“Lia, let me love you,” he pleaded. “I can’t.” But my words were weak. I didn’t mean them and he could tell.

this book started off so good!! there was so much going on and the fmc (Lia) had me rooting for her the entire time. she’s been secretly training for the trials, where 2 girls from her town get chosen to be taken to another town where they have to reach the temple in order to live-meanwhile the entire village is after them sooo, it’s rough.

“You’re not going to hunt me?” He went absolutely still, his intense gaze boring into mine. “I would never hurt you.”

the premise was sooo good and the twists were great but once she reaches the temple the story kind of got boring for me.. I still enjoyed the book as a whole and although I predicted one of the reveals at the end I’m still very much looking forward to book 2. I think it’s really gonna pick up now that Lia is up to speed hehe I’m ready for some dramaaaa! oh and I loved Jason and the sneaking around moments-those were great!

I have enjoyed reading rom coms from Sariah Wilson since The Chemistry of Love came out! When I found out she was writing a romantasy series with Reylo vibes, I was like, "This is a MUST read for my TBR." I was lucky to receive an ARC from netgalley and got to read this along with my friend who was able to get a copy when Amazon released it as a first read a bit before the official release date!

My friend & I raced through this one and messaged each other constantly about our questions and theories. We might have gotten a few, but the twists & turns still surprised us! This book had Hunger Games vibes, especially when it started with our FMC Princess Lia training to take on the yearly tribute race that no one has yet to live through. Lia needs to help lift the curse placed on her people, and the temple of the goddess is her best chance to get answers she needs!

Lia isn't sure who to trust, and everyone we meet, we question what their motives are. The curse might not be what Lia originally thought, and getting it lifted might require her to make more sacrifices than she is ready for.

"When the time comes, say yes"

I have some many questions after the ending of this book & I am THRILLED book 2 already has a name & a release date! From the cute rom coms to this thrilling romantasy, there are so many reasons, Sariah Wilson is one author you need to check out!

Enjoyed this romantasy so much, there was such god world building and character development I felt like I got a really good grasp on where the book and the series is headed. Thank you to the publisher for the eARC as well as the audiobook!

I love the found family element in this more than the romance sub-plot. Lia is a stabby fmc and I love that she’s such a badass! I saw one of the twists coming but was shocked by that final twist/cliff hanger!! I need book 2 asap!
Thank you, Sariah, for the gifted e-copy! I had a wonderful time getting to know this world!

Sariah Wilson’s A Tribute of Fire is a heart-pounding fantasy adventure filled with high stakes, fierce loyalty, and a sizzling romance that will leave you wanting more. I found myself pulled into the world of this book. If you love stories with cursed kingdoms and perilous trials, you’ll be reaching for this one. Not to mention, the chemistry!

Lia is a princess of a doomed nation who is thrust into a deadly trial. Lia is determined to protect her sister while navigating a treacherous, maze-like city where every step could mean disaster.

Then there’s Jason, the enemy who is also dangerously attractive. The tension is palpable and their dynamic is laced with banter and longing.

Their romance is very “insta-love” and for me personally I have a harder time connecting with stories where the romance doesn’t have much build up.

The ending leaves you seeking for the next book. If you love romantasy with trials, A Tribute of Fire is an absolute must-read.

This was an absolute 10/10 read.

I feel so unbelievably lucky to have received an eARC for this book and for the opportunity of being introduced to this phenomenal author. I cannot wait to see where this series goes!

My one and only hang up with this book is Jason’s name. While i was reading it stuck out to me and it felt a little off. It felt a smidge too obvious and for me, outed him right away. However, it’s a really small thing that did not take away any love i had for the story or writing.

Also: I am sorry for the delay in my response, I’m still learning how to use this platform!

I loved reading this. I could not put this down. I set such a sense of feminine rage into me. I thought I knew what would happen, but it completely changed my mind.

I was so enthralled and captivated by this story! I wish there was more and I need book two RIGHT NOW.

There was Dragons which I am always obsessed with. There were trials which is like the PERFECT element to any fantasy book.

I truly did not see the plot twist coming and that cliffhanger was ridiculous. Truly have not been obsessed with a book like this in a while. I really enjoyed the world building and the Greek mythology elements. I haven't read anything quite like this before with those elements included. I was super intrigued by it. The characters were also super enjoyable and it was fun to follow their journey.

I am super excited to see where book two goes.

