A clear and concise guide to NetGalley! This toolkit is a great resource for setting up a strong profile, complete with essential do’s and don’ts. The perfect companion for a newbie like me! I rewrote my profile right after reading it.
I’ll definitely come back to it for future adjustments and to keep its helpful tips in mind.

Just what you need to start your Netgalley journey or other things to think about to help you get the best out of the service. Highly recommended

Great resource! Will be useful going forward, thank you wearebookish! This will help make my reviews even better

This toolkit was very helpful to me as a new book reviewer! I would recommend anyone who is new to reviewing or new to NetGalley to check this out.

Great information to keep in mind while creating or updating your NetGalley account!
Happy reading!

A brilliant all-in-one guide for both new and seasoned NetGalley members! The Book Advocate Toolkit is packed with clear, practical advice to help you make the most of your NetGalley experience - from setting up a standout profile to keeping your feedback ratio healthy. I especially appreciated the thoughtful section on writing reviews (even the tougher ones), which makes the whole process feel more manageable and less intimidating. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to fine-tune your approach, this toolkit is a genuinely helpful resource for becoming a more confident and effective book advocate.

This is a great resource for experienced reviewers and newbies alike. Not only did it give detailed instructions with visuals on how to write the best review possible, it included helpful links to articles that answer common questions. As I am in the newbie category, this guide was extremely helpful.

I thought this was super useful and will really help a book club. It really makes you emerge yourself into the book

As a book influencer who has just started her journey, this toolkit had everything I needed and more. It also includes extremely helpful links to articles that can answer most of the questions a fresh Bookstagrammer or a book blogger may have. For anyone (me included) joining Netgalley for the first time, it contains clear dos and don'ts. This toolkit really helped me update my profile in the best way and tweak my reviews (including the ones I post on my social media only) properly.

The Netgalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a read now (anyone who has a NetGalley account can read this) book that I recommend to anyone beginning NetGalley or trying to improve book approval ratings. It covers setting up your profile, what to do if you didn't finish a book (with a very handy flow chart), how to navigate NetGalley etc. It is very helpful and easy to read!
Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC.

This is very useful. It is a good guide for starters, but also for seasoned reviewers, as it reminded me of some tips I often forget to follow. It is also updated to the newest Netgalley features.

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is a super helpful resource, especially if you’re just starting out with reviewing or new to the NetGalley platform. It’s quick to read and packed with practical tips for getting your profile in good shape and increasing your chances of getting approved for ARCs. There’s also a solid section on writing reviews, including a few things to avoid, which is great if you’re still figuring out your own review style.
The only thing I wish was different is that a few sections link out to more information rather than including everything right there. For example, the profile dos and don’ts are in a separate document, and it would have been nice to have it all in one place. Still, it’s a great starting point and definitely worth checking out if you want to feel more confident and informed while using NetGalley.

From website and app navigation to book review tips, this toolkit a great starting point for any one beginning their NetGalley journey. The step by step guide is both informative and visually appealing without being overwhelming, and its easy accessibility via the NetGalley app makes it a convenient reference tool.

Provides fantastic, detailed information on how to succeed on NetGalley. Explains the differences between each type of book access, as well as how to request books and provide detailed feedback. Provides links to other helpful documents and information sources to continue learning about your journey on NetGalley and bookish social media in general. A very informative read.

Genuinely just a great introductory handbook/guide for everyone who uses Netgalley. If you’re already well into your book reviewing journey, it’s not gonna have anything new to tell you, but it can still come in handy as a quick reference document.

This was a nice visual guide with just the right balance of graphics and texts, on how to navigate through Netgalley as a newbie book reviewer. Very helpful!

As a new NetGalley user, this was a really helpful resource to get me started. I appreciated that so much of the existing guidance is now consolidated in one place, making it easier to refer back to specific tips. Reading through it helped me feel more comfortable navigating the NetGalley site and setting up my profile. I especially appreciated the information on how to browse and favourite publishers and find out their approval preferences.
Also, please tell me I'm not alone in learning the meaning of the word 'galley' for the first time - lol!

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit offers helpful information regarding just how to use NetGalley to your best advantage. Short and sweet, it gives relevant tips and tricks to make sure your profile has details and information to interest publishers and get your requests approved, as well as a section on book reviews, including what not to do when writing one. My only complaint would be that, instead of including all information, sometimes you have to click a link to find out more (profile dos and don’ts would be an example). Overall, a great source of support for those like me who are just getting started with book reviewing and NetGalley.

Being new to NetGalley, I found this really helpful. It breaks things down in a way that’s easy to follow, and I liked that it gave tips on how to write better reviews and manage requests without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a quick read but definitely worth it if you’re just starting out or want to improve how you use NetGalley.

This was so incredibly helpful! I really liked how if gave examples about how to write both your profile description and reviews. I struggle with both so it was amazing in helping me word things. I'm super glad I downloaded this!
