Thank you, NetGalley for this toolkit! The NetGalley's updated advocate toolkit is user-friendly and has a beautiful concept and layout! I found this toolkit extremely helpful with easy-to-understand examples of how to update your profile which I did go and do! It even went through how to set up your devices and navigate NetGalley which can be tricky at first. I highly recommend you download this toolkit if you are just beginning or if you need a refresher on how to be most successful using this platform!

I am learning through this toolkit it is important to not request everything unless you can keep up with your feedback because it does affect your ratio! The ratio is significant because it tells the publisher how likely you are going to rate and review the book you are requesting. I think the section describing how to give the best reviews was explained well and gave great examples of what works and what doesn't. I definitely will keep in mind for the future, who I am recommending this book for and being unique in my reviews.

Overall, I am impressed with this toolkit and would highly recommend this to others getting into NetGalley! I am also very excited to see that coming soon, NetGalley is offering a kit called NetGalley's Social Media Toolkit! I think this will be very helpful, for those using Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to review books!

This was super helpful and accessible for my broader understanding of the NetGalley website and its inner workings. I updated my profile according to some of the advice given in this toolkit to be more professional and less personal, as well as adding some of my favorite authors to read and recommend. It was very helpful to get an understanding of what publishers are looking for when they are approving ARCs for people, since I previously kind of thought it was up to chance...I plan to refer to this with any questions I stumble across in my NetGalley journey!

Glad to see that this guide is being updated regularly and sticks to a nice structure besides the practical info! This guide contained many useful details about using the NetGalley Shelf app, how the website is being structured and so on, besides the usual advice related to creating a nice profile and reviewing.

Fun! A lot of this I had picked up over the years but hadnt seen it all laid out in one place before. I will be changed the style of my reviews going forward.

This guide was very helpful and I enjoyed reading the revised edition. I actually edited my profile to be clearer and more concise after reading the toolkit. THE DNF flowchart was easy to understand and I will know when to use that feature in the future.

This is one of the best tools out there! This toolkit is incredibly helpful, fun and informative on how to get plugged into the NetGalley community. I've been here for a bit but have been trying to learn from others over the last year. Since I am not a full-time reviewer, this has given me so much insight into how I can improve my visibility in the bookish community, how to find my voice and best ways to present interviews. This is a wonderful starter’s guide to NetGalley. As a new reviewer, hoping to start my book influencer journey, I felt a little lost when I signed up. However, this guide gave me tips on how to write a bio to attract authors and publishers, as well as tips for writing reviews for books read and DNF.

I've been a member of NetGalley since 2012. Back then, as an idealistic graduate student, I was excited to fill my brand new Nook with books and add the ones I loved to my library. However, due to my Nook's incompatibility and my demanding academic schedule, my account remained unused. It was only after completing my studies and switching to a Kindle that I could finally read the books I had requested. During this period, I was unaware of how to effectively use NetGalley, but this toolkit helped me grasp everything from member guidelines and profile tips to the meaning of a pencil icon next to a review. I would advise all members to download and read this guide, regardless of how long they have been a member.
