This was the perfect ending to this series. The fall elements, the fall festivals, THE GNOMES. The magic was again magical enough but not too tough to understand. Gus, a magician that can’t magic and Sirena, a kitchen witch that can no longer cook had amazing character development. They are fully fleshed out in a way that I could feel connected to them. And soulmates 🥹 like legit soulmates.

Such a cute and whimsy festive read for the month. This was a first to me by this author, and so of course I had no incoming knowledge of Freya Grove but really enjoyed how fun the town was! Sirena and Gus are utterly adorable - I love seeing a plus sized FMC in a witchy romance! I truly don't recall ever reading that before and found myself loving it thoroughly, especially how Gus just completely adored her. Their chemistry was fun and exciting and that dialogue? So cute, and witchy and just perfect for the book. The cooking content was also a delight and I found my mouth watering on more than one occasion! Perfect read for the season!
Thanks to Celestine Martin and NetGalley for the Arc in exchange for my honest review!

Deja Brew seemed like the ultimate fall read so I was so excited to pick it up.
I have to start by saying that I did not realize that this was the third book in a series and that may have influenced my thoughts on the book in the end.
Deja Brew follows a kitchen witch named Sirena. Sirena's life is not going as planned and on Halloween night she wishes that she could redo October over again and she gets her wish! Sirena wants to redo October by having more fun and working towards her goal of becoming a chef in a restaurant again.
Gus is a magician who also lives in Freya Grove. Gus has stopped performing his magic on stage and on TV. Now he works at the Freya Grove Historical Society and he loves it, much to the chagrin of his mother who wants him to start performing again. Gus has gone through a divorce and his time back in Freya Grove has helped him see who he is and what he wants to do with his life.
Gus becomes a large part of Sirena's life in her chance to relive October. Gus commits to helping Sirena have fun and he also helps her get comfortable with cooking again by working with her at the historical society. Sirena and Gus like each other, but both of them also have a lot of their own things going on that prevent them from committing to each other.
Deja Brew has all of the fall/holiday vibes that I expected, which was great. While I wanted to have fun with this story and ultimately love it, that was not the case. I think my main issue with this story was that there was SO much going on. There was magic and fantasy elements, in-depth backstories, two weddings, career path confusion/troubles, family member side stories, and so much more. Frankly, I think it was just too much. Like I said, I did not read the other two books in the series and that could be why all of this seems like a lot as I think previous character's stories are continued within this book, but wow! I think way too much was happening and that made the book flow so strangely. There was just one thing after another and the overall plot just seemed all over the place. Instead of working with the plot of Sirena and Gus things just kept getting added and the plot just seemed to stretch wider and wider. Aspects of the book mentioned in the beginning randomly showed up again near the end but were completely lost in the middle because so much else happened in between. The magic aspects specifically just popped in and out of nowhere. There were times I completely forgot that the book had fantastical elements and then would be reminded as they were randomly laid on heavy and then forgotten again.
This book is primarily a romance and while I understand Gus and Sirena as a couple, the romance seemed to never build up, it was just there all along but they just weren't getting together. From the first chapter they like each other so readers never really see them falling in love, you just know very early on that Gus likes Sirena and Sirena likes Gus (even though she thinks they can't be together??). I also felt like the dialogue and the romance in general were just a little off. I guess I'm saying I never got lost in this story, I was consistently aware that this was a book and that someone wrote this story, which is an obvious truth but when I read I want to get lost in it. I want to be able to imagine the story in my head and see how everything plays out. Instead I was just constantly wondering why all of these different aspects were included and why they were important and why the plot was so all over the place.
I do not think this was a bad book, but it just did not come together very well in my opinion. If you want a romance with cozy fall vibes, magic, and a focus on family, you may love this. If you have read the first two books in the series you will probably love it even more. I would still recommend it, but I would be aware that this book does have a lot going on. You can tell the author loves the world and the characters they have created and that in and of itself lends to the story overall.
e-ARC provided by the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I honestly love Freya Grove and the sweet magic within this small town. Sirena and Gus’ romance might just be favorite of the three books. I love how they both work together to get through their conflicts and fall in love in the process. This was a cute and cozy romance.
Expect: Secret crushes, dual POVs, second chances, magic, spicy scenes and so much more!

