Thank you Netgalley, Last Waltz Publishing and all the authors that put together this arc of These Lingering Shadows.

I never know if I really like anthologies. Sometimes each story is too short to bond with. Sometimes I get into the narrative and then it ends. Sometimes there's no character development. So when I picked up These Lingering Shadows knowing I liked and read some of these authors works in the past. I had high hopes. Im happy to say that mu hopes were not dashed to the seven shores!

These Lingering Shadows has a lovely balance of spookiness, the right amount of descriptive gore ( Its mild ). Characters that you can bond with and p[ot directions that doesn't just stop like walking into a lamp pot! I have read works of Daemon Manx, Jae Mazer, Candace Nola and really enjoyed their writing styles and now I shall be going to seek out the other authors and their works.

What a fine collection of spooky tales, many of them set at Halloween. There are a wide variety of writing styles presented, and not a dud in the bunch. You might be unfamiliar with these authors, but give their work a try . . . you will not be disappointed.

What this collection of horror stories does right in my opinion is, it understands that there are many different kinds of horror. From the slightly eerie feeling that creeps up your spine over the horrible feeling of loss, grief and oncoming madness to gruesome body horror, it's all in here. It's the perfect little treat for those who enjoy a creepy good night story.
