This was really helpful for starting out with NetGalley and reviewing on social media. Also knowing this is available whenever needed is a great tool.
Thank you for having this for the newbies!

As a new NetGalley member, this book was VERY thorough in explaining best practices, first steps to take and valuable tips on how to be successful in receiving and reviewing books. I’m overwhelmed with how many resources and links this guide has provided. Excellent starting point and I’ll be using it as an ongoing reference.

This was a really helpful tool to dive into the ARC/ALC world as a newbie here. I appreciate it so much when there are some grey areas, especially for folks like me who don’t have a huge following up actively impact people in daily life to read because of my passion. Thanks NetGalley for the tips!

This is a great tool kit for new members. It guided me on how to use this platform more efficiently. It also helped me build my profile according to the requirements, that most publishers would want to see. It is an easy to read book with guides that are easy to follow. I have improved in writing my review because of the tips written here. If you are a newbie like me, I definitely recommend to start reading this. A great book for starters!

Become a Book Advocate Through NetGalley's Advice
If you want to learn how to be a successful and educated book reviewer on platforms such as NetGalley, this handbook covers all topics about getting started on NetGalley. It guides reviewing their platform and provides potential resources for utilizing their NetGalley shelf app. NetGally's Book Advocate Toolkit shares paramount understandings when navigating their website. Also, it breaks down other standard questions, which, if not included within the book, are linked to be found elsewhere.

Perfect guide to introduce you to NeGalley.
I was feeling a bit lost with my first experience and someone recommended this read to get acclimated to the use of NetGalley.
It provides insights on how to complete your profile and reviews. There is guidance on how to use NetGalley when requesting the ARCs.
Great guide for first time users.

I'm not sure I noticed substantial differences from the original book kit but this helped me get started on NetGalley. I appreciate that NG is setting reviewers and book advocates up for success with this guidance.

This was very helpful for me as I started my book blog. It helped me to focus my efforts in a way that would help the editors and authors of the books that I review. Thanks!

This was a very information book and I had a lot of fun reading it. Can't wait to see what they do next

I absolutely love having this resource for inspiration.
I also use the links included in the handbook. I am time constrained often so having sections clearly lined out help me to focus on what I want to achieve. I have downloaded this handbook and pull it up on occasion to see what I can do better or add to my review posts.
My hope is this handbook will be amended as things change in the bookstagram world to help me and others keep up with better posts and trends

Great basic info to help you get started on Netgalley! Worth a read before you get started. Covers all of the basics.

Informative and great! Love that NetGalley is able to offer something like this to their readers and users. This can help a lot of people with small accounts or people who just do not know much about using the site!

Well this isn't really a book book that one needs to review but it was super helpful so thank you very much and I look forward to more brilliance from NetGalley.

If you are just starting out as reviewer for NetGalley or book review systems, this toolkit is a great place to start. Easy to read, visually appealing and a helpful overview of what to do and not do as a reviewer.

This guide was very useful to understand how Netgalley works. As a first time user, I appreciated the engaging way this manual delivered its key points in a easy to digest manner. I now feel more confident and comfortable with how to using this service.

We Are Bookish has put out so many helpful resources for reviewers who are just getting started. I really wish I had been immediately assigned this when opening a NetGalley account. (Maybe it should be included as a read now link when sending initial NetGalley account emails lol). I was winging it so hard when I first started reviewing and was constantly looking at resources created by other influencers, reviewers, and sources. If I had this when I first started it would have been SO helpful. Lots of great tips for anyone who reviews and utilizes NetGalley regularly. Will be a great reference tool to keep and share with others who are just starting!

This was such a lovely way to be introduced to the ins and outs of NetGalley—it’s all a bit overwhelming at first, but this guide broke it all down to an easily understandable set of tips and tricks.
The graphic design really supported the text well—not something I would usually point out, but it really made a difference here.
This guide is perfect for anyone just beginning to dive into the world of NetGalley.

Having looked at the 2024 Reading Journal and finding it incredibly similar to the older version (albeit with improvements to colour and readibility), I expected the same here - but that is not the case!
This Booklet contains far more information than NetGalley's previous version of it, so already this will be very promising for users both old and new! This contains screenshots of the NetGalley interface so users can understand how to navigate around. And they have some excellent examples of how to write things: like how to write a compelling book review (bonus that they used Pride and Preudice as an example, one of my favourite Austen books) or a profile for what kind of reviewer type you are. This will be super helpful to newbies on the scene!

I love how helpful this advocate toolkit is! I have to leave a review to bring my percentage rate up :)

The NetGalley Toolkit is a practical and well-structured guide for book reviewers and influencers looking to optimize their profiles, write effective reviews, and engage with publishers. It provides clear and actionable tips, such as how to craft a professional bio, highlight bookish reach, and ensure links are up-to-date. The book review tips are especially helpful, reminding reviewers to focus on plot summaries, audience relevance, and personal voice while avoiding spoilers and proofreading mistakes.
With a clean layout and concise advice, this toolkit is a valuable resource for both new and experienced reviewers who want to build credibility and strengthen their connections with publishers. If you’re active on NetGalley, this is definitely worth a read!
