witchy vibes, gothic mansions, holiday antics, time travel, and a dash of spice to go along with the overall romance and charm, I definitely think you’ll enjoy this! Thank you to NetGalley and Avon & Harper Voyager for this eArc!

Quite possibly my favorite of the series?! Perfect festive Yule setting, time travel, magic, humor, witches, two people falling in love.

Special thanks to the author & @avonbooks for my gifted copy‼️ I’ve only read book 1 in the series which is still my favorite. Book 3 was cool and since I haven’t read the previous one I can say this can be read as a standalone didn’t seem like I was missing out on anything. But we follow another member of the Penhallow family this time it involves time travel which I did like. I also enjoyed how madly in love Bowen and Tamsyn were it was giving enemies-to-lovers initially and took them getting lost in the past trying to save Bowen’s existence for them to finally act on it. The sex scenes hated them all the author was just cocking it up lol. Overall, this was an okay read I’ll need to read book 2 to judge the entire series as a whole.

This was such a cute and fun winter read. The final book in the Ex Hex series, this book has everything: friends to lovers, time travel and magic. Lots of joy and poignant moments. The two leads are adorable together and the cast of characters that surround them are also great! Did it potentially wrap up too neatly? Maybe. But did I care? Heck no. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a witchy Yuletide book.

The Wedding Witch is very different than the other two books in the series. I did not feel as connected to the main characters as I have in the past. They seemed to have some chemistry but it felt rushed to me. It was cute and a great read to curl up next to the fire on a cold day.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Avon and Harper Voyager, Avon for an ARC of this book.

I wasn't sure when to read this - I started at Halloween and then I decided to wait until Christmas season. I felt it worked better then since the book starts with mistletoe and there are yule celebrations. I have really enjoyed this series but this one was different because it wasn't set in a cute American witch town and it was pretty spicy too.

I love The Ex Hex series, and The Wedding Witch perfectly wrapped up the trilogy. The banter between Bowen and Tamsyn *chef's kiss*. I really enjoyed the time travel, it really made this story stand out from the first two. The only thing I would have loved to see was a romance build-up. I felt like it went from 0-100, which ended up being fine, just a personal preference!

Okay this was super different than the rest of the series! I liked the uniqueness and that our main character was human but involved in the witch world. I wish we saw more of the characters from the previous books. We just got a tiny little hint of them. I really liked the time travel aspect and I loved the ending!

2.5 rounded down. This book isn't bad, it just isn't for me (which, considering it involves time travel, is definitely saying something). The way the relationship develops so quickly and mostly via email feels like a cop out and makes it really difficult to invest in the romance. Insta-love on steroids. Also I'm not sure the ending really makes sense?

If you enjoyed Sterling's other books, this will be right up your alley! And I loved that it was set during Yule! I feel like that's kind of a rare occurrence in witchy rom coms. I will say though, I kind of felt that the pacing in this installation wasn't quite as strong as the other books.

This was a cute book with more spice than sugar. I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites, but it was enjoyable enough. I liked it about as much as I liked the first one in the series. (I haven't read the second one yet and am not sure if I ever will. I wouldn't mind reading it, I guess, but it's not an absolute must read for me.) All in all, I'd say this was a simple, cozy, semi-festive book. It's a decent enough read if you're looking for a book with both fall and Christmas vibes.

I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.
