I really liked this book. It explains what the different symbols are and their meaning in comics. While they explain each one we get to read a comic about a bunny family and some frogs. I really enjoyed what I learned and the comics along with them.

Very cool! This is definitely something worth studying. Kind of like universal hieroglyphs that all people who read manga understand!

Giga Town is a wonderful resource for manga professionals and readers. I am reviewing it as a member of the first group. There are a few online and print resources with most of the information in this book, but having it all in one place is so convenient, and the art is such a joy. The notes for the iconography are succinct and easy to understand. If I have one criticism, it's that a few of the JP SFX (chirp, for example) were edited out of the art in the example panels, which affects the visual impact of the relevant icon.

I prefer to keep hardcopy and/or downloaded resources in case of internet outage/remote work/etc, so this book is a welcome addition. I'm very much looking forward to purchasing a physical copy when it is released later this year.

A nice resource, even though I grew up reading manga, I saw a few that were new to me. The little comic strips for each example are really charming, and well drawn.

This beautiful drawn guide is an explanation of the most common kind of visual signals that we can find in a manga.
As always Fumiyo Kouno-sensei uses a flowy and expressive line in her drawings of different animals to illustrate each of the examples. They are funny and cute with an unexpected punchline.

I really enjoyed this, and it's always good to have new Kuono-sensei's translated manga.

This is such a cute, informative book! Even as someone who reads a lot of manga, there were certain symbols that I had never seen or were unfamiliar with.

I had also never heard of the Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga before, so it was neat to read a bit about that. I thought it was cute that they made the animals from that the characters on this book.

This would be a good book for anyone just getting into reading manga or for anyone confused on how to read it.
