Small town romances always lend a feeling of security, values, and peacefulness. In this story, the idea of family and loyalty is strong.

Heath is a cop and is investigating Cassie's ex. Little did he know that he'd end up falling for her. His sense of duty wages an intense battle with a blossoming chemistry and it was both sweet and entertaining to watch.

As with most small town stories, the secondary characters are wonderful and really add the hint of a quirky flavor to the book.
