Funny take on reality TV. When two people are matched on a βMarried at First Sightβ type of show, they are both shocked as they not only knew each other, but had previously been involved romantically years before and both were left with broken hearts. They have very different reasons for signing up and neither were truly to find love and yet, even with the cameras on them and their agendas they eventually find their way to each other after a lot of miscommunications, no communication, history and more than a little bit of stubborness! A fun light listen with a lovely happily ever after.

β§Andie never anticipated walking down the aisle, let alone with her former college beau. Their previous relationship had shattered their hearts and left them with emotional baggage. In an unforeseen twist, they found themselves facing their past breakup head-on, trying to convince the world that they were committed to making things work this time around.
π©΅Driven by personal reasons, they agreed to partake in a televised marriage of convenience, a unique storyline that I had yet to come across. The atmosphere was electric, brimming with both tension and lighthearted humor.
π§Having read the ARC last year, I couldn't resist the chance to indulge in the audio version. The dual narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux brought life to the characters of Kit and Andie, delivering a great performance.
π©΅Overall, if you enjoy second-chance romance, this audiobook is a must-listen. Special thanks to the author and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an Advance Listening Copy. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I am a complete sucker for reality dating shows and after listening to this audiobook, it's clear that I'm a sucker for books about dating shows too. This book was so good! I loved the characters, their stories and how everything came together. It was a fun, super quick read - Chick-Lit at it's best! It was predictable, but sometimes that's just exactly what you need.
This is a book for anyone who's obsessed with shows like "Married at First Site" and anyone who just wants to kick back with a fun, second chance romance, beach read.
The audio narration was excellent and I will definitely be recommending this book to my circle of reading friends.

As I wrapped up my listening journey with 'Not You Again' by Ingrid Pierce, narrated by the talented duo of Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux, I couldn't help but be swept away by the emotional rollercoaster. Andie Dresser, a wedding gown designer, is a character that resonates deeply. Her uphill battle to carve a niche in the fashion world, with TikTok fame as her sole gateway to Atlanta's Fashion Week, is a struggle many of us can relate to. The palpable financial strain of designing a full bridal line and her leap of faith into a reality show with a $100,000 prize mirrored the desperation we've all felt at some point in our lives.
Enter Kit Watson, an architect who returns to Atlanta to care for his mother. The unexpected twist? His mother insists he sign up for the same matchmaking reality show. The real kicker is that Andie is the woman he left without a word ten years ago. Their reunion at the altar was a delightful surprise that had me grinning from ear to ear. The anticipation of their awkward, on-camera wedding was a lovely hook that kept me engaged.
The narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux perfectly matched the story. They brought Andie and Kit to life, perfectly capturing their emotions and quirks. The reality show shenanigansβlike zip-lining and axe-throwing therapy sessionsβadded a fun and entertaining layer to the story. The producers' antics to prove Andie and Kit are the perfect match were hilarious and endearing, making the story even more enjoyable.
As their feelings for each other resurfaced, I found myself rooting for them, caught in the tangible tension of their romance. Andie's dilemma between choosing her revived feelings for Kit and her dream of success at Fashion Week kept me hooked until the end. The electric chemistry between the characters, their love rekindling amidst the unique setting of a reality show, added a passionate twist to the typical romance plot.
Overall, "Not You Again" was an engaging listen. The blend of romance, humour, and personal growth made it a delightful experience. If you're into stories with second chances, reality TV drama, and heartfelt moments, this one's worth a listen.

Andie is an up and coming wedding dress designer who pours her heart and soul into the dresses she custom makes for brides. Her best friend is a wedding planner and encourages Andie to sign up for the reality tv show where experts match you with your one true love and then you get married at first sight. When Andie walks down the aisle, she sees none other than her first love, Kit standing at the altar. Kit is a big time architect who works all over the world and has never found a place to settle down. Kit is just as shocked to see Andie at the end of the aisle but also isnβt too made about it. Kit and Andie are contractually obligated to be married for 8 weeks and then they must decide if they want to stay married or get a divorce. Together, they must work through the problems they experienced in their first relationship and the things they are dealing with now to see if they can be together forever.
I loved Not You Again and thought the overall story was such a fun take on similar popular tv shows. Andie and Kit have such a unique relationship and I love how their story played out. The narrators also did an amazing job with the story. Both played their parts perfectly. They were the perfect Kit and Andie.

If you love dating reality TV shows related to marriage, this book is for you!
The second this book started I could see it all play out in my head because of the wording and language used in this book. Between the producers, the camera guys, interviews, and characters "having to spend time together" made it feel like a reality TV show. And all of that detail made it an enjoyable read and I loved the narrators chosen.

