The Amish are mesmerizing to me. I'm so interested in their ways and why they do what they do. For the most part, with my limited knowledge, they seem to be very kind and simple folk and that's exactly how Lizzie and Carl are. They have big hearts, which really shine through the pages, as they are characters whose words match their actions. This book is well-written and sweet and my heart was warmed as I read their story.
