Thank you NetGalley and Forever for this arc. All opinions are my own. This was a fun spin on big city girl moves to a small town and falls in love. I did find some of the secrecy a little hard to buy into. Overall a fun read.

This was a cute cozy romance. I loved the found family aspect but found myself getting bored throughout a lot of this book. I wouldn't try to stop people from reading it but I'm not sure it would be the first book I jump to recommend.

I had high hopes, but the book was dragging, and the random ass weed farm threw me off so much. I was baffled. Dnf at 50%

In the span of 24 hours Emma is fired from her job and breaks up with her boyfriend. So naturally, she decides to run away from her problems straight towards the farm she recently inherited from her deceased grandparents. There she meets farm manager Dan Pednekar and sparks fly as she must prove she is worthy of the farm and the town that loved her grandparents. Wihtout giving too much away I liked seeing Emma find herself on the farm and try and work through her family trauma and uncover hidden truths. I especially adored Dan and how open he was and loving towards Emma. However I felt like I didn't really know much else about him. Both Dan and Emma's family issues were kind of left half solved. Moreover I expected more of Dan's culture to come through other than his last name and the fact that his brother was having a big Indian wedding. Overall I think most people would enjoy this, however it was just OK for me.
Thank you to Forever/Grand Central Publishing for the ARC and Libro.fm for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I really did want to love this book but sadly that is not the case. I did not enjoy the blackmail plot line. I found the romance to be cringey at times. The overuse of the words "sheath" and "unsheath" and the lips popping after kissing. I did, however, enjoy the small town element and getting to know the side characters. I loved the diversity and representation that we get in this book. It just fell kind of flat for me.

A lovely small town romance - girl from the city has a major life crisis, needs to head to the small town, finds herself and love along the way! Just with a side of some weed lol.
Unfortunately I think this one didn’t totally work for me. It felt like it would have been topical ten years ago, before weed was more regularly legal and available. Now I just kept thinking of how old the issues felt, but maybe that’s just because Massachusetts is ahead of the curve.
The love story was cute, and I enjoyed Dan a lot.
A solid 3 star read, great for those who love a small town romance and want to spice it up!

I adore Lucy Eden and was so excited to read her trad pub debut. This was a fun twist on the small town trope, but I think I'm too Californian because it was hard for me to really grasp the town's need for secrecy and keeping outsiders out.
Thanks to Forever and Netgalley for my ARC.

Small town romance, mysterious secrets and found family are all my favourites so I was really excited to read this one and it didn't disappoint! It was lighthearted, sweet, and thoroughly enjoyable, exactly as I expected it would be.

I loved Dan and Emma's banter and the back-and-forth chess game was adorable! I haven't been that invested in chess since The Queen's Gambit. The whole secret kush trove keeping the town afloat plot was hilarious and so endearing. I absolutely would love to visit Greenie's, I hear the waffles are divineeee lol. I will say that I did not appreciate how harsh everyone was on Emma, and the second conflict arose, they went right back to it, even though it wasn't technically her fault. It was also one of Dan's few faults, the way he reacted during their fight, though he did mostly redeem himself from it. I was glad that there was much-needed closure between her and her family finally and she was happy with her life.

I really enjoyed this small town farm romance! it was really interesting to read about Emma and Dan’s romance. I really haven’t read a story like this one so i was glad i picked it up!

Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden is a positively wonderful novel. It is so beautifully written. Women, especially black woman tend to take on everything and refuse to ask for help. When Emma becomes an owner of a farm after her grandparents passing, she finds herself drowning, yet believes she can handle it all.
Thankfully the small community helps her before she realizes she needs it. Dan, a farm employee ends up being the biggest help of all. Their relationship is incredibly sweet and romantic. The way they grow both as a couple and as individuals is so beautiful.
Dan is the first person to help Emma through the grief of losing her grandparents as well as the craziness of inheriting a farm. In kind, Emma is the person that brings Dan back to life so to speak.
The third act was a bit shocking, and in this case maybe unnecessary, however it was handled well overall.

I found this story to be captivating and adorable. The chemistry between the MMCs was palpable and undeniable.

Very cutesy small town romance! love a good, city girl inherits family farm 🫶🏽 loved our grumpy mmc. also looooved the "gardening" aspect of the book lol. Thank you netgalley for this arc 💕

I just couldn't really get into this one. There was heavy parts of the story, and there wasn't enough romance to balance it all out. It was not what I was expecting.

Love in Bloom is a really fun concept and it has some truly funny moments. I loved reading about Emma arriving on the farm and trying to pitch in. I also enjoyed watching Dan show her she deserved to be taken care of and their chess related banter. I was excited to see how the book was going to wrap things up.
Unfortunately, I just didn't enjoy the later part of the book nearly as much. I felt like Emma's character wasn't consistent throughout the book. I liked that she learned to ask for help but in the first half she was very competent and liked her work. I would have liked to see her find a way to use her skills for the farm. I was also left feeling like while the farm was no longer at risk for the moment there was more resolution needed.
Overall, I think this book tried to be too many things. It had elements of mystery and suspense but was also a romcom and had some family secrets. I have read books that combined suspense and mystery with comedic elements masterfully but I didn't feel like this quite pulled it off.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect fluffy read.
I loved the small town farm romance between Emma and Dan. I really enjoyed the family feel from the town and how even though her grandparents passed away in the beginning of the book, you felt their presence throughout the entirety of the story.
The drama in the third act kind of felt like it came out of left field but also expected at the same time?
I'd definitely read more from the author in the future.

This book is absolutely, positively wonderful! I am so surprised that I have not heard more about this book because it was so beautifully written. As a black woman we tend to take on everything and refuse to ask for help. So when Emma becomes an owner of a farm that her grandparents used to own she is drowning and believes she can handle it all. Thankfully this small community helps her even before she realizes she needs it, especially Dan who works on the farm with her.
Their relationship is so precious and the way they grow both as a couple and as individuals is so beautiful. He is the first person to help her through her grief as well as the farm and she is the person that brings him back to life so to speak. They are such a cute pair and even though I am not a third act breakup person this was well handled. If you have not read this book you should! This book deserves so much more hype and I plan to purchase this book for my own personal collection soon!

What a delightful, Touching and steamy romance.
Emma is exactly where she wants to be in life. On track with her career and relationship with her political power seeking fiance. They have the pedigree, education and social standing to support it all. Until Emma is called to the reading of her estranged grandparents will.....They left her a farm in the middle of nowhere???? It has Emma questioning everything.
Dan has worked on the farm for a few years and built a lasting and deep connection with Emma's grandparents and when they meet at the reading of the will the connection only being physical is instant. When Emma shows up at the farm to decide next steps, she discovers the uniqueness and important impact the farm has on the town and community.

This book was painfully boring. There was no chemistry between the love interests and there were so many things happening in the side plots that it felt messy. The audiobook was appallingly bad.

Emma Walter’s life takes a turn when she loses her job and dumps her boyfriend. Not knowing what else to do, she decides to go live in the farm that she recently inherited from her grandparents in Green Acres, Georgia. She doesn’t know anything about farming but she’s also not afraid of hard work. Plus the handsome farm manager, Dan Pednekar is sure to help her, right?
Blackmail is illegal, as much as selling non medical marijuana is in Georgia. The sheriff should have known that and brought it up in the conversation to save the situation. More, they are growing and selling medical grade cannabis which is legal. But maybe I’m missing something in the specifics.
Sure, they still would have had to figured out how to keep the secret if they don’t want it made public, but it’s a factor a political individual on the rise would know.
I liked Dan and his romantic gestures.
