Going back to our roots to fight climate change

It took a while for me to get into this book as it focusses on regenerative agriculture in hotter parts of the world. Once I got my head around how this could impact the climate by regreening and cooling the local environment and re-esteablish permanent water flows in drier parts of the world I was hooked. The world maybe warming but regenerative agriculture gives us a way to literally reconnect with our roots and work with nature to protect the planet and enable areas damaged by climate change and unsuitable agricultural practises to return to life and feeding people. By providing a local cooling effect people can continue to live in areas that would otherwise become unbearably hot.

The examples used in this book may be tropical but the principles can be applied globally and regenerative agriculture is something we can apply at any scale to help ourselves and the earth. A very thought provoking and worthwhile read.

I was given this book from the author via netgalley only for the pleasure of reading and leaving an honest review should I choose to.

This is an excellent book on regenerative agriculture. The authors offer a solution that utilizes waste to enhance soil quality and address water scarcity and climate change. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in contributing to climate solutions.