This was a cute pumpkin spice, fall vibe of a witchy, magical romance. If you missed out on fall activities like I did this year, this book will immerse you in the sights, sounds, and tastes of fall. I enjoyed being back in this magical town filled with witches, magicians and all kinds of magical creatures, but I wish there had been more appearances of the supernatural creatures and more magical elements.
Compared to the other 2 books in the series this one felt flatter to me on the romance aspect and I had a harder time connecting to Gus and Sirena as a couple.
I alternated from an ebook to the audio and preferred the ebook because I didn’t feel like the narrators were matched in speed or volume which had me making constant adjustments as I listened which became distracting.
Overall it was a satisfying end to the series even though it wasn’t my favorite of the trilogy.

Fun autumn read. It brings the romance, the coffee, and the Fall vibes! What more could you ask for? Thank you netgalley for the ARC opportunity!

This was a cute book! It is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone even though I think I would have liked it a little better if I had the previous in the series. It is a cozy paranormal romance, very sweet and a decently quick read.

Deja Brew by Celestine Martin is a delightfully cozy, sweet & spicy witchy romance that feels like a cup of tea during the fall.
This is book #3 in the Elemental Love series & can easily be read as a standalone. However, the first book in the series, Witchful Thinking made me fall in love with this series & this magical town, so I do recommend starting there.
Deja Brew is great for fans of…
🧡 Witchy Romance
🧡 Kitchen Witch x Magician
🧡 Small Town
🧡 Groundhog’s Day (Month)
I was so excited to return to this small town & everything in entails. I loved the family aspects that are woven throughout the novel. I adored the sisters’ bond, their unwavering support & love for each other. I thought the kitchen witch aspect was super interesting & a brought a fresh spin to the witchy romance subgenre space.
I also listened to the audiobook. I loved how they brought the characters to life. I listened at 2x speed & it was the perfect listen for my ADHD mind. I really enjoyed the narrators & appreciated how they narrated this story.
I cannot wait to see what this author writes next & I am excited to read more of their work.
Massive thanks to NetGalley & Forever books for the gifted copies, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

This is the 2nd book that I have read by Celestine Martin. I missed the 1st book in this series. I will have to go back and read it. It was nice to dove back into Celestine Martin’s cozy magical world. With Halloween approaching this is a great book to read. Sirena is an ex-celebrity chef and a witch with the month October having its way with her. Sirena makes a wish and she finds herself reliving the month of October. Gus is a former reality star and magician. For Gus he thinks that his love life is null and void since his wife left him. Sirena and Gus are great together. So, you want to know what happens when a former reality star magician and ex-celebrity chef witch get together pick up your copy of “Deja Brew”. The title is so fitting to the storyline.
I received an ARC via NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

This was my first book by Celestine Martin, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! While I didn’t realize Deja Brew is part of a series, I found it easy to dive into the story without prior knowledge of the previous books. The world-building and character development were engaging, making it a delightful read.
The plot was intriguing and kept me turning pages, blending elements of mystery with a dash of magic that added an exciting twist. I appreciated the depth of the characters, who felt relatable and well-crafted. Martin's writing style is fluid and inviting, drawing you into the narrative seamlessly.
Overall, Deja Brew left me eager to explore more of Martin’s work, and I’m curious about the earlier installments in the series. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, engaging read with a touch of the supernatural!

This was adorable for Fall! A cute read with coffee, fall vibes and a sweet romance. This book was a very fun read with plenty of banter and characters to melt your heart!

This was my first read in this series and I want to go back to the others. A must read for anyone in need of a witchy escape.

Celestine Martin is swiftly becoming one of my favorite authors for cozy magical romance. The latest entry in the Elemental Love series is an adorable romp about second chances. August and Sirena were in a rut after having had one of the most trying months of their lives. One that went so poorly that kitchen witch Serena cast a second chance spell that allows her to start the month of October over from the beginning, its with this second chance that Sirena and Gus a magician whose lost his spark develop a friendship that swiftly turns to love. Before the two of them realize it that are on a journey together that enables them to correct the mistakes of their past and finding out who they truly want to be in this world.
I loved every moment of reading this novel both the main cast and the side character interact to create a strong and unique reading experience.

