A sweet historical romance that is what one would expect of the love inspired historical line. Slightly predictable but still a good read.

I lived on a ranch for several months when I was really young and I wonder if that's why this type of setting has a place in my heart. Brand is what embodies a true cowboy in my mind--he's a loner, a protector, and yet has a marshmallowy sweet core. I love the way Sybil is able to melt and mold him into his true self--who he is meant to be.

This setting causes very reminiscent feeling and longing for simpler times and the characters are strong and individual. But I loved the smoldering chemistry and connected, interspersed with some suspense, best. This is a great historical western romance!