While this was a cute enough story, there just wasn't enough for me to connect really. There was something about Andie and Kit that I just didn't buy. They're exes from college and had a misunderstanding that caused them to break up after a few months. After basically being contractually obligated to marry again then decide to stay married or not, they find themselves back in true love after 8 weeks. I don't watch Married at First Sight, but maybe it's not the show for me if this book is any indication.
Their relationship felt rushed and forced. Kit was the perfect gentleman and a great guy. Andie is where I think the trouble lies. We find out that Kit never really wanted to break up way back when and it was Andie's decision. We didn't really get to experience their relationship back in college or see the aftermath of the break up or what they had to deal with. Andie kept saying it took her a decade to get over him, but how? We don't know how hard it's been. We don't know what part of their relationship was hard to get over and why. We're only getting the here and now. They didn't even really talk about their past while in therapy for the show. Had they and we heard more from them about the past I think it would been a little more believable as a whole.
They both also carry a lot of baggage from their child/teen years that they mention, but never really told each other about back when (they only dated for 4 months in college) and I think that's also another missing piece that I needed to connect. We were told generals, but no specifics. It was practically the end of the story when we get details about their childhoods and their breakup and, for me, it was a little too late. I had already disassociated from the story.
Again, it's a cute enough, well written, second-chance rom-com based around a reality tv show (which are also not my jam), so maybe I was jaded. However, Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux did such a fantastic job with the narration and bringing the words to life.
Thank you, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

I liked the cast of characters in this book but honestly couldn't deal with the lack of communication throughout, good steamy sex though!

Thank you Dreamscape Media and netgalley for the advance reading copy. This book is a blend of Married at First site meets hilarious rom com. Andie and Kit have a chance to find love a second time in this laugh out loud romantic comedy. I loved the reality TV aspect of this book & the spice was medium here π₯π₯ It's a fun and easy summer read

ARC / ALC Audiobook review
Kit & Andie
This was an absolute delight to listen to! The plot, the pacing, the characters and the narration was done with a stunning execution. The narrators really made an already 5 star even better. I stopped while listening to find other books by this author to add to my tbr and came up emptyhanded.
Kit (Christopher) and Andie (Andrea) dated a few months in college a decade ago. They were really into each other, but a family issue took them away from each other and contact was lost. There was a touch of misunderstanding (they were teenagers after all) and communication wasn't stellar. They both walked away feeling hurt and misunderstood.
Fast forward to a time when they are both encouraged to apply for a reality filming that involves experts matching up candidates with high levels of accuracy. The kicker is they must trust the matchmaking if chosen and marry on tv and continue filming for 8 weeks after. Kit agrees only because his critically ill mom asks him to. Andie agrees because she knows a loophole of a payout she needs to fund her growing wedding gown design business.
SURPRISE at the altar! All the feels. All the self doubt and insecurities these characters have just have you wanting them to run toward each other. These two actually complete each other in all the beautiful ways possible.
Kit, a successful architect has been chasing his job and money and providing for the only parent he has left who is going through cancer treatment. They never had money or finer things and scraped pennies living in a trailer and making ends meet, but they had a home full of love. He has never forgotten where he came from and is humble and kind and not frivolous.
Andie grew up as an only child of a single mom who is now on husband 5-ish. She sought out men who could provide for a short time and then moved on. There wasn't much love or guidance and it shaped how Andie viewed life.
There were some heartaches, some miscommunication and times where I wanted to yell at these two for sure. But when they did come together and let their walls down it was beautiful. Quite a bit of angst, but not spice. It didn't even need it to bring it all together.
Anticipated release July 9, 2024
Many thanks to Author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read / listen / review early.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC audiobook for an honest review.
This had an interesting premise. Exes (who never have really gotten over the other) are matched up on a reality show where they are supposed to marry an unknown person and meet at the altar. Surprise! It's the long-lost love with a complicated history!! Kit signs up for the show because his mother with cancer wants to see him settled. Andie is on the show with the intentions of getting a divorce at the end to get the "stipend" to help her finance her Fashion Week show as a clothing designer.
Parts of this were really enjoyable. When the couple lets down their shields and share some sweet moments, I was cheering them on. But...I honestly didn't get the reason for the original break up. And the current relationship had too much back and forth, push and pull. Kit promises he will never leave...then what does he do?! Sigh. I don't think there was enough character growth for either of our couple and wasn't convinced of the relationship being healthy or even a true love. Then I could really do without the spice moments.

