So much fun to read this one! Fun loving FMC, competitive and out to prove herself to her friends and family, and then everything gets messed up by a man

This book was phenomenal! It quickly pulled me in. I enjoyed the plot and the story line. The characters were well developed and likable. It was a perfect slow burn with several twist I didn’t see coming that pulled me into it even more as each one unfolded. It’s a quick warm rom-com read that I would recommend again and again. This was my first book by this author and I’m already adding her other books to my TBR.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley via
St.Martin's Press (thank you!!)
Feel good, second chance, it's complicated - romance story. Plot reminds me a bit of "The Wedding Planner" movie with JLo. This story is about Ali - spirited, impulsive, determined and hilarious - a girl trying to find her place. Ali's newest dream is to be an event planner. But what happens when her newest client, the groom, is the boy she had a magical evening with 8 years before and has always held a torch for? Graham has also never forgotten Ali, and their chemistry is off the charts. But what if his marriage is not what it seems either? It's funny because the humour and banter remind me a little of Abby Jimenez in how well done it is, I think fans of hers would love this book. Altogether, this made my heart happy.

This book not only made me laugh but also tugged at my heartstrings, reminding me that sometimes, the most unexpected love stories are the ones that turn out to be the most meaningful.

Ali is studying abroad in London and having a good time. On her last night out she gets into a contest with Graham who is a cardigan wearing nerd. Ali thinks she has this in the bag but turns out he is fierce competition. They both end up getting matching tattoos which is hilarious as neither wants to back down. This leads to a one night stand as Ali is leaving to return back to the US. The chemistry was off the charts with these too.
Now, eight years later they run into each other at a coffee shop in Baltimore. This is the perfect meet cute. Unfortunately, Graham is engaged and Ali is the wedding planner for his wedding. Claire his fiance is just adorable and funny I love the funny things she says. I like how Graham is Ali's biggest supporter and sticks up for her with her family.
A fun second chance romance that feels like a made for tv movie.
