This book had such a promising premise—timeless love, reincarnation, and an exploration of fate. On paper, it sounded like everything I love in a novel. Unfortunately, while the concept was rich with potential, the execution didn’t quite live up to the promise.
The prose is undeniably beautiful, with lush, poetic descriptions that fully immerse you in the setting. The author’s ability to weave past and present timelines was intriguing, and I appreciated the diversity in how the characters were portrayed across different lifetimes. However, the narrative itself felt repetitive, and the flashbacks—while crucial to the story—often slowed down the pacing to the point of frustration. It felt like the plot was treading water, leaving me eager for forward momentum that came far too late.
Evelyn’s character was deeply compelling, and her love for Arden felt multidimensional and genuine. On the other hand, Arden’s side of the romance fell flat for me. I struggled to believe in their love because we’re told how much they care for each other, but we rarely see the growth or tension that makes such connections believable. Without that emotional depth, the central relationship didn’t carry the weight it should have.

Reincarnated lovers is one of my favorite tropes but it is rarely done well in books, Our Infinite Fates though? I'm obsessed!! It's got very thing I wanted from Addie LaRue, the diversity a 1000 years of reincarnation should have: global, racial, gender and sexual orientation.
I loved seeing all of the POV character's families. How much love they had for every one of them. But most of all for their love interest. I inhaled this book because I needed to find out why they kept killing each other even though they loved one another.
The only thing is the resolution was not as satisfying as I wanted. It was more fun about reading about the character when they couldn't remember everything than what happened after they found out the truth.
Thank you to NetGalley and Wednesday books for the eARC.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
Wow. I am at a loss for words.
All I knew going into this book was that our love interests were intertwined by fate, in some way, and forced to kill one another in their infinite lifetimes'. My brain could not wrap any idea around how that would look- but it was done so interestingly and poetically without being confusing.
The book follows their "current" life, while mixing in chapters of past lives- it really made the pace flow for me.
I sat down to start this and did not put it down until it was over. I had to know why this was happening, and there were no lulls or points of boredom to keep me from doing so.
It was the perfect length- it did not draw out, it did not have fluff, and nothing felt rushed.
I liked our characters, the lore, the diversity, the familial love- I really have no complaints.
There was no predicting that ending... not a chance... and I loved that.
It was easy enough to follow that I could breeze through it, interesting enough to keep me glued to the pages, I grew attached to the characters, and felt so many things.

“The cruelest fate the gods and stars had ever written: the person I loved most in the world was the person who would ultimately destroy me.”
4⭐️ WOW. THIS BOOK. My heart is shattered, my emotions are all over the place, and I am forever obsessed—but I won’t lie, the repetitiveness did get to me. Each lifetime circling back to the same memories with Arden started to drag, and at times, I found myself wanting the story to push forward instead of rehashing the past. That said, the concept??? STUNNING. The idea that love could transcend anything—any time, any place, any version of themselves—was so gut-wrenchingly beautiful. It gave me multiverse energy in the best way, like no matter what, these two would always, always find each other. And let me tell you, this book will TEAR YOUR HEART OUT and then, in the very next sentence, make you believe in soulmates all over again.
BUT. THE ENDING. I don’t know… it just didn’t quite land for me. After such a huge emotional build-up, it felt far-fetched and like it strayed from the heart of the story. I wanted something bigger—or at least something that fit better with the journey we had just taken. Instead, it left me feeling a little underwhelmed, like the book had been leading me somewhere only to take a last-minute detour. The FMC and MMC??? Still perfection. They’re so likable yet completely at odds with every other love story I’ve ever read—they don’t follow the rules, they rewrite them. Every version of their love is messy, painful, and breathtakingly beautiful, and despite the slow moments and the ending not quite hitting the mark, I couldn’t get enough.
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a digital review copy of this unreal book in exchange for my honest thoughts, I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much @stmartinspress for an early EARC of this book.
Okay you guys…I have not been THIS obsessed with a book for a bit. When I tell you I highlighted almost the whole thing…believe me. The writing in this book was some of the most beautiful I have ever read. And the story itself? Incredible. I just read that she was inspired to write this story based off of Exile by Taylor Swift! Like COME ON!
This is about two soul mates who span across time and are cursed to 💀 each other in every single life they live for a thousand years. This story was absolutely beautiful and will stay with me forever. Honestly do yourselves a favor and preorder this because it truly was incredible.

I love stories like this, and while this wasn’t my favorite, I did enjoy it. The book is a little slow and the back and forth between chapters was sometimes choppy. I wish we would’ve spent more time seeing the characters’ backstories and connecting to their history to feel the love connection develop more overall. However, this story was emotional and beautiful and so moving. You really can connect with everything about this and it will leave you breathless as you try to work out how to feel. After finishing this, I had to take a beat to process all the emotions this book conveys. I think a lot of people will really like this book.

