The Mistletoe Mystery is a short, holiday “Molly the Maid” novella. It is just another snippet of the curious mind of Molly as she navigates her world without her Gram and leaning the dynamics of love with her relationship with Juan.
What I loved:
🫶🏼 this was a perfect jumpstart to getting in the holiday spirit, especially for fans of other Molly books!
🫶🏼 always the authentic thoughts of the fav, Molly.
🫶🏼happily ever afters!
Would have loved more of:
✨ more Christmas vibes… was just looking for more of a sensory experience reading a holiday story. I want to taste the peppermint and smell the Christmas tree.
✨ a little more mystery intertwined… as to the feel of her other stories. Perhaps with one of the hotel guests and weave that into the ending!
All in all, this novella would make for a fun, quick Molly story to get you in the holiday spirit!
Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the opportunity to read this digital ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinions of this read!

Molly the Maid and Christmas...there is no better combination. I love it when things go over Molly's head and this time in particular the surprise is especially fun and sweet. I love seeing Molly in love and Juan Manuel is such a treasure to her.

What a wonderful holiday story. The perfect book to start the Christmas season. Love, romance, mystery, and holiday making. It’s a must for your Christmas reading this year.

Molly the Maid is one of my favorite characters! While I think the “twist” here was fairly obvious (and was probably meant to be obvious to everyone except Molly), this was a lot of fun to read. Great festive holiday vibes and a feel-good story. I’m always rooting for Molly, so I loved to see her get to experience happiness!

If you love Christmas and Molly, this is the perfect cozy read. I wouldn’t say it’s a mystery, it’s obvious to everyone (except Molly) where this book is going but it’s adorable seeing Molly in her relationship. It’s so sweet how the focus is on love and making magic for the holidays without a lot of money. I can’t wait to read more Molly.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC.
I have loved the last 2 Molly the maid books and this one is no exception. What a cute little novella for the holiday season. This time Molly has to solve a mystery that affects her personal life. While the story is very predictable and gives many clues as to what might happen, it is well written and thoughtfully put together. Molly is her usual sweet self and her relationship with Jiuan is very endearing.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves Moljy and would like a fun quick read for the holidays
5 🌟 for me

This is a sweet Christmas rom-com that I thoroughly enjoyed. The holidays were always a special time for our favorite maid, Molly Gray and her Gran and the tradition continues with Juan Manuel. Molly doesn't understand what Juan Manuel sees in her and even more doubts arise when he starts acting weird and disappearing. The mystery isn't whodunit, but what's going on.

I love that we’re getting Molly the Maid novellas! This one is perfect for the holidays and a very quick read. We learn how Molly makes the season magical with special traditions passed down from Gran, alongside new ones Juan Manuel introduces. It's just delightful, featuring snowy days, kind gestures, and thoughtful gifts galore.
Considering the focus of the first two novels, I was caught off-guard by the lack of an actual mystery. Rather than a crime to solve or a criminal to catch, the book follows Molly as she determines whether a loved one is deceiving her. It’s honestly a bit of a bummer. But the fact that this is a novella keeps it from being too sad for too long, and the ending is wrapped up like a tidy little Christmas bow.
If you enjoyed the first two Maid novels, you’ll have a great time reading this short, festive story!

This was a cute holiday read! Molly the Maid is back at it again! She is working hard as a maid, but getting ready for the holidays with her boyfriend Juan. When Juan keeps doing weird things like coming home dirty and going into strange rooms at the holiday Molly has a bad feeling. She already questions why Juan would want to be with her. He’s being extra sweet with giving her little gifts in the Advent calendar and trying to make Christmas specials even though they don’t have much money. She has to figure out what he’s up to.

Thank you to NetGalley for this arc, although it has now released! I love Molly the Maid. She’s so humble, authentic, and charming in her quirks. I will read every story she’s ever in and I do hope this one is a segue to a next chapter in her life. This short story will be a perfect Christmas read. While I’m surrounded currently by my Halloween decorations, this kind of made me want to rush ahead to Christmas trees, carols, and cookies. This story sees Molly trying to hold on to her positive attitude but having some doubts as furtive actions are happening around her. We see her start to question her newly gained understanding of people. Most books don’t want you to know the secret but this one wants you o know while it keeps the protagonist in the dark. As can be expected with this series, alls well that ends well, though. Just a lovely treat and I’m so happy I got the gift of reading it before the masses so I can encourage all mollys fans to get on board it become a fan for the holiday.

