Ahhh~ I never expected this to be this sweet! As far as I can remember, I loved this more than Waking Up Married.

Thank you for the opportunity to read Waking Up Pregnant. Unfortunately, I did not complete my reading of the book before it was archived in June 2014. I do not plan to finish the book.

It was what I expected from the harlequin authors. A quick, sweet and enjoyable read. But some parts took longer to dissolve for me. Not bad, it was an okay read.

WAKING UP PREGNANT was delightful and exactly what I needed to start of my New Year right. It was cute, sweet and most of all, I had a lot of fun reading it.
Darcy and Jeff meet up in a bar where Darcy is Jeff's waitress. Did I mention this bar was in Vegas? Well, the bar is in Vegas and Jeff really wants to get to know Darcy better if you know what I mean. But, Darcy doesn't date customers. There's something different about Jeff though and she's leaving Vegas for a new job the next day, so she decides to throw caution to the wind. They have a wonderful date and then a more wonderful night back at Jeff's hotel. But, Darcy slips away the next morning without saying goodbye.
Three months later, she comes to his office and announces that she's pregnant with his child. And that is where the fun begins.
I could see this plot coming from a mile away but it didn't make me enjoy it any less. Both Jeff and Darcy were great characters. And as stubborn as they were to not be together, you just knew that it was a losing proposition. They were perfect for each other. And despite the arguments and the misunderstandings, you knew it was going to work out in the end.
WAKING UP PREGNANT is the second book in the Waking Up series by Mira Lyn Kelly, but you do not have to read the first book to enjoy this one. There is enough background given to understand how the first book connects to this one.
I've had this one for review for quite some time, and for some reason I wasn't able to get to it when I first downloaded it. I'm sorry for that because it was such an enjoyable read. This is my first book by this author, but I definitely will be revising her work again when I need something on the lighter side to enjoy.
