This is the revised version of the “Book Advocate Toolkit.”
In the toolkit, it is said that you can read it through their app in editable PDF format. I think it's useful because there are links to pages on We Are Bookish (NetGalley's blog).
I think there are many improvements in comparison to the previous edition.
The Toolkit provides guidelines for using the NetGalley platform (and its sections), setting up your profile, writing reviews, etc.
I found many chapters useful.
In the chapter on setting up one's profile, clicking on the available link, I found useful tips for updating mine.
In this edition, they also increased the number of pages for reviews from three to five.
Another part I found useful is for DNF, that is, when it is not possible to finish reading a book. As soon as I registered, it was not that clear about when a book is archived. I reserved a book of poems; when I decided to download it, it was too late because it had been archived. Thanks to instructions in this part, I managed to properly DNF this book.
In this edition, they have removed all the pages related to how to manage social accounts (for book readers). A specific guide has been published: “NetGalley's Social Media Handbook.”

Really good toolkit for beginners and people looking to focus their reviews in a more constructive way or with better thought to the readers, to the people who look for reviews. Also a a good intro to Net Galley. Can’t think of a thing I would change.

Loving these resources that have been coming out from We Are Bookish! They provide tools and strategies for reading and reviewing books. Even though I rarely use the digital kits, I still utilize bits and pieces in my paper logs.

NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a pretty good guide to start on NetGalley. It provides information about what to put in the profile, how to write reviews, etc. It's the kind of short book I wish had been available when I first joined NetGalley several years ago. Even now, it has helped me to tweak my profile a bit to make it more interesting and easier to read.

A super handy guide about NetGalley that’s useful to both new and more confident users. It’s really well laid out and easy to read - I particularly liked the section on types of book access as it’s something I’ve always wondered about. I’ll definitely be making some adjustments to my account now that I’ve read this.

This was honestly more helpful than I had anticipated. Learned some new things and got a bit of insight, especially regarding requests/approvals. I hadn’t thought to check the publisher’s preferences. Will be using what I learned!

This PDF download was just what I needed as I updated my profile after a 2-year hiatus. The BAT is a quick read and easy to navigate. As a visual learner I found it both efficient and fun-as it is not written in text but as a collection of infographics. Well done We Are Bookish! And thank you.

A quick and easy guide to NetGalley, how to use the site, and examples of reviews to help when getting approved!

This guide was very helpful to me as a fairly new and learning member.
In the toolkit were some great tips and  pointers, I even learned some things I didn't know!

Much thanks to the publisher for the complimentary e-book copy I recieved to review through Netgalley. I was not required to give a positive review, and the thoughts are my own.

I’m taking first steps in my NetGalley journey and reading this toolkit was extremely helpful and made me consider my next steps carefully. The toolkit is a thorough, easy-to-read guide, which I can recommend especially to a newcomer like myself, but could benefit a more experienced NetGalley user by reminding of best practices.

Very helpful, I felt gave me the tools to be a better reviewer, lead to more approved requests, and how to improve the feedback I provide back to authors and publishers.