I was so excited to read this little, short story about Molly the Maid. I enjoyed it but about halfway through I was getting a little annoyed by Molly. I have read the first 2 books in this series and so I understand how Molly is. But she just was going on and on and getting depressed and upset. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I can't really explain it well. But the ending, that's why I rated it 5 stars. The ending was so sweet and brought tears to my eyes. It's a great little read for the holidays.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this novella from one of my favorite series. I absolutely adore Molly the Maid and this short story about her and Juan Manuel!

I am here for all the books with our favorite maid Molly! Seriously, everytime I read a book in this series I can't help but smile. Molly is just a ray of sunshine and I love her!
Molly loves the holiday season but she still struggles during this magical time. Her beloved grandma would make every Christmas extra special for them. Now with her boyfriend Juan by her side, she is ready to embrace the season. But things might not be as merry as they seem. We follow Molly as she tries to uncover the mystery of what is truly going on. Will Molly be able to get the magical holiday season she deserves?
What I enjoyed:
- This was such a fun read and I loved the Christmas vibes. The book has made me super excited for the next installment for this series.
- Molly and her quirky quotes always warms my heart and puts a smile on my face
-this was a great little read to get us geared up for the next book!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I can't wait to see what happens next to our favorite maid Molly. 4 stars out of 5. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

LOVE!!! I absolutely adored reading another Maid story... I hope Prose continues to offer the novella form between the novels. This was the best cozy mystery I've ever read. 10/10.

Thank you for this free ARC in exchange for my honest review. I loved dipping back into Molly's world a bit and this little holiday story is sure to get you in the spirit. While this wasn't the "mystery" I was expecting it was a cute and easy read.

The latest adventure of Molly Maid is a holiday novella that is full of Christmas cheer, but with an edge of the anxiety that often accompanies the season. I experienced both the joys and pitfalls of the season right along with Molly, and I highly recommend this quick, light, but ultimately meaningful mystery.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

An insipid little story that didn't need to be written. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a heartwarming Christmas novella that really gets you into the holiday spirit. Molly is up to her usual hijinks and it was a quick read that adds nicely to the Maid series.

liked Nita Prose’s first two mysteries featuring Molly the Maid, The Maid and The Mystery Guest. Molly works at the Regency Grand Hotel. When her Gran died, Molly lost the person who understood her worldview. Molly sees things a little differently than other people, and sometimes needs clues as to what’s happening. But, I think I’m finished after reading the novella, The Mistletoe Mystery. I’ve appreciated Molly’s viewpoint since it is different, but I’m tired of a view that doesn’t trust anyone.
It’s December, and Molly’s Gram always made the Christmas holidays special, beginning with Advent. There was a special gift for Molly every day beginning December 1. Although Molly’s boyfriend, Juan Manual, does everything he can to make the holidays special, Molly worries that his love for her won’t last.
Juan seems to be putting in extra time at work, and he seems very attentive to some of the guests. Now, Molly worries that there’s something wrong, something off about Juan and their relationship.
I’ll admit other reviewers loved this, and thought it was a perfect little Christmas mystery. I was just too exasperated that Molly couldn’t see the love that was right in front of her face. The Mistletoe Mystery just wasn’t for me.

A story you’ll want to revisit each Christmas
The sweetest read, this book truly captures the spirit of the holiday season. What a delightful addition to the beloved Molly the Maid books. Molly, quirky as ever, finds the holiday season bringing both nostalgia and new adventures as she navigates her first Christmas without Gran, who always made the season magical. But love and comfort are abound as Juan, her partner, helps Molly to celebrate their Christmas traditions while adding his own heartwarming surprises.
As the Christmas work party approaches, Molly's worries surface—especially regarding Juan's puzzling behavior—but we are quickly reassured as everything falls into place, unveiling yet another intriguing mystery. I loved Molly’s vulnerability in this story,it made her so relatable and an endearing detective.
What a perfect choice for getting into the festive mood, but I do recommend reading the other two books in the series to fully appreciate Molly's mishaps and adventures .
Fans of the series will surely be eager for more adventures with Molly. This book comes highly recommended!
