so I liked the two leads and the broad story, BUT this book also really tried to do too much, and it also depended on us believing the lead character was so ignorant of the person she had been with for so many years.

When we first meet Emma Walters, her life has just taken a major turn for the unexpected. Her estranged grandparents recently passed away and, much to her surprise, Emma inherits their farm. Soon after, she is dumped by her long-time boyfriend and fired from her job as a publicist in Atlanta all in the same day. Taking it as a sign, Emma flees to her new farm to seek refuge and regroup.

Emma is a city girl through and through so small town life and, especially farm life, presents its fair share of challenges and Emma is definitely in over her head at first. Making her new life even more challenging is that the nosy townspeople don’t really seem to like her and she also has to contend with Dan, the handsome but grumpy manager of her farm.

It was fun watching Emma learn her way around the farm. Even though she’s in over her head, she doesn’t give up and I admired that scrappy, resilient personality and I thought her character showed so much growth throughout the course of the story. It was also entertaining watching her realize that all isn’t exactly as it seems with her farm and that her grandparents and Dan had been providing a very unexpected service to the residents of the town, which explained why they were initially so suspicious of her presence.

I also enjoyed watching first the friendship and then the romance bloom between Emma and Dan. It was a bit of a slow burn, but their banter was fun, and I thought they made a great team working together on the farm.

Small town Georgia, one rose gardener, one city girl, inherited farm, family drama and a pesky weed 😉

Fun slow burn 🔥 forced proximity and people in their business! City girl learns about farm life that is full of drama.

I really enjoyed Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden!! It was a fun, romantic read that had cute banter, great found family, and (a trope I LOVE:) determined city girl on a farm!!

I also loved how this book dealt with grief, and dealing with the loss of things that could've been had people made different choices (this sounds very vague but it makes sense in the book!! lol).

I loved the narrator, Wesleigh Siobhan, she does such a good job with the story and the voices and infuses so much feeling into the words that really adds another level to the story!!

Thanks to Forever for the ARC of this one! This was everything I wanted in a small town romance! The characters were sweet, believable and the people in the town were fun, too! This one was mostly lighthearted with a little bit of depth in the main charges back stories to make it interesting. I enjoyed and will look for others by this author in the future!

3.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Love in Bloom is a pleasant story with a sweet small town romance feel. It's very Hallmark-esque, with maybe a little twisty surprise on the typical farm inheritance storyline.

The pacing of the first half of the book was a little on the slow side but still entertaining enough to stick with. The second half of the story flowed more smoothly, and I found myself better engaged in the reading experience.

The main characters Emma and Dan were both well developed and showed individual growth by the end. They were a fun pair and had good chemistry and passion, but I needed a bit more from their romantic connection.

If you're in the mood for a romance with a little bit of heat, humor, and drama, check out Love in Bloom today.

This is my first time reading something by this author, but it definitely won't be my last. This is the ultimate, laugh-out-loud, heartwarming, romantic comedy with loads of small-town charm. Emma's life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out she has inherited her grandparents farm. Her world is further thrown upside down when she loses her boyfriend and her job all in the span of a day. As she stumbles into her new life in Green Acres, Georgia, Emma’s misadventures become a delightful exploration of self-discovery, community, and unexpected romance. From bumbling through farm life to encountering a town full of quirky characters, Emma’s journey is both relatable and wildly entertaining.
Dan is the gruff yet swoon-worthy farm manager and provides the perfect foil for Emma’s city-slicker antics. Their chemistry is off the charts and absolutely sizzles with tension and humor, and their witty and cheeky banter is definitely a highlight of the novel. The slow-burn romance is well-paced, with just the right amount of will-they-won’t-they that kept me hooked and eager to see how things turned out.
The author did a great job with vivid descriptions, really bringing the story to life. The witty prose and sharp comedic timing ensured that even the most absurd situations felt authentic and engaging.
While this is an absolutely sparkling rom-com; it’s also a story about resilience, community, and finding a sense of belonging. The author did a masterful job of balancing humor and heart, making this a gem of a read.
I read this as an ebook as well as listened to the audiobook. I really enjoyed the narration and felt it was really well done.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was a sweet, simple read set in a charming small town. The community, full of well-meaning busybodies, was endearing in its concern for Emma, Dan, and the farm. I loved the relationship between Emma and Dan, they were both understanding and supportive of each other. Dan was a gentleman but wasn’t afraid to call Emma out when needed. While the romance was heartwarming, I felt the plot could have used more depth to keep me fully engaged. Though this wasn’t my favorite read, I think it will appeal to fans of cozy romances with low stakes and medium heat.