WOW
I cannot say enough good things about this book. I was wanting to pick something up that just absolutely sucked me in and from the first chapter I was immediately hooked. Not only is the writing utterly gorgeous, the premise is incredibly unique. I've never read anything quite like this book before.
They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.
Evelyn and Arden whose souls are intricately woven together due to a curse. They find each other in every life time only to kill one another by their 18th birthday. Each death results in a reincarnation to a different life where the cycle repeats.
The book is written in both present time and the past detailing the lives they've lived together. I loved the flash back elements in this book. It was so intriguing learning about their past lives.
Truly it's been so long that I've been so invested and captivated by a story that I've stayed up late reading. Thank you Wednesday books for an arc of Our Infinite Fates.
Infinite stars for this book!!!

This book was written beautifully. There was a lot of softness woven into a book that revolves around death. I loved the flashbacks where we learned about each life they lived together. I actually think it would have been nice to spend a little more time in these past lives showing how they fell in love over time. There was quite a bit of diversity in their lifetimes together and I really enjoyed that aspect. The ending was a surprise to me. Not sure I exactly loved the way it went but it was nice to have a twist I wasn’t expecting!

Did the book devastate me the same way Addie LaRue did? 1,000,000% YES! This story is so beautifully written and I often wondered what it was like to be as smart as the author; to know so much about other cultures and their history while also being a poet. This book was as intricately woven as the tapestry Arden is described as. Our Infinite Fates is one of those can't-put-this-down-one-more-chapter-forgot-I-was-reading books.

“Maybe that’s all love is, in the end. An endless tempting of fate.”
Evelyn & Arden keep living life after life, they are drawn to each other in every single one, and before they turn 18, they kill each other. Evelyn is desperate to live past 18 this time, though, because she needs time to help save her ailing sister.
Interspersed among the present day chapters are past lives going further and further back - some beautiful, all tragic.
One might think it would be incredibly frustrating to see them die over and over again without knowing the WHY, but it didn’t bother me because I had faith it would all make sense in the end.
The entire book is written with the grace of poetry, and it’s utterly gripping.
I have read a handful of books which have stuck with me more than all other books. I think about them a lot, long after I’ve finished reading them, and I recommend them to people over and over. Even though I only just finished this one, I already know it is one of those books for me.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the advanced copy and allowing me the opportunity to share my review!

Wow. I don’t even know what to say. This was so tragically beautiful. It had definite Addie LaRue vibes. The love story was heartbreaking. We get to see glimpses of the characters past and present lives. We get to see how they lived, loved, and died. No matter what happened, they always found their way back to each other. They chose to love each other despite knowing they had to die at 18. The ending was just beautiful.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven is a captivating and emotional read that blends themes of destiny, love, and self-discovery. The story follows two characters—Eva and Atlas—who are connected by a force larger than themselves, navigating their fates in a world where their actions can have far-reaching consequences.

Oh boy! I think I’ve found my new obsession—the book I’ll be chanting “I love it! I love it! I love it!” at least a thousand times over!
The poetry, the lyrical and sensational prose, the way it wraps around you like the softest blanket—it’s a breathtakingly beautiful tale of endless love and reincarnation. This book doesn’t just tell a story; it takes you on a journey through time and space, redefining the very essence of soulmates, making you cry, filling your heart with joy, and shocking you with its mind-blowing twists. And let’s not forget the revelation—the reason why these two connected souls are doomed to kill each other to be reborn! That twist made me scream—it pulled the rug right out from under me. It was so clever and masterfully executed!
Suffice it to say, I don’t have the talent to write a love song or compose a poem grand enough to capture how deeply this book touched my soul. Words aren’t enough! It may be early to decide, but I’m certain this book has already secured its place as one of the top ten must-reads of the year. This isn’t a book to let get lost in your ever-growing TBR pile—it needs to be read!
The plot follows Evelyn, an immortal soul who has lived countless lifetimes in different bodies, only to be killed each time by Arden—her soulmate, her home, her true love... and also her executioner. They are bound together by fate, cursed to find each other in every reincarnation, with one always taking the other’s life before they turn 18. Now, Evelyn is living a peaceful life on a cozy Welsh farm, still grieving her father, cherishing her loving mother, and adoring her sarcastic, quirky sister—her person. But her sister is battling leukemia, and Evelyn’s spinal cord is her only hope for survival. The surgery must happen before her 18th birthday. The problem? Arden is out there, once again in a new body, and she has to find him before he kills her.
But who is Arden this time? The charming blond newcomer who just moved to town and asked her on a date? Or her quiet, bookish coworker—who just so happens to be reading a newly published novel, anonymously written by Arden himself, recounting their days in Siberia?
How can she stop him this time before he takes her life? Why does he keep doing it, even though it breaks him, too? Are they cursed? Did they make an irreversible deal with the devil? Is this all about revenge? Evelyn is determined to uncover the truth and convince Arden to break the cycle—so she doesn’t have to leave behind the people she loves yet again, including Arden, the only one she has ever loved, the only one she will ever love.
Final verdict? Ten billion stars! Five stars aren’t even close to enough! I loved this book with every fiber of my being! Read it! Read it! Read it!
Many thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press/Wednesday Books for providing me with a digital review copy of this fantastic book in exchange for my honest thoughts—I truly appreciate it!

