WOW! A brilliant book that had me gripped from start to finish!

Brynn and Nathan’s wedding day is fast approaching and someone is trying to sabotage their special day. Who? And why?

There were so many possibilities and red herrings that I just couldn’t call it. “The woman” was determined that Brynn didn’t deserve Nathan because she was a terrible person. Brynn definitely has secrets, but it absolutely wasn’t what I was expecting and it changed EVERYTHING. When the big twists starting dropping, my mind was blown!

A cliffhanger of an ending has me excited for the sequel!

Narrator Laurence Bouvard did a brilliant job of bringing the two main characters to life.

Ok. I hate doing this, I hate 2 star reviews, and I’d usually rather not post them, but something absolutely didn’t work here, and before I continue I’m in a very clear minority on my views about this title.

The premise was interesting from the blurb. Unfortunately I couldn’t connect with the characters at all, I couldn’t find anything about them to hold my interest me or to make me feel invested in the story.

I can’t straight out blame the narrator, but I just didn’t gel with the voice either, it felt monotone, robotic and a bit clunky, and the same sentences seemed to be used over and over again. I wonder was it a bad fit for the book, or was the writing the issue, it’s oftentimes hard to tell when you’re not enjoying the narration.

Perhaps reading a hard copy would be a better fit?

I do apologise, I hate awful reviews that seem harsh, but I appreciate the opportunity to listen to this title from Bookouture Audio and NetGalley and hope it doesn’t put others off, but equally I felt I had to review honestly.

Super quick listen . Predictable and repetitive in spots but a page turner with a satisfyingly twisty ending. Getting ready to read the next in the series now. I will read/ listen to more of this author.

Excellent narrator . I really enjoyed this audiobook