I liked how the story explored community ties and family dynamics, but the third-act drama was frustrating. I admired Emma for breaking up with Teddy and sticking to her decision, despite lingering feelings. As for Teddy, he was awful. It was hard to believe Emma was shocked by his behavior, especially after everything he said and did at the end. He definitely deserved to be called out for how he treated her.

It may have not been my favorite read but it was cozy and definitely worth a try.

What a wild tale! I enjoy Eden’s books, which are often quick novellas and also often shifter romances, so it was a great surprise to find out her new release was neither of those! I’m happy to say this is absolutely my favorite novel of hers (favorite of all her releases), and I really do enjoy everything I’ve read so far… though I do still need to read a few more titles.

Emma and Danesh’s story is very unexpected and unique. I definitely couldn’t predict what was coming with each page flip, and I really appreciated that with so many formulaic writers out there. A breath of fresh air! Twists and turns in their tale kept coming, kept me going and made it hard to stop reading/listening. I had a blast with these two, especially with the multicultural aspect. Emma’s string of terrible luck made for a great storyline, and Dan’s secretiveness (along with the entire town) made the reader wary but also impressed with him at the end.

Very, very well done, superb writing, and absolutely a recommended one from me!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing). I appreciate the early copy. This is my honest review.

This was so cute!

Read this if you like
small town romance

town is like a big family
city girl to farm life
spicyyyyy scenes

After Emma finds out her estranged grandparents have passed away and left her their farm, her life in Atlanta blows up (rightfully so, it was kind of horrible), and she decides to give the farm life a chance. There, she learns an incredible secret held by everyone in the town because of her grandparents and their "high" achieving farm. She also meets the loveliest, sweetest Horticulturalist Danesh, and wonders if she can create a life for herself that not only puts her needs first for once, but includes all the incredible people she's met along the way.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved Emma and all the growth she went through (even though I am a little mad at her for the "issue" she causes with Dan later in the book, but I also resonated with her a lot. Dan was also a dream. I love a man that does anything to take care of the woman he loves!

I can't wait to read more from Lucy!

Thank you Netgalley, Libro.fm, and Forever for the ARC and the finished copies!

This was an endearing and straightforward read. The small town was populated with inquisitive and genuine residents. I found it charming and loved the two main characters. Dan was a gentleman while also being candid with Emma made for a realistic read. The story was cute and cozy, and I enjoyed it.

Love in Bloom is a hilarious and beautiful character-driven story about a woman redefining her life and what she wants, which means reconstructing what she thinks is important. The romance is a nice main plot that helps propel the story forward without discounting the development of the protagonist’s journey.

I tried really hard several times to get into this book. I have read a few Lucy Eden books before, and I loved those novels. This one, however, never drew me in The narrative was so clunky in the beginning that I couldn't catch onto anything. I wasn't drawn in by either Emma or Dan. I did kind of like their meet-cute in the bathroom. I actually thought that was their best moment, but then I immediatly lost interest between the reading of her grandparent's will and Dan trying to make her tea. The whole beginning felt too clunky for me to continue reading.

I really liked this book, I would say a solid 3.5 stars... which would have been a 4.5 star but I felt like the story about teddy and the property buyers and teddy's blackmail was a little too far fetched. It just didn't fit well to me with the rest of the book. That said, the rest of the book was lovely. I was really fond of the medicinal MJ aspect and the multicultural love. Representation was fantastic and the characters were endearing and likable. I'd read a sequel!

This kinda slayed but the blackmail at the end was such a flop. This was so cutesy and low key small town vibes.

This book is very sweet! Emma inherits a farm and meets Dan, who had been taking care of the farm. Th e two grow closer over the time that she spends in town and on the farm, and the two together are very sweet and have some good banter. This book started off a bit slow but picked up towards the end. It was a very sweet and quick book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cute southern city girl who inherits a farm romance.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley and Forever for a copy of this ARC.

"Love in Bloom" provides a charming glimpse into small-town life through the eyes of Emma, a publicist who faces significant changes after losing her job and inheriting her grandparents' farm. The narrative highlights the warmth of community as townsfolk support Emma and Dan, the farm's manager, whose respectful yet candid approach fosters a deep connection between them. While the romance is sweet and the characters relatable, the plot lacks depth, leaving some readers yearning for more excitement and engagement throughout the story. Despite its simplicity, the book may resonate with fans of cozy romances that prioritize character relationships over intricate plots.

I appreciate the opportunity to review this book. Many thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

✔️ Opposites Attract
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Small Town

While having the familiar beats of small town and homecoming, there are some surprising plot elements that make this book stand out.

Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. I wish I was more familiar emotionally connected to the FMC. Or the MMC. Or the town. I didn't feel as immersed in the people or the world as I have in other small town books.
