NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a fantastic resource. For the beginner it has valuable information about writing reviews and navigating the site. It is short and engaging. For those that are more experienced, it's a great refresher and there might be a few pearls to be gained.

I am so glad that NetGalley has taken the time to give us this great Toolkit. I use and the tie I spend in it has really given me tips and hints and guidance on how to be a better reviewer.
I have never been a reviewer that gives way too much information about the book I have read. I avoid reviews like that because I don't want the review to tell me the story, I want to read the book.
Reading and reviewing books is an every changing thing for me. I love to read and if I have written a review that gets others to read the book, I am so happy!

NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a wonderful resource for NetGalley users. Even though I have been with NetGalley for several years I will find this tool as a good resource for the future.

I’ve been a reviewer for some time, and this was still a very helpful refresher to review! Sometimes I have a hard time giving feedback for a book I wasn’t a fan of, I will definitely be using the advice outlined in this toolkit!

This was a really helpful beginner's guide for getting started with NetGalley. It gives details on how to navigate the site and tips on how to make a good profile, write reviews, and maintain a good feedback ratio. There is even a chart on what to do when you DNF a book. I still refer to this guide even after using NetGalley for a while. I had initially made the mistake of going on a request spree but this guide has helped me to not do it ever again

Whether you’re a new member of NetGalley or a seasoned one, run to this Toolkit ASAP! What an incredible treasure trove it is!
It’s a most excellent tool in better strengthening your profile, both its visual presentation and content appeal. In understanding how to better develop reviews, and how to encourage we each develop our own voice when we present said reviews.
I very much appreciated the links included within the guide— it’s all interactive and will take you straight to the relevant pages on NetGalley’s site.
My overall favorite page was the Feedback Ratio 101. I never have quite understood that feature, but this page clears up perfectly.

To say I'm impressed is understating just how valuable this toolkit is. The information provided is one we all should clamor for, and one we all should learn from. I just applied one of the facets I read (specifically addressing audience target and appeal) to my latest review, and will continue to grow as a reviewer thanks to the priceless intelligence shared within this kit.
