This book was such a fun, fast-paced read—I breezed through it in practically one sitting! From the moment Audrey and Toni collided (literally) the morning after their one-night stand, I was hooked. The twist of finding out they’d be working together had me grinning, and I couldn't wait to see how things would unfold.

What really worked for me was how easy it was to root for the main characters. Audrey is chaotic but lovable, and Toni’s calm, guarded demeanor made for the perfect contrast. Their chemistry was undeniable from page one, but what kept me turning the pages was the emotional layers that slowly emerged as they navigated their unexpected connection. I found myself genuinely invested in their story—not just the romance, but how they grew individually too.

The banter was sharp and genuinely funny, and there were just enough heartfelt moments to balance out the comedy. I also really appreciated the diverse cast and the queer rep throughout the book—it felt fresh and honest without being heavy-handed.

If I had to nitpick, I would’ve loved a bit more time spent with the side characters (Greta and Willa had so much potential!) and maybe a slightly slower build toward the ending. But honestly, that didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the ride.

TLDR: About Last Night is a swoony, sapphic rom-com that will have you cheering for its leads and smiling all the way through. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something fun, flirty, and full of heart.

I loved the sapphic representation in this book and the characters were great. Wasn’t a big fan of the pacing and wish there was more of the romance and small moments

This was a fast and easy read. And it had sapphics! That’s about all this had going for it. It did have potential but I think the problem is how short it is. It’s under 250 pages and because of that Henry spent more time on big scenes rather than showing the reader why Audrey and Toni were end-game.

They start off as a one-night stand and while there was a lot of chemistry there, I didn’t get the same emotional connection that I want in a romance. There’s a lot of lusting after one another but not much else.

There’s also a lot of stuff that happens off page. We know they spend time together but very little is ever referred to. And I feel like that is an integral part of a romance…to see the romance develop! Had this been longer we might have been privy to those missing scenes.

I did enjoy the scenes with Willow and Greta, our main’s sister’s. I’m hoping there will be a romance with those two sometime in the future.

If you don’t mind insta-lust you’ll probably enjoy this much more than I did. Also, there’s like a three-chapter long sex scene in the beginning of the book for those of you that enjoy the steam!

What an easy fun quick read! I loved this book, it was fun, cheesy and a perfect book to yank me right out of my reading slump.

[Thanks to NetGalley & the author for providing me with this ARC]

This was a cute but very superficial lesbian romance novel. If there’s one thing I don’t like in romance it’s insta love and this one sadly was one of these cases.
The book is short and therefore easy to binge read in one sitting. And while that can lead to being fully immersed in the world, it has to be really well paced for it to truly work and not feel like it has parts missing. This book had a bit of both. I was rooting for the characters but it also felt like a lot of the character and relationship development happened off page, which took away a big part of the tension and chemistry. It felt like an arrangement of plot milestone after plot milestone with little emotional development to tie those together.
It wasn’t a bad book at all, it just felt like it was lacking true emotional depth and connection which, for me, is the most important thing in a book.
I would still recommend it to my friends, especially for those looking for a quick feel good beach read.

4 stars! This was such a fun romance! I really liked both of our main characters, I really felt the chemistry with them. I also liked the other plots going on!

All I can say about this one is just that I was really bored while reading it. I was hoping that this would be the one to get me out of a slump, but that was just not the case.

This book was not what I thought it would be.
Therefore, I did not finish reading it.

What can I say about the book except I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t put it down. I started to research other books by the author to line up my next read and was disappointed to find I’d be waiting. I want more, I want to read more from the author, I want to know that Audrey and Toni get their happy ever after, that their plans are successful. I’m desperate to know what happened between Willa and Greta. Also can the third book be Max’s story.
This is a wonderful, funny, emotional rollercoaster of a book that makes you want to skip work so you can keep reading

3.5 stars, this book is cute. I did have some issues with the general instalove and the long road to acceptance, but otherwise, a quick read. I love a sapphic romance and this delivered.

I really loved this book so much and read in within 16 hours. It is such a quick read and this is in part to both the writing style and also the characters who made it. I loved the cast of characters who Laura Henry has introduced me to and want to have more of this story and see what happens further on in their love story. I love that this is a queer romance which is the first one that I have read where the whole cast of characters are LGBTQ and it has been refreshing to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This was a sweet, addictive lgbtq+ romance. The characters also definitely come with some baggage so be ready for a bit of drama! The tension was just right in this story, and I’d say the spice is about 3/5 peppers. There are a couple tropes that are spoilerish but if forbidden love (ish) is your jam this may be a pleasant surprise for you. 3.75 stars rounded to 4.

Wonderfully spicy right from the start, and there's even a bit of Christmas thrown in there too! I did get a bit confused between the two POVs at times as they didn't feel hugely distinct, but that's probably a "me" problem lol. Overall I'd definitely recommend this LGBT romance and I'm looking forward to more books from this author.

A bit of a slow burn for me. Had high hopes but DNF around half way.
It could hit home for some people though!

This book was so much fun, it was spicy, it had me laughing out loud , not just a loud nose exhale, it had miscommunication, but also really good communication, wonderful sisterly bonds, takes place in the amazing Colorado, and it was WLW. AMAZING

Audrey-a put together, business consultant, BAMF, amazing singer, wine connoisseur

Toni- a fucking hot granola gay, who has an amazing business venture for their family company, and jumps off cliffs

Willa- Audrey's twin, comedian, plant mom, baby bi

Greta Toni's older sister, possible baby bi, ice queen, prankster

Greta and Toni hire a business team to help grow their families multi-million dollar business. Of course they chose Audrey who unknowingly hooked up with Toni and had a God honest religious moment (get it lol) two days before. How will they survive the next 6 months? Idk (well I mean I do know, but you should find out)

Honestly a really great way to start off my holiday reading (I didn't even realize it was going to be Christmas centric, but I sure am glad for it)

Audrey is just getting out of an abusive relationship when she sleeps with Toni-- what's meant to be a hot one night stand turns into something else when it turns out the company she is starting a contracting position with is Toni's family's business.

I quite enjoyed this! I always love a one night stand turns into workplace romance plot book. It was a fun, steamy, and relatively light read. The characters were well-written with great chemistry. I was concerned about the element of the plot where Audrey was just getting out of a relationship, but the book addressed this fairly decently (although I still thought they could have taken things a bit slower!)

The miscommunication trope is in dire need of retirement. Authors, let it go! I don't care how realistic it is, it makes me cringe every time. This was okay, nothing special.

This was an incredibly enjoyable experience with a unique and easy readible writing style. The dual POV helps get into the minds of our main characters, which is always a bonus in this genre.
Highly recommend for a cozy read.

this book sounded good & i’m sure it is a fun read that i would enjoy i just cant get past the writing style. i’ve found it very difficult for me to pick up the book.

I really enjoyed this book! I devoured it in one day and barely put it down, it was such a fast and easy read. It has a dual POV of the main characters, Audrey and Toni which I liked because I was able to see what the other was thinking. I liked Toni more than Audrey but loved their connection and thought it was a great read with some humour and drama. I also loved Willa and Greta and wish that I got more of them.
I don't usually mind the typical '3rd act breakup trope' if it is done well but this one all came down to their lack of communication skills which annoyed me a little bit.
Overall this is a really good and fun sapphic romance and I would love to read more of the author's work.
