Handy little guide for navigating NetGalley. Definitely worth a read through regardless of how long you’ve been on the site.

Excellent and useful guide, I find this very helpful and will refer to it frequently. thanks. Particularly liked to see the construction of negative points.

Such a fun and helpful guide to being an excellent NetGalley member. Thank you for this. I appreciate it so much!

Thank you for giving me help with the toolkit, will definitely have to give this a read again in the future
5 stars

I love how NetGalley just compiles detailed info in a document and give it out for free to help us readers promote reading. Like HELLO? How cool is that!?

Thanks for offering this "toolkit", which contains lots of tips and good advice for both novice and experienced NetGalley reviewers.

This toolkit was very helpful! There were several tips that I did not know about beforehand such as how to withdraw a request. The review example was detailed and explained why to include certain things. I will definitely be referencing this toolkit in the future.

I joined Netgalley a while back and wasn't very successful in acquiring ARCs. While browsing the site I came across this toolkit.
This is a great resource for those looking to utilize Netgalley. There are many tips and useful tidbits of information. I am glad I found this and I think this will help me to be a better reviewer and gain access to more ARCs. I highly recommend this to anyone wishing to get started on Netgalley.

Thank you for all the information shared in NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit! I found the information very helpful and plan to utilize it in the future

Having been on NetGalley for several years, I thought I would have a read to look for hints at how to polish up my processes and reviews. This guide was perfect guiding reviewers through step by step - looking forward to the ‘soon to be released’ Bloggers tips!
A great little read for newbies and experienced reviewers- thanks ☺️

An excellent upgrade to the reviewers toolkit enabling us to do justice to the books we read. There’s enough here to make sure we know what is required of us.

Wow! I really enjoyed reading NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit. I was looking for tips on how to write book reviews without giving away too much, and this toolkit totally saved me. I learned a lot of valuable tips, thanks to this guide. My only regret is not reading it sooner, as I wasn't aware that NetGalley had such a helpful resource. Thank you so much, NetGalley, for always saving the day!

This guide is filled with a variety of tips and tricks for users of NetGalley. The information is well laid out and easily digestible, including everything from navigating the platform to crafting great reviews. Whether you are a new or tenured user of NetGalley, this toolkit is a valuable resource for anyone looking to be a stronger book advocate.

The Book Advocate Toolkit is a concise, direct resource for NetGalley newbies. I read the original Book Advocate Toolkit when I first joined, and though that was useful this feels like a marked upgrade. This version brings NetGalley users in from the very beginning, walking them through useful things to include in a profile and reminders that Read Now books can help get one started.
It very much feels as though someone at NetGalley has been taking note of common questions that crop up on various Internet forums (Goodreads, Reddit, etc.) and took pains to answer those questions here. They've also split out the social media part of things (looks like a specific social media toolkit might be coming in the future), which makes sense, as how to run a bookstagram account feels like a very different conversation than how to get your NetGalley account up and running.
This is a resource that serves a specific purpose, and it's doing it well. Would very much recommend to new NetGalley users.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to download this guide, but i’m glad I did! It has a ton of useful information and has helped me gain insight on the platform. I highly recommend it if you plan to take your account seriously.

I made some useful changes to my profile after reading NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit. The PDF was thoughtfully crafted to assist readers with writing reviews to allow for higher chances of receiving advanced reader copies. Thank you We Are Bookish and NetGalley!

This is extremely helpful! Thank you for the information. I have reviewed books on NetGalley for a couple of years now, and I was able to learn new things from this toolkit that will help me in my future reviews.

I am grateful that I read this book as soon as I did! I appreciate and develop a deeper understanding how to write a good review. I learned a lot and it was definitely worth the time to look at it

I didn't see too many differences between the original and revised Toolkits. Except maybe the section on content/trigger warnings, which I have mixed feelings about. Personally, I don't see the need for including trigger warnings in reviews. We're all adults.
For the most part, the Book Advocate Toolkit is an excellent reference for new and seasoned reviewers. It provides great advice for improving one's profile, as well as providing great tips for writing both positive and negative reviews. Five stars.

Excellent resource! I love how this was set up to help utilize Netgalley in the most efficient way. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a little boost on the do and don’ts, especially with the profile section to get approvals for the books you really want.