Tribute of Fire follows, Lia, the princess of Locris, competing in a race to save her nation, a brutal ritual that no one has survived in the past.

Lia is strong, determined and everything you want in a FMC princess trying to save her nation, her sister, and herself.

The world building is amazing. I was instantly transported to the kingdom and fell in love with all the characters. There are twists and turns at every corner and I was rooting for Lia at every turn.

Of course Lia is going to fall for the handsome enemy sailor Jason. Despite being her enemy, he was perfect for her. The tension between them was off the charts and you knew from the start he was the one for her.

You will not be able to put this book down. It is an amazing, edge of your seat fantasy romance that will have you hooked to the end. Talk about ending! I need the next book ASAP.

Thank you Sariah and Montlake for a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Greek mythology, action, romance and rituals? Immediately sign me up! I was so excited to receive this book, as soon as I read the description I knew I would be hooked and I was. Im in my greek mythology, fantasy era and this book made it so interest. From cover to cover, you are sucked into world building, action and courtly politics.

I loved Lia through and through. She was strong minded, courageous and would do anything to save the ones she loves. I loved seeing her co through all her challenges and trails and still be strong. The relationship we saw with her sisters just added to the love of this book. I didn't necessarily love the "insta love" with her and Jason but I did end up enjoying those two. The relationship ended up being beautiful and swoon worthy.

Sariah essentially hits all aspects of a great Romantasy. Forbidden love, trials...deadly ones at that, The perfect world building, the plot being intricate but also easy to follow. She's marking off all the checklist items. I will say though THAT CLIFFHANGER, I'm so upset that I have to wait for book two. This was easily a 4 star read for me!

Have you ever been distracted by a one-off mention in a Greek myth and wanted to check out that side quest?
Did you wish the Reylo dream sequences were hornier?
If you answered yes to these questions, read this book!

Big *Cliffhanger warning* though. If that’s not your vibe, set a reminder for July when the second one comes out.

Drink this book: Enjoy with an ice cold glass of Picpoul de Pinet, ideally from France. Picpoul means “lip stinger”, so you can get the effect of all the very sexy kissing in this book.

This is a story set in ancient Greece, where a princess seeks to save her kingdom from collapse. An intriguing tale of battles, power, deception, and unnatural forces. The story is told exclusively from Lia’s perspective, leaving us in the dark about Jason’s thoughts, motives, and what he knows or doesn’t know. Unfortunately, the story ends with many unresolved questions, with answers promised in the sequel.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley.

I think there is a large influx of fantasy romance books lately which definitely makes it hard to stand apart. This book isn’t poorly written but it doesn’t feel original. The writing was fun and the characters were good but I’d like a more unique story.

4.5 stars

That is some cliffhanger! This book is action packed and has characters that pull at your heart. I felt all of the emotions on our main character's journey and need to read on. There were some temple parts, and dreams that didn't hit as hard, but I'm intrigued to see where that will lead.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy to form opinions from.

this was such a fun read!! i was immediately hooked from the beginning with the training and the trials! i loved lia’s relationship with demaratus and i hope to see more of it! the middle did lose me a bit but i will say i absolutely loved the relationship lia formed with her sisters! i personally think there was little development between lia and jason but i did like their banter! this just felt like they were moving too fast between them with no reasoning or build up. i predicted what would happen at the end from the very beginning BUT it was still jaw dropping and i am SO excited for book two!!!!

A Tribute of Fire by Sariah Wilson is a super fun romantasy! I had a lot of fun with this one and found it easy to follow in terms of the world and plot. The romance was forbidden and had great banter. The most important thing to discuss is that cliffhanger!! I am going to be needing book 2 immediately!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for a review!

Thanks, Montlake, for the book!

I have a thing for books that put characters in peril, and they must survive intense situations or end up in their doom. So, when A TRIBUTE OF FIRE’s book blurb stated that Lia was in training for a life-or-death race plaguing Lorcrian women, say no more, I wanted to read it. It was the right decision. And now I desperately want book two.

Lia has many types of adventures, meets interesting characters, and solves some intriguing puzzles. Then there is the whoa moment cliffhanger, and I’m still not okay. Again, I desperately want book two.

Lia was very much filled with female rage. She would definitely be a fan of TTPD, and I would like to be her friend. If she weren’t in the book, she would be buddy-reading it with me and demanding book two.