This is adorable from the cover to the story inside. The idea of lovers to enemies back to lovers is not a new concept, but this book is done in a way that is funny and endearing. They characters are lovable which makes you root for them from the very beginning. For those of you looking for some spice, have no fear, youβll find that here as well! There were some truly blushing moments that had questioning if my audiobook was playing too loudβ¦..
Overall this is an easy to read (or listen) romance that is perfect for the summer!
I would like to thank Ingrid Pierce, Dreamscape Publishing and NetGalley for advanced access to this audiobook!

OBSESSED!! I knew early on this was going to be a 5βοΈ read. I love the TV show Married At First Sight so this premise was right up my alley. Not only did I enjoy the main characters but I really liked the minor characters as well. The little snippets/interviews from the show was a great added touch! Highly recommend this one!!

These two characters were like nails on a chalkboard for me :( I don't think this second chance romance was executed well, and usually I love them. I don't care for insta-love, but most of the time ignore it and the story moves along well. but this insta-love was the first POV we get of the mmc and also like the 2nd chapter. next level insta-love and it immediately irked me. unfortunately was not a fan of this one

I really, really enjoyed this second chance, dual POV, reality tv show that has one former college couple matched up to get married at first sight, forcing them to choose love or money in this standout debut!
I loved the two main characters, their chemistry and the steamy scenes in this slow burn were HOT! I also thought there was great emotional depth and character development as they learn to open up about what happened in the past in order to take a chance at love in the future.
Great on audio narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux. Fans of Bachelor style reality romances with a unique twist won't want to miss this one and I am excited to read what the author writes next! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
TW: parental death (in the past), parent with cancer

I listened to this in less than 24 hours! I was that hooked. I am flabbergasted this is a debut book. This author shows wonderful talent here and I cannot wait to recommend this to everyone.
This is a second chance love story inspired by the tv show Married at Fist Sight. This story was written so darn well. It delivers on angst, mutual pining, romance, drama and spice. This book had me going through it. Andie & Kit were perfectly flawed characters but that just made me relate to them more. I could understand their decisions but also get frustrated with them at the same time.
The angst here tug at my heart strings multiple times. Especially towards the end?! I had to finish this is one sitting because my heart couldnβt take the emotional turmoil π
This wasnβt just angst though. It had its cute and funny moments. I really liked how obsessed Andie was with Kitβs thighs and Kitβs nickname for Andie. I also enjoyed the other couples and side characters.
If you desire an angsty second chance romance with a unique twist, I recommend Not You Again. Listen to the audio because the narrators did a fantastic job!

Some parts of the story are normal romance tropes but we always like to read them. Characters were realistic and believable. The pressure of the reality show almost ruining the love story made me root for them event more. Very sweet ending.

A fun second chance romance with a Married at First sight twist! When Andi Dresser signs up for a reality show where she will marry a "random" man on first sight, she finds out, on the way down the aisle, that instead of some rando she is standing face to face with her ex from college. Cue 8 weeks of fast burn romance and twists. I loved this adorable read! Such a fun rom com!

I loved this second chance romance!
Andie has her own business- designing custom wedding dresses. She has an opportunity to show during Atlanta's fashion week, but she needs some capital. She applies for a reality show where you marry a stranger, and after eight weeks, you either stay married or divorce. She found out that if you do not stay married, you get $100K in 'damages'. So she signs up.
Kit, an architect, also signs up for the show. But for very different reasons. His mom has cancer and would like to see him settled.
As Andie walks down the aisle towards her groom- she is shocked to find Kit. The guy who abandoned her and broke her heart in college more than a decade ago. At least getting the $100K will be super easy now- no way will she stay married to Kit.
I really liked this because both Kit and Andie felt real. They had flaws. The squabbled. But they also cared deeply for each other.
Kelsey Navarro Foster; John William Maddux narrate the audiobook. They read at different paces, which frustrated me. Kelsey Navarro Foster read much faster than John William Maddux. I had to play with the speed to cope- I settled on 1.75. Any faster and I didn't care for Andie's POV. Any slower for Kit's POV and I'd have thrown my phone out my window.
I received an advance audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

Not You Again by Ingrid Pierce is so heart warmingly good. I thoroughly enjoyed this book narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster and John William Maddux. Both narrators did an excellent job with each characterβs point of view. Loved it!
Andie is a single, well-recognized wedding dress designer in Atlanta. She hasnβt had the best experience with relationships and her mother has definitely not given Andie an example of a loving relationship.
Kit Watson is a single, very talented architect that returns to Atlanta to take care of his mother during her cancer treatment.
Andie needs money. Kit has more than he knows what to do with.
When both parties sign up for a realty tv show, they are shocked to be reconnected after not seeing each other for ten years.
Maybe they are meant to beβ¦. π©·