I absolutely love the Elemental Love series from Celestine Martin, so when book 3 was announced, I was so hopeful that we'd get Sirena's story! Deja Brew is a cozy, cute, witchy romance centering around a kitchen witch who, after making a wish for another shot at some missed opportunities, gets to redo the whole month of October. Throughout the month, Sirena begins to confront what she initially thought was a focus and priority in life versus the things that truly bring her joy. I loved Sirena and Gus as main characters and Celestine Martin absolutely knows how to write such relatable and lovable MCs.
If you haven't read any of these books yet, I highly recommend you check them out. While they can be read as standalones, there are references to previous books that contain spoilers, so I would suggest starting with the first book (Witchful Thinking).
Thank you so much to Forever and NetGalley for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Have you visited Celestine Martin’s Freya Grove, NJ yet? It’s a mystical, magical, slightly wacky place with not your ordinary run of the mill citizens. Well, I guess they’re ordinary if that’s where you live. Running into magicians, witches, gnomes, fairies, merman, and the like at the local coffee shop is par for the course in Freya Grove. The fact that Martin’s writing brings these characters to life in the most natural, normal way is part of the reason I so enjoy her books. She makes me believe this place exists, immerses me into the lives of her characters in such a way that I don’t have to suspend disbelief to actually believe.
Haven’t we all had moments in our lives when we wish we had a do-over? Sirena sure does and what she gets is a complete month to figure out how to get her life - and herself - together. Gus knows something feels off but can’t quite put his finger on what it is. What he knows for sure is that the entrance of Sirena into his life is pushing all his happy buttons and he wants more.
I love these two. Their chemistry is off the charts but it’s more than that. I love the respect they have for one another, the fact that they’ve both been betrayed (though in different ways), the care they show, the family dynamics both are dealing with, the fun they have together, and the deepening feelings for one another that everyone sees but them. I like the personal growth they both experience.
An important part of the story is the ever deepening sense of urgency that builds through the month, the tension of not knowing what the end of October will bring. Will Sirena get her kitchen witch skills back? Will she discover her path, the one that will bring her success but, more importantly, happiness and fulfillment? Will Gus finally come to terms with the baggage battering at his soul? With family expectations, his failed marriage, and the dueling parts of his personality? Can good-time magician Gus peacefully coexist with serious-minded historian Gus? So many questions. Martin takes her characters, and readers, on a deliciously delightful journey to the answers.
If you enjoy witchy romance (Halloween is just around the corner) with an opposites-attract trope, sizzling chemistry, Black love, big-girl body positivity, quirky characters, magical beings, complex family dynamics, humor, heart, and happy endings, give Deja Brew a try. I also recommend books one and two in the series: Witchful Thinking and Kiss and Spell.
4.5 stars

Another great adventure with my favorite New Jersey witches, but this time with magical snafus, a month of do-overs and unpredictable wishes.

This is the 3rd book in the freya grove series following the Caraway ladies and it met all my expectations. Cute af cinnamon roll MMC, magic, and time travel! What else could u want!

I love a seasonal read, and Deja Brew was a great choice for Halloween! It's got all the elements of an autumnal story: fall festivals, apple cider, and plenty of spice (pumpkin and bedroom). Add in Sirena the kitchen witch, August the magician, and a time loop! A great choice for someone wanting a little magical read before Halloween.

🍂🥺 This book was so cute 🥺🍂
Deja Brew is magical and witchy and full of love. I couldn't ask for a better fall read this October.
Sirena is a kitchen witch 👩🍳🧹 trying to rekindle her passion for cooking -as well as land a job at a high end restaurant. Gus is a magician who's over his family's reality tv show and touring, finding a passion instead at the Freya Grove Historical Society. 🏛️
Gus has maybe had too much fun.. whereas Sirena hasn't had enough. Time to make a deal 🤝✨ Gus is going to show Sirena how to have fun, and yes I'm wiggling my eyebrows! 👀
I love the way these characters show so much care for each other, and their friends and family. They are SO supportive of each others struggles and help each other work through it. 🥰
And the spice HITS. Oh man, I couldn't get enough. The way the recipe Sirena attempts actually puts a lusty spell on them 🥵 I would've been like Gus.. sitting on the floor eating the whole damn pot. LET'S GO.
I think the way @celestinemartinauthor infused this story with the worlds everyday magics was genius. I couldn't get enough of the magical-gilmore-girls-esc-town that is Freya Grove.

3.75 - This is another cute, cozy and witchy fall read perfect for spooky season. I had no idea it was a series and I definitely would like to read the other books by this author! When a book takes place in October, while you’re reading it IN OCTOBER it just hits different! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a “kitchen witch” before but I genuinely loved the concept. Some people are just magic in the kitchen and I feel like even though this is a “fantasy/paranormal-esque” book, it translates into the real world. Last year I was on the hunt for more witchy books and this one was exactly the type of story I was looking for. Plus, I got a steamy slow burn romance…. what more could you hope for during spooky season?!