First of all, I cannot believe I got an arc of this book so a million thank you's to the publisher.
Second of all, THIS BOOK OH MY GOD. My brain chemistry has been irrevocably changed. I am not the same person I was when I started this book. I need it to release immediately so that I can talk about it with other people because WOW.
Our Infinite Fates follows two souls that haunt each other in every life. They are in love, but one has to kill the other. The romance aspect is simply insane to me. I don't think two characters have ever loved each other more than these two. I will forever remain single because nothing in real life can compare to this. Their love practically jumps off the page and smothers you; it's that vivid.
Everything else is just as perfect. I love the writing, and the characters are all so fantastic. Even though the personalities of the souls remain throughout their lives, each iteration feels brand new while keeping that familiar quality. That part alone is impressive. The side characters are just as developed as our main characters. The settings change with each life, and it is obvious the author has done immense research. With every location swap I felt as though I was right alongside the characters.
In short, this book is absolutely perfect, and I will accept no criticism.
Thank you so so much to the publisher for the e-copy. Whoever approved me, I am eternally in your debt. Please approve me for Steven's next book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I wanted to like this more than I did. The concept is unique, and I understand the comparison to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue; however, this doesn't land for me the same way that Addie did.
What didn't I like?
The book seems caught somewhere between a YA romance and a mystery. The mystery element asks why the characters love each other and why they are forced to kill each other in multiple lives. This concept has the potential for success; however, the mystery is conveyed through the characters' various timelines, which never delve deeply into their lives. As a result, the reader struggles to understand the emotional connection between the two main characters. I did not see the twist coming, but it didn't fit with the rest of the book.
What did I like?
I appreciated the diversity of the character's past lives and enjoyed the writing style in some places.
Who is this for?
I would not necessarily recommend this for fans of Addie LaRue, as its storytelling is much more YA.

This is one of the most satisfying yet heart wrenching love stories I've read in one sit down. The tension and angst slowly play out in the story between the 2 main characters. It is written in the POV of Evelyn and I absolutely love that this story transform the love story to multiple ways of love. I absolutely could not put it down and if you want an emotional dive with characters this book is it. It has great pacing keeps you intrigued with the mystery and the flashbacks of the past life. And story line or why this all is happening to the 2 of them amazing. I feel like this story will be on my mind for a while. Absolutely amazing.
Thank you NetGalley and Wednesday Books for the opportunity to read this book.

There are no words to describe my love for this book. My love for this book is akin to the love Evelyn and Arden feel for each other. I am someone who only reads dark romance and has never really gotten into the fantasy genre, but this... I will be thinking about this book for a long time. I could not put it down once I picked it up.
There was so much to love about this book! The non-linear timeline was such a great way to tell their story! Having their current story be told while we also slowly work towards the origins of them. I am rarely ever surprised by the plot twists books have, so many are so easily guessed because of the clues they so blatantly lay out, but this one was one I could not have suspected.
Laura did an incredible job with this and I so look forward to reading more from her.

2.25⭐️ I was very excited about this release because the premise sounded so interesting and unlike anything I’d read before.
Unfortunately, it ended not being for me. I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I didn’t understand why they loved each other - it was very one dimentional. I just wanted to feel more from them and I didn’t.
It also had a past/present timeline which I typically enjoy, but found myself being bored and skimming chapters that took place in the past.
As for the twist?! I did not expect it at all! But I’m not sure it made much sense either…
For me, I like to see the love building and growing and the yearning between characters. I got none of that - zero emotional connection.
I think some people may enjoy this book. Do not let my review deter you.
This book is labled as YA, but it definitely leans toward New Adult.
Thank you, Netgalley, for the arc and the opportunity to leave an honest review.

This may have been more of right book, wrong time for me, but I thought this was just okay. I absolutely love Addie LaRue and seeing this comped to that had my expectations sky high. I think if I went in without seeing that I may have been happier along for the ride. I found my mind wandering a lot while reading this and just didn’t care much about the couple.

5 stars!
This is such a beautiful story of a love that defies all timelines. Arden and Evelyn meet up in every timeline and in every timeline they kill one another. Arden knows why this keeps happening, but Evelyn does not. The story follows along many timelines until Evelyn finally understands the why. There are twists and turns, so be ready. This story is one of a kind and it is one that will stick with me forever.
This gives similar vibes to The Invisible Life of Addie Larue and The Unmaking of June Farrow. If you loved those books, you will love this one!
This story is so breathtakingly beautiful and I found myself balling quite a few times when reading. I love the two main characters and their different stories throughout. It really has you questioning the meaning of life and the meaning of love and everything inbetween.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publishers for this arc. All opinions are my own.
One of my favorite quotes from the story was
"Life gives us grief like mounds of wet clay, ripe and heavy beneath our reluctant hands, and with it we can do one of three things.
-We can carry it with us and wherever we go, stooped beneath its awful weight.
-We can shove it to the back of the wardrobe, buried beneath an old waxed coat.
-Or we can make something beautiful and let it love on beyond us"
This story is so poetic and beautiful and I would 1000% recommend to everyone! Just make sure you have some tissues nearby.
