A well-written and enjoyable book, I am glad I requested this title and will be more than happy to pass the title along to my fellow library purchasers.

I loved this book. It showed the harsh realities of those mining towns from a child's perspective. As a trained teacher I would definitely read this book to a group of upper elementary students. As an adult I think we could learn a little from the actions of corporations and the effects those actions have on children. In these situations I feel that children are usually an afterthought and the lasting effects on them are not realized. Bravo to Ms.Dulemba for such a thought provoking book.
