This was a super cute, sweet little Christmas novella. Only 128, it's an easy sit by the fire and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and read in one sitting kind of book.

Molly the Maid is at it again. Except this time around she's not solving one of her hotel guests mysteries, but one of her own. Her beloved Juan Manuel is up to something and Molly has a pretty bad feeling about it.

Molly is her same literal self through the pages. The Molly we all know and love. And even with the writing on the wall, she can't seem to figure out what Juan has up his sleeves. (I know Molly loves some puns!)

There was a lot happening in a short amount of time. Totally easy to follow along and very predictable! Which is actually pretty comforting when it comes to a Christmas book. Happy endings are exactly what I'm looking for and this didn't disappoint.

"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times. But the trick is that it's always with the same person."

I am glad Molly is going to get her fairytale. (However that may look to her) She deserves it.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishing company for this ARC.

In "The Mistletoe Mystery," the enchanting sequel to "The Maid and The Mystery Guest," we dive back into the life of Molly the maid and her boyfriend, Juan Manuel. Set against the backdrop of a secret Santa exchange, this delightful short story weaves intrigue and holiday spirit beautifully. Molly grapples with her past and the uncertainty of trust, making readers question what lies beneath the surface of festive cheer. The narrative captures the essence of Christmas, reminding us that love and magic are what truly define the season. A charming read that will warm your heart!

thank you Netgalley and Ballantine Books for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.

This was the cutest novella with a dash of mystery! I absolutely love Molly the Maid and her view of the world. In this novella, Molly and the employees of the Regency Grand are getting ready for their annual secret Santa party. However, somebody is being extra secretive and Molly is determined to find out why.

If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, I highly recommend this novella to put you in the Christmas spirit. Thank you Random House and NetGalley for this ARC!

Sweet little Christmas mystery. This was different than the first couple of books, but I love Molly the Maid and enjoyed reading about her again! This one was more on the romance side than mystery. I actually enjoyed this for the holiday and am looking forward to book 3.

3.5/5.0

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for allowing me to receive an eARC of The Mistletoe Mystery by Nita Prose. I read the last two Molly the maid books before this and LOOVED them. Molly is such a wonderful character. This novella fell a little short for me and it felt a little bit boring but I love Molly so I’ll read anything w her in it.

This was a cute, cozy Christmas novella that takes place about a year after the second book. I did feel like the ending was a little rushed, but overall, a great read for the Holiday season!

I love the Molly the Maid cozy mystery series so it was just such a treat to get a holiday novella featuring Molly and the gang at the hotel this holiday season!

I loved that this story focused on Molly and her relationship with her sweet beau, Juan Manuel, and how determined he is to make her holiday special. I just adore those two as a couple.

Not to fear though, this isn’t all romance. There’s still a bit of a holiday-themed cozy mystery as a Secret Santa gift exchange at the hotel really throws Molly for a loop and has her questioning who she can and can’t trust. She sees some things that give her a bad feeling and it sends her down a rabbit hole that only Molly could go down.

If, like me, you’ve been loving the Molly the Maid series, you’ll definitely want to check out this heartwarming holiday story that does a wonderful job capturing the true spirit of the season. It even has a nice nod to O’Henry’s classic Christmas short story, The Gift of the Magi, which I really enjoyed.

A very short and sweet novella about Molly the Maid and her boyfriend! Perfect thing to get you in the holiday spirit. No real “mystery” to solve here unlike the other books in the series but more of a baby romance novel. Excited for book three!

The Mistletoe Mystery by Nita Prose is a novella about Molly the maid who works at the Regency Grand Hotel. As in the other books about Molly, she is a likable and very literal character. This is a quick read perfect for the holiday season.

“Waste not, want not” The famous sayings of Molly the Maid have stuck in my head since the first novel and I can tell you, her character just keeps getting better with every installment.

As always, character development was very important in this – describing the characters and all of their little quirks is what Nita excels in. The settings were familiar and therefore, details really weren’t needed but, they were there and with the timing being Christmas they were done better! The plot was perfect and kept Molly wondering until the very end. A truly wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed!

This quick little Christmas novella was the perfect means to get me into the spirit. The mystery was there but, the sweetness and romance was there too. I really adore this series, it’s a breath of fresh air and it’s an experience with each new book.

I give this 5️⃣⭐️ and I’m telling you, it’s a must read❗️

Thank you so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this one in exchange for an honest review!

In this novella, we follow Molly and her boyfriend as they celebrate Christmas together.

I am so sad that I really disliked this book. I was hoping for a bit of a Christmas mystery but there was really no mystery at all. The "mystery" was so obvious that I just didn't care. I also felt like this book was so sappy and cringe.

I really disliked this one but I hope others love it. I think if you go into it with a different mindset than I did, you could enjoy it more than me.

Still gathering my thoughts. I love Molly the Maid….but it was lacking the mystery that I was expecting.

An adorable addition to the Maid series. I loved that it was a novella, I think anything more would have just been too much. It was the perfect little story.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest reivew.

This novella gave me all the Christmas vibes and was the story I didn’t know I needed.

It's a fun addition to the Molly the Maid series. Short and sweet, this story held my attention from start to finish, and the ending left me feeling happy and satisfied—just the way a holiday story should.

If you’ve enjoyed previous books, you’ll want to add this to your list. If you’re new to the series, I recommend starting with the earlier books to fully enjoy Molly’s quirky character.

This was a very sweet and fun holiday novella, and a bit different than the previous novels about Molly. Molly is an endearing as ever, and I love seeing her have a real relationship, and deal with some of the insecurities that come along with that.

It was fun to revisit characters we've met in previous books, and always nice to be back at The Regency Grand.

I do think it's important to read the other books about Molly prior to this one -- there are a lot of references to characters and situations that have happened in them, and there are some spoilers.

If you've enjoyed Nita Prose's previous books, I would recommend this -- it's a sweet holiday story and nice continuation of Molly's story.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

What a delight! Nita Prose did readers a solid by turning the world of Molly the Maid into a charming series. I gleefully read The Mistletoe Mystery as with a cup of hot chocolate. This story (like the other two) are mysterious but cozy and sweet. The story of Molly and her crew will warm readers from the inside out this winter season. One bonus of reading this little novella is hearing more details of the beloved Gran. I only hope Molly has many more books and stories in her because I have fallen for these characters.

Thank you to the publisher for my gifted copy.

Maybe I was expecting a little too much from a standalone novella in this series, but this felt wholly unnecessary and the “mystery” was only predictable and underwhelming. It’s short enough that it didn’t feel like a complete waste of time to read, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a must-read if you enjoyed the first two full-length mysteries and want to keep up with the series. I think you can skip this one and be just fine!
